Other than Kong tiny tennis balls, the only toy my wee Yorkie (5.5 lbs) would play with is Kong’s ‘Squiggles’ (we are on #5, & he’s just about to turn 10 months. So I am so happy my best beloved has finally turned his attention to this Fox because it seem to be designed for problem teething, which we have in spades. The Fox is so sturdy that I can lift my Yorkie off the floor when he’s ‘killing’ Foxy, and that is a good thing! My Yorkie has at least eight puppy teeth that has not come out even though the adult teeth are completely in. And yes, fellow PETA & SPCA members, he is scheduled to have his stubborn puppy teeth removed, & I only lift him one inch off the floor. I adore my Yorkie!

We are on our second ‘Mr Fox’ now with the third on order. These toys are simply excellent. My dog is a power chewer. When she wants to she can bite through any lead in a moment, rips stuffing out of any toy I have bought her and destroys shoes in seconds.But she loves soft toys! The kong Fox is a great compromise, soft, fluffy but with the knotted rope inside for her to sink her teeth into. No stuffing so she doesn’t want to disembowel it.As with other reviews- yes if your dog chews like mental and you leave the toy down 24/7 they will rip the rope out. That’s what dogs do! It doesn’t mean the toy is bad, it means you own a dog!

I bought this in advance of getting my 8 week old Shiba Inu puppy. Alfie took to this straight away and it quickly became his favourite toy among many. He'll play (and sleep!) with this on his own but is happiest when I play tuggy with him. It's a great distraction when I find him chewing on anything he shouldn't; I just squeak the head and he comes running to play. He loves the squeak so always goes for the head part when we play tuggy. The rope inside the length of the body gives him something to chew on and has some elasticity which makes it an ideal tuggy toy. Unlike other toys this never goes missing whether indoors or in the garden as Alfie would never be without it for long.

A great toy for any sized dog.I've always been a fan of Kong products as the quality is great and for some reason, my dog seems to like the fabric used on plush kong toys over other plush toys.This toy has a squeal in the head and a rope coil throughout the body.The head, body and tail have a stretchy connection allowing for good games of tug and making for more enjoyable play for your dog.My little pup is a bit 'chewy' and whilst this has lasted a few days with minimal damage, I imagine he will put holes in it soon enough (so bear that in mind if you doggy is a destroyer and not a carrier)!Overall,

I accidentally bought this Kong fox in April this year for my, then 9 week old, Chorkie Charlie. Although the fox was then a third bigger than Charlie, it was love at first sight. They have been constant companions ever since, "Freddy Fox" has been dragged everywhere, pummelled, chewed and slept with and on for three months now, he has all his legs and ears, there is not a stitch missing (he has been through the washing machine twice and still squeaks).I completely recommend this toy for anyone with a gentle non-destructive dog. I've bought a few of these dog toys, and even sent two to a friend in America. I don't actually have a dog, but many of my friends do.Every toy they have with stuffing in them gets destroyed in pretty short order (small dogs - different varieties of terriers) and don't last long. These are the only ones they've ever had that have both sustained their interest and survived for a prolonged period of time. One I gave to a jack russell who is particularly destructive is still adored and in use after 4 weeks, which is a significant record for him. They are absolutely worth buying, and I'd get one in your basket sharpish!

My 3 year old Staffie LURVES this toy!! He usually destroys everything within 10 mins but this lasted a whole evening before he managed to open it up and rip out the inside coiled rope and squeaker. As promised there wasn't much mess as it has minimal stuffing and he has been happily playing with the fox's shell ever since, throwing it in the air, chasing it around, shaking it, he is thrilled. He's got no interest in the rope interior though. He usually gets bored with toys after a few hours but this has held his interest for about 5 days so fingers crossed ......

The dog was excited by this gift before I’d even managed to remove it from the packaging- it’s been a hit ever since. She has a lion that she fusses and doesn’t really seem interested in other toys so trying to find a suitable gift took some time.I thought there’d be more stretch or give in the central bit but she’s very happy with it, there is a squeak in the head but thankfully she doesn’t set that off too much.She’s played with nothing else for a week and it still looks like new despite constant ‘grooming’.Best reaction I had to a Xmas gift!

My dog has jaws of steel and no toy has ever held up as long as this one has. My pup prefers to find the stitching on toys and work at it and then rip out all of the stuffing and squeakers. This toy has no stuffing and she has not been working at any of the stitching on it, she hasn't really even messed with the squeaker I think she really likes playing with the knots inside. This is by far her favorite toy and Its been one of the most durable toys for not much of an investment! I will purchase again in the future if "foxy" finally meets her demise.

Have gotten 2 of these. My dog is a chewer - no toy has lasted more than 3 months at tops. Usually only a day or so! That being said: The first one of this toy stayed together for 3 months. Once the fox part came apart I took out the rope inside and let him play with that. It has been 9 months and he just finally tore apart the rope. I have given him the second one - he got the outside fox part tore apart within 2 weeks. But he loves the rope inside. Plays and chews on it daily - shows hardly any damage - hoping it will last another 6 months.

About to buy a second one. Got one when my pup was about 4 month old. He is now 8 month and destroys most toys quickly. So foxy lasted quite a while. The squeaker did get punctured fairly quick but it took a long time for my dog to rip the head open to get to the squeaker. It is bright red and large so handy to find. Personally I think they should all be a bright colour so you can see if your dog has one in its mouthThe rope has now come out the fox but is still intact so we play fetch and tuggy with the rope itself. So two toys in one haha

I am updating my review and increeasing my rating from 2 to 4 stars. Although, my dogs each tore a toy apart in a few minutes they have and continue to play with the outer shell and the inner rope toy. (Old review: Lasted less than 5 minues before becoming a rope toy! (Rope toy is inside shell). I gave one of these to each of my huskies. They tore the skin/shell off in a few minutes. My dogs do like to tear at soft toys but this one was very short lived. Other cheaper toys of this type purchase at costco lasted a few days with them.)

Pippa, my Cocker spaniel pup, has been destroying every toy in her path since she arrived 1 year ago but ‘Fox’ is definitely her long-term favourite, outlasting everything except ‘Mallard’ the duck, who had his head torn off recently (don’t worry, he’s still ok). To be fair, Fox also got skinned recently but on the bright side Pippa has a Fox skin and a decent rope (Fox’s skeleton) to play with now. Two for one ain’t bad. One a serious note, this is a very robust dog toy, outlasted everything else, good job Kong - highly recommend.

I have a 4 month old Alaskan malamute 40lbs and she loves this toy. She brings it to he4 crate every night and always takes it out when she leaves the crate. Decided to order a new one for her. Quick delivery as usual. However the sticker they place on the toy that says squeeze me is very hard to remove without cutting it and potentially making a hole in the fox. As we all know once their is a hole the toy is about shot. Had to reorder an additional one as my pup ripped open the hole larger in a matter of minutes.

Our cocker Spaniel absolutely loved this straight away, we bought the medium/large which on reflection was too big for her, she can carry it about but not that easily. She has been chomping on it solidly for 5 days and has yet to destroy any part of it even the ear which frankly is a miracle. The squeek in the head is still in tact, another favourite for primary removal by the dog! We had high expectations of Kong toys from previous purchases and this one didnt disapoint. She loves it, so of course we love it!
