I've had a lot of wire strippers in the past, but keeping it simple in this case is a good thing. These just work and are of good quality.Set it to the size of cable insulation you are working with, lock it off and away you go! I use these for electronics work, but being VDE certified means they have good insulation and therefore have nice and chunky handles which helps when stripping off cable insulation and gives them a good comfortable feel.These are sprung loaded, but the spring can be easily removed if you prefer, which I did, so they stay closed and take up less space in your tool box. You can easily keep your index finger in between the handles for opening and closing like you would on any non sprung tool.Never had a problem with any C.K.

Excellent wire strippers. Nice and sharp, and comfortable to use. Well made from good quality materials, so I can see them lasting a long time. My only minor gripe is that they could do with some sort of catch to keep them closed in your toolbox. As they are stored in the open position they do take up quite a lot of space. I put a rubber band round the end of the handles to keep them closed. Seems to do the trick :-)

My grandfather gave me some CK strippers like this (much earlier version) when I was first getting into electronics, that was a long time ago and they are still great but I thought I could do with another pair to leave at work. Great tool, you won't be sorry if you buy a pair!
