As of 10/2012 this is the best Lego helicopter currently available and costs 34 bucks. Once constructed, it's not as fragile as other choices and offers features unavailable on others such as the loading ramp in back. Additionally, the alternate construction dual-propeller plane is a pretty nice too.However, most may hesitate due to the high price. What you get is additional size, model build quality, and little features for the money. Is it worth twice the price? Only you can make that call. Am I happy I bought it? Yes. Does my pre-K boy love it too? Yes. (Admittedly he's a bit young, but that's where the model build quality is worth it because the helicopter falls apart much less allowing him greater enjoyment and less time fixing it.)If you do decide to go a cheaper route,

I grew up with Legos and always loved them. I bought this for my grandson who just turned 5. He was never one to put a lot of things in his mouth and has been playing with the Duplo blocks for a couple years. These turned out to be as much fun for his father, mother, and me as they were for him. He gave us projects while he built some of his own.Legos are ageless and an excellent family bonding toy. I think they should be in every household.Also worth noting is the lesson learned quickly about picking up toys. Stepping on a Lego in bare feet is an experience you, and your child, will not wish to repeat.

My son is almost 8 and we buy a ton of Lego kits. Some of them can be challenging for him, especially the more intricate ones like the Lego Technics. This one was pretty straightforward. He didn't need any help and he changed the creation several times on his own. I love the Creator series personally. They make good sized models with moving parts, but they're not too hard for kids to build, even kids a little bit younger than the recommended age group. I feel like you get your money's worth out of them too since you can create and recreate 3 different models with them.

OH MY GOODNESS! GRANDSON HAS SPENT HOURS WITH THIS LEGO CREATOR SET. HE LOVES THE CREATOR BOTH BECAUSE IT IS FUN TO BUILD, BUT ALSO BECAUSE YOU CAN MAKE SEVERAL DIFFERENT VEHICLES OUT OF THE SET...LIKE BUYING THREE TOYS IN ONE, PLUS HE BUILDS THINGS THAT HE DREAMS UP AND DESIGNS HIMSELF. gREAT BARGAIN, ALL IN ALL! THESE LEGOS GIVE YEARS OF FUN...EVEN GROWNUPS PLAY WITH THEM WHILE REMEMBERING THEIR OWN ADVENTURES WITH THEM...AND THEY CAN BE USED BY SIBLING REPEATEDLY AND NEVER WEAR OUT OR BECOME BORING. FANTASTIC INVESTMENT!

Children tend to decide if they like legos and than they pretty much take it from there. Lego City is my nephews item of choice . So these 3 in 1 sets are pretty nice . Gives them multiple tasks to build 3 items using one set. He likes them and this set was no exception. Lego fans love legos. So if your child is in that category, they will consistently be looking for more to add to their ever growing collections.

I gave this to my grandson who just turned 6. The ages say 8 to 12 but he actually looked at the directions and made them himself. He was thrilled with it. It is also pretty cool because it makes 3 things instead of just 1. I feel it is worth the price and one of the better lookng helicopters out there. A good price because I bought it along with other things so I got the free shipping from Amazon.

I have to help my five years old grand son to assemble the helicopter.This is because there are some different, and sophisticated, types of pieces.But it was worthwhile. We spent some hours figuring out together and the result is amazing.Awesome!

My 11 year old grandson was thrilled with this LEGO set. He said the pieces that came with the set were not only great for building the helicopter but will intermix perfectly with his other planes he’s working on! Great value!
