These cutters are excellent, very sharp, comfortable and capable to cut cables much larger than they are rated for. The only problem I found is that I have quite small hands and it is awkward to manipulate them at first until they get loose.Update.Just with reference to what I said about my small hands. If I have to cut a larger cable, I have to give a good hard squeeze on the handles. If you aren't careful you can pinch your fingers in the metal stop on the handles, near the hinge. I've had several painful blood blisters as a result of doing this. They are really good, sharp and easy to manipulate in day to day use,

I use these as my day to day snips. Great at cutting through large cable, Can also use the rounded 'blade' to easily strip any sized cable (they are so sharp you need to get used to not cut straight through the conductor). They wear fairly quickly when used all the time (i go through around 1 pair every 2 months (more if i chop something live :/ )). I always carry a few pairs with me, will not use anything else, never felt the electrons through em, so who cares for the 1000v rubbish! When going for the 8inch ones they feel big compared to 'normal' sized ones, but once used to them they do feel nice in the hand

I wasn't sure whether to buy this cutter as it seemed a little pricey. However, I did and I was surprised by how good it is.It took a while to get used to the sharpness. I accidentally chopped the end off several pieces of wire when all I wanted to do was strip the insulation. Once you get used to it though, it is very effective.It will make light work of just about any mains cable you are likely to find in the house. I have only had it for a couple of months and don't use it very often but it is still working just as well as on delivery day. I knocked off one star for the price.

Typical of most ck tools, very good quality and robust. Cuts cores and insulation cleanly without deforming stranded cores. Very sharp and will stay so provided hard metals arent cut using them. Items such as armouring or small screws will damage the blade. Providing proper use, these will last many years. At less than £17 pounds delivered they really are great value for money.I was not offered these free or at a discounted rate in return for a review. These opinions are my own.

Great set of cutters, really happy with these. They are super sharp, and cut through 3-core flex (1.5mm 3183Y) like its butter. I'm sure it could handle much more.Great for scoring round and removing insulation, not sure how i put up with using side cutters or a blade so long.I agree with some of the other comments though - you have to open the handles quite wide to get the jaws wide enough to get the cable in. But not enough of a concern for me to knock off any stars.

Like most CK tools this is a high quality tool. Used for cutting and stripping electrical wires up to around 50mm2 it cuts effortlessly and cleanly and is a real pleasure to use.For some reason I often see people asking of these tools whether they will cut brake cables and I have even seen someone try to cut an M4 screw with some, despite my warnings (cringe) which of course destroyed the blades. This is for cutting electrical cables and does an excellent job of this.

Just a quick one. I bought the 240mm version of these cutters and they coped perfectly with 70mm2 copper multi-strand PVC coated battery cable.They cut it effortlessly and can also be used to strip the sheathing without damaging a single strand of the copper, if you're careful of course.They might go up to 95mm2, but the overall diameter of the cable including the sheathing would probably be just a bit too big for the opening of the jaws.Highly recommended.

Started doing more and more wiring installs over the last year or so which lead me to purchasing these.I've had a CK Tools socket set for the last 20 years which only 1x 30mm socket has ever broken (but its no surprise it did) and has never let me down.These cutters are razor sharp and cut through cable like it wasn't even there. I bought the 160's as the size is more suited for being a field service technician. If treated right these should last years!

High quality cutters and strippers. The 6" ones I bought are ideal for one handed use. Well worth the bit extra to get good tools. I have bought cheap in the past and had to replace them a few months later. My last pair of snips are at least 20+ years old and are nearly blunt now. Mind you I have used them for cutting screws and nails to length so I hope these will last as long. Will update this review in 2037.

I buy a new set of these each year as i use them every single day at work, they are well ergonomically designed and they don't put strain on your hands.They are razor sharp to use and maintain that perfect sharpness providing you only cut copper with them, whereas all cheaper brands are worn out or blunt in under 6 months.Highly recommended if your working with any sort of copper cable from 0.5 to 35mm.

These are an excellent pair of cable cutter that are comfortable for prolonged use, they sit nicely in the hand with a hardwearing and durable grip. The cutting ability is excellent easily cutting through thick wire, and the groves on the blades enable wire stripping to be done easily and effortlessly.All in all an excellent pair of cutters/stripper I would highly recommend.

Honestly don't like CK tools, overpriced and poorly made in comparison with brands like wera, wiha or bacho but when faced with a world where everything is in 4 or 6mm FP or has more than 3 cores then you need bigger cutters and sadly these are probably the best out there.They would get 5 stars if they were made by another brand but still cant get over my loathing of CK.

I love these cutters. Never used a set until recently and decided to purchase my own set. Very sharp and cut RG59, coax and Twin & Earth cable with ease. They fit in my hand perfect (not too big or small) and have rubber insulated handles for that extra comfort. Well worth their money in weight and wish I'd purchase a set a lot sooner.

Recently bought these to use at college when it came to cutting cable such as 6mm earth with is a pain to cut with standard snips. Had a bit of 6mm earth lying around, had a go cutting it with these, had no problem at all went through like a knife through butter. A defendant recommended if you want to make life a little simpler

True snippy snippy loviness.Super sharp and comfortable to hold.If you need larger electrical cable/flex cutters these are perfect.One year on these are still as sharp as new. There is nothing better for snipping through 25mm tails.A great tool.Thoroughly recommended.I hope you found this review helpful.
