It may be a little sweet for some and no where near the quality of a bourbon such as Bulleit, but this is a great tasting everyday bourbon to mix in cocktails or just with coke. There's no horrible chemical aftertaste you get with JD. Try Red Stag in an old fashioned - you won't regret it, the cherry finish is gorgeous. Just put a drop or two of bitters in a glass with a shot or two of Red Stag (no need to dissolve in sugar), finish with a chuck of clear ice and stir far a couple of minutes, it's great :D

It's freaking beautiful, a perfect balance of cherry, and nuts! Really strong nutty tones, like a trail mix. Yes it is sweet but not overly sweet like everyone is suggesting. Beautiful with a bit of hot water. Way better than Jack Daniel's.

Fantastic whiskey, very prominent taste, very easy to drink (I find straight is best, but still tastes good with cola, ice etc). Made a fantastic present for my dad for his birthday, but couldn't help having some for myself!

DRINK OVER LOTS OF ICE, it will kill the sickening sweetness and turns into a very pleasurable drink. Its a firm favourite of mine and will continue to be

Great drink. clearly not suited to be consumed on it's own, lovely with a mixer over a drop of ice.

It is sweet, but over ice, or with coke it is really nice. My drink of choice for last 2 years.

Started drinking on a visit to florida. Found the tasteto be excellent. Would really recomend.
