I have had several Microplane graters as well as the John Lewis equivalent and they have all fallen apart after a while as the polycarbonate frame has cracked and broken.This Lacor is not as sharp as a Microplane, but its a lot tougher. There are no bits of plastic to break off and I haven't bent it yet.Together with it being less than half the price of a Microplane, my next grater will be a Lacor.

A very sturdy well made product and very sharp. I bought this to replace my old Microplane. Bought Lacor this time as Microplane is now ridiculously over-priced. I think this product is actually better made. Being steel instead of plastic it's not going to snap like my microplane did eventually. I bought the Fine, which is fine. I think I will also invest in the medium also. Would recommend.

Very sturdy, and plenty sharp enough (have grated a couple of knuckles). Bought the fine for cheese and extra fine for zesting, and tbh the extra fine would’ve done both happily. Quality bit of kit. Recommended.

I love this. The handle makes it easy to hold while you grate and the holes are the perfect size for Parmesan on pasta. Really good buy - even my kids love it although care is needed as it's quite sharp.

I like this product. It is pleasing to the eye, easy to handle and performs very well - making very easy work of yielding fine strands of zest of lemon. Afterwards, it proved very easy to clean.

Smart looking, efficient and easy to clean; a great addition to our kitchen. The plastic clip-on protective cover is a good idea to prevent accidents whilst reaching into the drawer :o)

I'd hoped it was a bit finer, more like the fine Microplane. For zest it feels a bit to coarse for my taste. Otherwise very satisfied with quality and function for other purposes.

Grater is sharp and easy to use. I think I should have bought the fine one though for things like parmesan and lemon rind! I may still do this at some point.

Provides small curls of cheese. very sturdy and feels robust. The case is quite hard to put on and off though so we just leave it off now

A lot bigger than I expected, but very sharp and effective. I would not want to get my fingers near the Sharp Places!

Works like a dream. My remarks for the 61343 also apply here. Next on my list is the Lacor extra-fine grater .

the grater is sharp und grates very well. A bonus is the plastic protective cover.A good buy for the money.
