My Children love anything Lego and these smaller sets are great for small rewards throughout the year, smaller gifts perhaps for classroom friends Birthday's (small Lego sets have saved me a number of times when they suddenly pull out an invitation from their bag and the party is the next day!) and of course stocking fillers at Christmas time.I buy quite a lot of Lego throughout the year and I have bought a few of these smaller under ten pound sets which always seem to be great value and the fact that this set comes with 3 figures is great as there is tons of play value with this set. This is my Children's first Lego City set from the new Jungle range and they managed to build in between them

I got my first Lego set around 1959. Lego has changed a lot since then but I still enjoy building the little sets and admiring how a pile of plastic bricks can be made into a fun little toy, or a decent looking model. But for me the fun is the building rather than any subsequent playing.This model is fairly simple (88 pieces) and aimed at age range 5-12 (which counts me out completely). It builds two main pieces: an air boat, and a jungle set piece containing a hidden treasure horde. There are three Lego figures and an alligator/crocodile.The instruction booklet has 32 pages of instruction, plus a parts list and adverts for bigger Jungle-themed sets. The instructions are very simple – most pages involve adding only 1 brick.

Your response to this Jungle Starter Set will probably vary according to how you think of Lego. If you're looking for a small toy to give as a birthday present or similar, and are looking for a toy, then this will go down a storm. There's a crocodile, a boat, a weird jungle piece, three characters and a load of accessories, such as a magnifying glass and camera. Basically lots to have a play around with and imagine the characters having a mini adventure.If, however, you're looking for a construction toy, then this probably isn't the best one to pick, because although there are a lot of small Lego things in the box, there isn't a lot of construction involved.

You can't beat lego. As a construction toy, and as a gift. This is a "starter set" which is a sort of lego euphemism for a "doesn't really build a whole model" set. Normally lego these days is either "classic" (box of bricks) or a set that builds say a car or whatever - these build a few fragments of stuff. I'm not sure what they're a "starter" for but, you know, it doesn't matter - they come with instructions and they're fun and easier to build than a single model set.The crocodile in this one is awesome.It seems to replace a previous jungle starter set that we had, I can't remember the name, it had some guy trying to leg it with some money in a hovercraft as I recall,

A small Lego pack, ideal for a children's party gift or stocking filler or to spend the pocket money on. Your average 12 year old might be a bit underwhelmed by this but 5/6 year olds will love it.Comes with three Lego 'human' figures and a fun crocodile. Make up some jungle adventures and have a good bit of fun with your children with this - make sure the croc doesn't get you!

Expensive for what it contains, but a good set if you plan on collecting more in the jungle series - this is easy to assemble, and is of the same quality you come to expect from Lego.I feel this set should have more included, and there are better sets out there; but if you want the jungle sets, then you'll want to add this to your collection.

This is a great little starter set - would make a lovely birthday present for a kids party. The crocodile in particular is great as you can make up to 2 figures ride on his back. The boat is quite an easy build and the whole lot will prob take a practiced Lego build less than an hour but a nicely balanced set of things to play with.

Gave this to my 7 year old to build and using the instruction book he built it entirely independently so it’s an easy build with clear instructions.The set is quite small. With 3 mini figures, a crocodile, tree and vehicle. Lego is never cheap but the set is ok for the money.

This set is an addition to the Lego Jungle series, not the starter set, which is sold separately. It contains three mini figures, a super cool crocodile and a boat.The Jungle series itself is quite large.

I bought this as an award incentive for a boy of 7 that I tutor. He has a passion for animals and for lego so this was a perfect item for him. He loved the crocodile!
