My 8 week old husky loved it as soon as it was given to him. It is quite sturdy and he has not managed to rip it anywhere, but has been successful in puncturing one of the squeaking things. Luckily it has 2 of them and so he still plays/chews on it. He even takes it with him when he is put inside the crate during the night , which he sometimes uses as a pillow :) . Since he has approved of it, I have got him another one which is similar to the hippo, but is a fox instead. I am pleased with the quality and my puppy has definitely approved it too :) .Update : The second squeaky works too and was just a bit wet after a wash. My little boy still plays a lot with it and is quite possessive with his hippo and the foxy which is also another option in this line of toys.

Finally, a soft(ish) toy which lasts more than a few hours for my Cavalier King Charles - who despite her smallness and daintiness can rival any Staffie when it comes to chewing. She loves this type of toy but because she can reduce them to a pile of stuffing in such a short space of time, I've rarely bothered to buy them, opting instead for rope and rubber toys. So for us, this minimally stuffed toy from the wonderful Kong company is a great invention. She's had it for a couple of weeks and, so far, despite spending many hours working on it she's only managed to remove the ears and the very tips of the hands and feet. And we don't have to worry about her swallowing the innards.

Really good toy, but a lot of squeakers that my terrier ripped out (as always) in minutes for the first one, and they're still thin plastic easily eaten so watch for that. The rest took him a few days, which is unknown, so this is a great toy. I'd have given 5 stars except there's a surprising amount of stuffing that I had to grab, the squeakers that I had to grab, and I also had to trim the toy once he'd ripped in for the squeakers. Having said that, all those things got him interested and he's still playing with it now they're gone, and I feel safe leaving it with him because it's pretty much just rope in Teddy shape now. Everything else I have to take away when not watching him.

Bought this back in November. I stupidly didn’t open the package to check and when I came to check in December it was the wrong product. I emailed the company to explain what had happened and after I sent a photo of what I had received they very kindly said I could keep the wrong toy and they would send out the correct one. Great customer service and both toys are pretty good! My dog loves to sit and chew her toys so the fact they have less stuffing and it’s good for her teeth is great. She had the pink rabbit last year but has eventually destroyed that one so we’re now using the fox (for Christmas) and she’s got the bear one to play with at the moment. Would definitely buy again

So this is a very nice looking toy. It looks nicely made too. It's not cheap however at £13 - but that makes sense. Like all toys my dog gets he dissected this to get the squeakers out. I was pleased that there was two squeakers in this. There's still a fair bit of synthetic plasticy stuffing in this toy... so that went all over the floor. He pretty quickly ripped off the head to get the first squeaker out... the next day he went back to it and pulled apart the body. The ropes inside look nicely made. I would like to give 5 stars but it seems disengenuous given it was so easily ripped by my dog. But he loved it and I would probably get it again.

This was bought as a gift for christmas for my mother in laws Cavapoo. He has a tenancy to rip toys apart and eat the stuffing resulting in him becoming unwell. So he dosent often get toys other than balls. My Border Collie loves his toys and he has a few Kong Kont toys he loves them. So I bought this for Bacteria the cavapoo to see how it would go. Well its been a great success he has not been able to destroy it. He loves having a bit of rough play with it and main thing is he has not become unwell swallowing stuffing. He loves this toy and won't settle at night without it in his bed. So we will get more of these

My 2 year old cockapoo loves this. I do wish Kong would stop putting labels on their toys though because my dog is obsessed with removing it. It's very tough. My dog is an aggressive chewer and it took him 2.5 hours to get in it. But then he still plays with it as it's rope inside. It's excellent quality and a very good size. It has 3 squeakers in and he's only managed to get 2 out so far and he's had it nearly a month. It's missing his ears and the labels but still has lots of play left in it. This is a miracle for him after a month! I would buy it again definitely. One of the tougher Kong toys out there...

Having a 5 Month old Springer Spaniel. that has discovered the delight of decimating soft toys!!!..... I decided to try this one. Very happy. It does come across as sturdy. So far so good, it is still in tact, having spent a small fortune on various toys, I have learned which ones to play "Tug of war" with. Plain rope toys, are tug of war toys, a toy like this, I will play, but ease up on the resistance when playing, and make it more of a "Fetch" toy. She has not bothered to even try to rip this one apart, but loves it.

This is a sturdy toy and good value for money , if you have a dog that chews a lot and destroys their toys it's great , it won't last in good condition for long , we got ours for Xmas and they have the squeker and the stuffing out of it but the ropes in this one are great and the dogs will have them for ages , we have terrible problems getting them a toy that lasts a day so this the 6 th Kong toy in the last year and they still have 4 of them although there hanging to bits .

To be fair - very few toys are durable or sturdy enough for labradors so I do feel a bit unfair giving the item only 3 & 4 stars. He loves it though and although less than 15 minutes after giving it to him, he had chewed the ears off and within 24 hours had the body ripped open and taken the stuffing out he is quite happy to just runabout with it and chew at the rope inside. Im positive other less chewy dogs would trwat it with the respect the toy is due!

Almost two months on and still a loved toy. Rather grubby and one ear has gone but it’s surprisingly intact. I do tend to put it away after a play session, but he (almost three year old Labrador) usually manages to destroy toys faster than this or lose interest. The squeaker is good for keeping interest and not driving us mad because it’s not easy to activate. He often just tears up and down shaking it furiously so keeps him occupied for a bit.

We have a 2 year old border collie who is super-destructive of his toys, but this has stood up to him well. It is still intact more than a month after he got it. Previous floppy knots toys have survived well as well, but this one seems to be doing even better. I would recommend this toy for a chewer -- not only is it resistant to destructive chewers, but also if they do rip it open it is still safe for them as long as you remove the squeak.

Honestly my dogs favourite toy. Lasts so long as it is mostly made of rope internally. Two squeakers which is a definite positive for my dog who loves that it squeaks!No negatives, it’s just a really great product that lasts quite a long time. This is the second one we have bought as our dog loves it so much, and we think it’s great value for money as it lasts unlike some of his other toys that are destroyed in seconds!

Absolutely love this! We have been looking at getting one for a while for our puppy and caved for her first birthday. It arrived the next morning, and a week later it is still intact! The ears have some wear and tear but it has lasted significantly longer than her other soft toys, and I feel much happier knowing there isn't any stuffing for her to potentially swallow. Quickly becoming her favourite toy!

Very happy with this, has lasted had this since xmass 2020 and the pup (6month mastiff x sharpie) has had a good go. It has helped with teething but mainly tuggy has taken its toll but its still in one pieces some minor issues with stitchs but that's from pup chewing then playing tuggy. I will order another soon as this one goes beyond saving. Highly recommended.
