The first unit of this has jaws that don't close flat, which makes them unable to hold onto thin material. I will need to return and swap it.It is an awesome tool though. I have a smaller 125mm one that I love. (see photo for size difference)The 300mm size is great, but I think I'd probably go with 250 plus the 125 if you want to carry one on your belt, which I do. 300mm is absolutely huge, which is obviously good for some tasks.

I have over £6000 worth of Snap-On , Draper, Champion and other makes of gear I've accumulated since 1972 but a guy I work with let me borrow his Knipex and I instantly fell in love with them and went straight on the net to buy a pair for myself and very well worth it

This is one of those reach for tools that you wonder how you did without. Parallel jaw action means you can grip without marking. Particularly useful with plated and polished fixings.

Great tool, use it every day. Great on pump valves, chrome unions, faster to use than an adjustable spanner. Great quality.
