I've spent a ridiculous amount of money on dog toys, the vast majority of which are chewed through immediately by my pup and have to go in the bin usually in the same day. Having spent hours researching toys that would last, I tried this one.Yes, it's small (if I hadn't read previous reviews I think I too would have been a bit disappointed by how small it is). But it's not too small for my medium sized dog.A few weeks in and there's not so much as a dent in the rubber after being chewed each day. My dog's happy to play with it with or without treats in, and it seems to be withstanding so far. Kong is the only brand toys that have survived his chewing so far (he has two of the classic style ones, and a bone shaped one also which have all made it 6 months so far).

Very pleasantly surprised with this product, not even so much as a dent from the puppy that has managed to destroy every single rubber toy it has ever come across. I bought a second one for when he is at my parents house. Puppy loves it, chews on it all the time. Really strong and durable and not been easily ripped apart (still in one piece after 3 months which is a first for us!), would highly recommend for strong chewers. Haven't done this myself but the packaging also suggests placing treats in it. I bought the M/L one which seems a bit wide to put treats in without falling out but I suppose you could just put bigger ones in or use a paste but I have not tried any of these yet.

Still early days yet, but my Staffy has been doing her best to try and destroy this. All in vain, thus far (about 6 weeks). It's a good size to play tug with, and works well as a retrieval toy, and it's seriously tough stuff. I've used Kong products before with Staffy's, and they don't tend to stand the test of time (and teeth), but this little number has yet to even show any marks, never mind splits or damage. It's fast become her go-to toy. Highly recommended.Wish they were available in other colours too, then I could take it out and throw it for her on walks. It's too hard to see in undergrowth, being black. Not a gripe though, as that's not what the toy was designed for.

I was expecting this to be a Kong Extreme toy as it was black.... my assumption, and frankly when I unwrapped it I was dubious, as its quite soft However I am so totally NOT disappointed... my chewer/destroyer of most toys she touches that don't usually last 5 minutes pooch has NOT yet managed to destroy this toy ... she`s had it in her possession an entire week and there`s not a single bite, blemish or mark on it in any way shape or form ....YAY !!! smiley faces all round !! Thank you Kong !! Totally good value for the sheer fact its lasted way longer than the usual 5 minutes , or less , lets face it of a lot of dog toys !! would most definitely recommend/buy again

If you have a dog, and especially a puppy, the mere thought of a Kong product provides instant relief. I’ve got several Kong products and they’ve not let me down yet.The Traxx is a chunky tractor tyre-like product made from a strong, chewable material. The inside of the tyre can be loaded with treats but it really lends itself to putting in a paste of choice for the dog to get its tongue into. Something like soft cheese or peanut butter works brilliantly (essential to make sure it doesn’t contain Xylitol as it’s poisonous to dogs….Sun Pat and Skippy don’t use that so should be safe) or Kong’s own spray-on paste.

I bought this for my 3yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier after being convinced by the other reviews. I have to say, I'm very impressed. When it arrived I was a little disheartened, it was smaller than I expected and the feel of it wasn't much, I was sure I had just paid £10 for 10mins of fun for him. But low and behold, it surprised me. He's a staffy, and he's made it his goal in life to destroy every toy handed to him in record time, no exaggeration. But he's had this all day and there's barely a mark on it, and he really has tried his best to destroy it. I'll be buying more Kong products from now on.

My dog is a shih tzu staffy cross, he has the cuteness of the shih tzu and the jaw of the staffy and he destroys his toys in no time if they aren’t strong enough. There aren’t many toys we’ve found which are suitable but this kong black tyre is brilliant! It doesn’t last forever with him but it lasts a good 3 - 4 months and then we just buy him another one when he starts to get chunks out of it. He absolutely loves it. We throw it for him, he plays tug with it and he chews it for ages with no damage. We also put gravy bones in it for him. Fab product. Highly recommended for power chewers.

We have had this Kong tyre for seven days and I am honestly shocked that it's lasted so long. My husky/malamute cross literally destroys every rubber toy he's had within two days (not an exaggeration).I only bought this as something to hold up until his Bullymake toys arrive but I am pleasantly surprised how well it's holding up. As of writing this he hasn't managed to break even a piece off.I will say though, that I didn't expect a Medium to Large toy to be so small. He has managed to get the bottom part of his mouth stuck through the hole twice but other than that I am impressed.

The Staffie loves the medium/large size of this tyre - it keeps him quiet for hours; he will even forgo food (this is unheard of) and will only go out for a walk if it comes with him. In other words, he is totally obsessed! The design works well for putting kibble in for a treat, and although it's not as good as a ball for a game of fetch, it can be rolled and chased after on even surfaces. It is that irresistible combination (for dogs, anyway) of flexible, chewy, but really tough and long lasting. Unlike most other dog toys.Edit 27/3/19: it's still going strong!

Amazing, my staffy loves kong extreme products, she breaks all other toys and these are the only ones she can use. So far we’ve been mainly using the classic kong extreme and the bone shaped one, but this one is phenomenal, not only it is durable but it is easier for her to hold in her paws when lying down than the bone ( which is heavy), she loves this one, since she got this one she hasn’t been keen on playing with any of her other kongs. I do recommend this product for anyone who has a dog that can easily destroy toys, it is extremely durable.

This toy does not wear or damage ever! I have a springer spaniel and has always been relatively destructive as a puppy if hes bored. I tried teddies and other "tough" chew toys, but they all lasted a matter of hours before bits where coming off or broke. This is perfect for training and is great as a reward toy. Treats can be put inside the wheel and cramming them in can keep your dog quiet for hours. My dog has been chomping on this toy for two months now and you would think I only bought this toy yesterday, still looks brand new.

I'd almost given up on dog toys for our standard dachshund, as they only ever last 10-15mins (even the 'no stuffing, tough' Kong ones. Other rubber toys he still managed to tear to shreds within minutes, and Nylabones only last a couple of weeks. This is the first toy that he has not been able to take a single chunk off. He chews it for hours and hours and it still looks the same as the day it arrived. Also has the added benefit of being able to stuff treats inside for training/ distraction. A great buy, well worth the money.

Great product. Got a German shepherd that loves to chew and destroy. This is the second one we have gone through. First one lasted 3 months. Second one has lasted over a year and still going strong. To stop our dog from destroying it, we smear peanut butter on the inside of the tyre. This means that instead of chewing it all the time she spends most of the time getting the peanut butter out. Keeps her occupied for hours. We also bought the extreme Kong bone and ball. The ball is def going to last for years and years to come

Our dog has had this toy for 4mths now and it's still going strong in spite of being battered on a daily basis by piranha teeth, with no signs of breakage. Our dog enjoys carrying it around, the hole is the perfect size for the lower jaw of a medium sized dog. The sides are big and sturdy enough for treats to be lodged in, so we do this to keep her occupied if we're popping out. It is textured which helps make it an interesting chew toy but we are careful to wash regularly in warm soapy water to keep it clean.

This is indestructible. My 1 year old cocker spaniel seemed to be getting through all his new soft toys in less than 5mins, so I tried this. Its amazing. A few weeks down the line its all still in one piece. Theres a gap in the middle of the tyre to put treats, which most pedigree treats work great as bendy to fit the tyres curve or we've used the pedigree bites (round ones) they fit perfectly & lasts a good half hour before he can get al the treats out.Glad we've found him a toy thats safe & different.
