My first admission is that I did not buy this product through Amazon ( I should have, as the price was cheaper than what I paid in the Duty Free shop in Schipoll, Amsterdam airport). I have for years been a Jack Daniels (JD) pilgrim - always searching for that one JD Whiskey product that will give me enlightenment. I have again over the years bought different JD stock and have a nice JD whiskey collection and recently added the Frank Sinatra Select and White Rabbit to my personal display, I can also proclaim that I am registered as a "Friend of Jack". I have for a few years been a dedicated Gentleman Jack (GJ) "admirer" and prefer GJ to the established and world wide recognised JD No 7.I have sampled the innovative JD No 1, 2 and 3, the Silver Select plus the lesser know Honey and Tennessee Fire brands (at this point I should add that I don't do this often enough to be classed as "irresponsible" with my JD drinking). I have only recently tried the Non Vintage Single Barrel product. Being a devoted follower of GJ, I kept my testing procedure simple. I used two separate JD embossed glasses, one filled with a sample of GJ and the second JD glass with this Non Vintage Single barrel, I then added the exact same amount of coke and ice and then carried out the "Taste Test". My conclusion was that drinking it neat, you can certainly taste the additional 10 per cent volume in the Single Barrel (well I could) but it is just as palatable as GJ. Without trying to stir a social media riot where my review is ridiculed by more experienced JD tasters, the price, strength and availability in drinking establishments made a difference to me, I still prefer GJ but would happily enjoy a tipple of the Non Vintage Single barrel. For all you other JD pilgrims out there - seek and you shall be rewarded - just let us all know by your reviews.

As a long time fan of Jack Daniel's, there was no question about what I would buy for my Dad for Christmas. Originally I was going to get the Silver Select bottle but as the cheapest rocketed by £15 in the run up to the holiday season I decided to go for something a little less painful on the wallet.Presented in a gorgeously designed new bottle with a cork stopper and beautifully done label, this is Jack at it's best. Each bottle comes from a barrel that is unique. It could be the way it's stored, where the barrel is kept, how long it matures, or even the ingredients, so no two barrels are alike. Around the stopper is the details of which barrel your bottle came from along with the date it was bottled.Inside, the golden-brown liquid is slightly lighter in shade than a standard bottle of Jack, and although it's not open yet, I am looking forward to smelling or maybe even tasting it on the big day.It may be a lot more expensive than a normal bottle of Jack Daniel's, but if it is a gift for someone special in your family and they appreciate good whisky, it is certainly worth the extra cash. I will update the review if I get a chance to taste it.

Jack Daniels is my bourbon brand of choice, I've tried and liked several others but JD always gets me back. After seeing a 'how is it made' documentary on JD, they mentioned a bottle they referred to as the 'angels reserve or tipple'. Jack Daniels Single select bottles are produced, unlike normal JD no7, from barrels stored at the highest point of the distilleries ageing room where the higher temperatures cause the barrel to evaporate some of the contents (hence tipple taken by the angel's), the remainder of the barrel is then used for bottling. Due to this process the Jack Daniels which is produced is richer in flavour, has more strength at 45% and is less sweeter than it's younger brother,no7.Has wonderful hints of charred oak, demerara and pepper.

Let me start off by saying that i love Jack Daniels. The bourbon old No.7 is an amazing Whiskey, however the single barrel select is a much more premium Whiskey, and its worth every penny. Single barrel select is an incredibly smooth Whiskey for sipping, if you prefer to mix the Whiskey you drink, this is not for you, and i would advise you to use Old no.7. Its worth noting that the single barrel select has 5% more alcohol content compared with Old no.7, however this only adds to its distinctive taste. This whiskey comes very well packaged by Amazon, however note that it does not have a Jack Daniels box. i whole heartedly endorse this Whiskey.

This Whiskey is amazing in fact it’s my favourite so far I always add a few drops of water to bring out the the flavour but the reason why I have taken off one star is because of the stupid driver who wouldn’t let me have the parcel unless I showed him my photo ID which I didn’t have on me at the time, (he wouldn’t except anything else and said (I don’t want to lose my job). It was very embarrassing as I am 62 years old. He wouldn’t except anything else, luckily my wife came home at the same time but I think the drivers especially the foreign ones need to be trained to use their common sense!

I know with Single Barrel whiskey the quality can differ as different barrels may slightly differ. But what can I say this drink was lovely. It was smoother than standard Jack, little more oaky and not quite as sweet. Though I could taste the banana like maple sweetness that Jack is known for with little spice also. More smooth maybe few more favours bought out and a nice long finish and aftertaste. Heard people say this not much better than number 7; I don’t agree it’s vastly polished big improvement of the original. Yes it’s more pricey but seriously treat yourself.

Gorgeous bottle, as expected it isn’t top notch whisky but I bought it more for the beautiful bottling. It tastes like normal jack but a bit more of a refined and “clean” taste. Of course it looks great on display. The trouble is, it didn’t even come with the box! When I opened the amazon packaging it was literally just the bottle and some rolled up paper, it could have easily broke. Was lucky to get this for £25 but the packaging was awful. Won’t buy from this seller again, just for the way it’s been packaged.

I don't drink a whisky at all. So I have no idea about the taste. After read a few review, it sounded good to be my husband x'mas present as he's a JD's lover. However, I was trying it a yesterday and he's really love it. He describes as it's very smooth so doesn't need a mixer. You must to see his happy face when he sips it then you can tell how much he loves it!Only one thing as a shame it didn't come with a JD box but they wrapped it very secure with a good quality bubble.

Product was brought for a friends 50th birthday celebration during the CV-19 pandemic to help with the isolation. I have never heard her cry with such happiness, joy regarding an alcoholic beverage, the flavours, intensity she was telling me were moreish, deep and be a waste to add anything more than 1 rock.Product purchased has since increased in price quite heavily; thrilled I had got it in the sale, great delivery and handling, will definitely order again.

If you enjoy a nice glass of Whiskey in the evening, Gentleman Jack is an excellent choice. But if you are a true connoisseur and want to serve an absolutely fantastic Whiskey to your close friends, go for the single select. Be careful though, once you enjoyed this wonderfully smooth, aromatic and flavourful beverage, it's hard to go back to inferior quality. Therefore I always have a few bottles in stock, just be prepated for surprise visitors.

My boyfriend is a big lover of jack Daniels so I got this for his birthday, he's not opened it yet but sure it will be lovely and not just tea stained water haha, delivery was quick, bottle came well packaged with no damage, amazing price too, only thing that confused me was the invoice being written in German- google translate helped me out with that! No problems or disputes very happy :)

Don’t know what sheerness means and haven’t tasted this yet as it’s for Christmas but is great value for money compared to the RRP and I’m sure it will taste superb. The only thing letting it down was it didn’t come with the presentation box which is pictured. Very disappointed by this and just wanted to make other people aware in case they are expecting a box.

I always have this jack single barrel in my mini bar. I tried so much different whisky brands price range from £20-£50. And this is one of the best I ever tried. Also highly suggest single barrel 100 proofs edition. Also can't understand people who compare single barrel with nr. 7 Jack Daniels. Absolutely two different experience of taste.

The Single Barrel is really quite something, and if you can get this for £25, you've got a very good deal indeed. Usually I'd reach for a heavily-peated scotch, and I find your standard Jack Daniels a bit too plain, but this is something I've enjoyed quite a lot. Perfect for drinking neat or for a mixer with something like Coke!

If you like the "Standard" JD No7 you will love this stuff, it's smooth and very drinkable, I prefer it with Coke but also mixes well with Ginger. I do not mix with water or drink it straight so can't comment.Very pleased with purchase, now if only they could reduce the price to match Supermarket JD No7 that would be perfect.
