This is a nice set if you kid is a Cars fan and plenty of bricks to play with. I just deducted one star, because the there is a full sticker sheet for the different MACK paints instead of using factory painted ones that we prefer, as there is a much less wear and tear with paint.Also be aware of the price fluctiations, I bought this set earlier for less than 20 pounds, which is an excellent price.About the Cars Lego franchise: if you check the catalogs you can count 5 different Lightning Mcqueen and 7 Matters, which is a bit extreme, as differences are limited to a few bricks only. However there are a couple good sets with cars not available alone,

Bought this as a treat for my 3 1/2 year old, and of course out of a certain amount of geeky joy for Dad to!Great set, instructions are easily followed, truck when built is robust enough to be used as a toy, my son LOVES that you can rotate the roof and sides of the truck to see inside and has already spent may hours running imaginative games with his other cars and the truck interacting together. The important parts of the faces on both characters are etched on the bricks not stickers which aids durability. All round excellent set for kids of all ages. Combined this with the little set including Luigi and Guido which spawned some great character interaction,

Bought this lego set for my 3 1/2 Year old son.While it is reasonably complex - the illustrated instructions are particularly well put together.Each step has details of the pieces you need for that step, which helps.The finished items, Mac, Lightning and the trailer are perfect - the attention to detail is as good as any Lego model. My son has been playing with it non-stop since he got it and it even manages to survive interactions with his 1 1/2 Year old sister.Top model!

This was bought for my daughter for her 7th birthday. She loves and had great fun constructing. The instructions were absolutely superb and easy to follow. My two daughters have had hours of fun playing with it already. Would highly recommend it, it's durable and great value for money.

We got this for my sons 5th birthday, he made it with his daddy and loves it and plays with it lots. You can never go wrong with Lego. Got this when it was on offer so a great price too.
