A very good product. If you wish to do so you can paint or varnish it - no further preparation e.g. sanding required. My only criticism doesn't relate to the product but the delivery. The delivery was prompt and, as requested, it was left in my porch. But it was definitely NOT handed to the resident as it stated on my order receipt. There should be a category for this. If (as is not the case) I needed to challenge some aspect of the delivery "handed to the resident" could weaken my case. A cynical person might even think that is the intention.

These were fairly decent boxes. I used the smaller size to keep some nicknacks out of the way and tidy and the larger ones for documents and a few other items. The wood on the sides could be a little thicker, i attached some small Hasp & Staples and the tiny screws i had pierced the interior (but only just). One thing i would recommend to the manufacturer - use a vacuum cleaner on them. the residual sawdust left inside the largest was a little excessive.

This is a very noce basic box which can be customised to create something special. I made mine into a jewellery box and decorated it with decoupage and lined it with felt. The finish of the box was excellent and a friend who got one just stained and varnished hers to make a lovely keepsakes box. The quality of the wood is lovely and the boxes are put together very well. I think I now have an heirloom to pass on.

Ive bought a few boxes from these people. Always been very happy with what has arrived. This one though arrived with a scratch across the lid. No biggie as I was never gonna use the lid for this particular project. As the outside wrapping was not scratched it did not occur during transit or unpacking. Must have happened before dispatch. Shame but lovely box.

I bought this for a young man who has many memories of his late father that he wants to look after. Our idea is to either paint or decorate the outside with pictures, logos and some form of lettering to make it into something very special for the future. Great size and construction. Very pleased and perfect canvas for creating a unique keepsake. Thank you

It's lovely quality and I finished it off with some Danish oil, rubbing it down a bit between coats, to make a smoother finish. The joints are nicely finished off, it's sturdy but not heavy, and the lid closes perfectly. I highly rate this product and am very happy with it. It's also a good price (for me).

My daughter wanted a cheap wooden box for making into a treasure chest. I ordered this one as it looked good value for money. I wasn’t sure what to expect but was pleasantly delighted. Well made with no rough edges. Perfect for her and her treasures. I know where to order from if she requires another one!

What a lovely box. It looked nice untreated on my pine shelves, but now I've given it a coat of honey coloured stain it looks stunning. It took the stain very well too, no patchiness. So pleased with it I've just bought two more without lids but with handles to store stuff under the shelving unit.

Bought this for my son to store his collectable comics, very pleased with this item. Had an issue with the first item that arrived but the seller sent a replacement very quickly. Once this box is full I would happily buy another one of these.. Looks and feels good. Very good value for money.

the delivery came really quick and the box is made of really lovely wood that is easy to paint and decorate, excellent for what I want it for. The company really cares that it has arrived safely and that you have no problems with it. I will definitely order from them again.

An excellent little wooden box. Bought for storing art materials but ideal for all sorts of things - stationery, old photos, as a sewing box, for craft supplies etc. Much nicer and more attractive to have around the house than yet more plastic.

I like the original wood look but I didn’t expect it would be so roughly made that it has saw dust all over and not smooth at all, like an unfinished product. I guess it is good for further crafting as it needs lots of improvement.

Excellent. This is a great little box for my bach flower remedies. I might purchase another for essential oils. It would make a good jewellery box too. It is not finished so you can add varnish, paint etc. Might add a clasp on it.

Very neat and well made good sized box!I thought I got a bargain but I have since found a high street shop that has them Way cheaper.. I will admit the quality and weight isn’t as good as these boxes though. Would still recommend

These boxes are lovely. They're well made with a nice smooth finish. Not sure how we'll decorate them yet but happy to use them as they are in the meantime. Smaller than I expected but that's my fault (no spacial awareness) lol.
