Great value when the price drops to around £20.I think it tastes nicer than the more expensive 4y old JD rye whiskey that is slightly stronger, in a fancier bottle and about twice the price.I bought a bottle of Woodford rye whiskey recently for £37, and I prefer this JD rye to it as well.I would say it is broadly similar in tast to Bulleit rye whiskey and comparable to a few less well known brands I have drunk.Also nicer than the more expensive Knob Creek rye whiskey that I bought once, as that tastes like chewing on some rotton old tree bark.I like bourbon type whiskey, but this is a nice change. If you like normal JD this is worth a try.

The product is amazing but arrived a day late as the driver did not leave with my obviously over the age of 21 neighbours who hadn't got photo ID. It took me over 10 minutes to find a passport as this is the only form of photo ID I have other people have none at all.I do not condone leaving alcohol in the custody of minors but surely there is a better way unless the government is going to ensure everyone in Britain has a valid photo ID.

I'm a bourbon drinker and like a rye as well but they always seem to be overpriced . When a deal came up for the Rye JD I took the plunge and I'm so glad I did as it is delicious . Smooth taste and not too sweet, none of that JD whiskey aftertaste with the Rye either . Very glad I tried it .

For a reasonable price, this is one of my favourite whiskeys. I love the spiciness of the rye. Maybe this isn’t going to be your sippin’ whiskey, but it’s great for mixing with coke, or ginger beer, or in cocktails.Mixing with coke brings out the vanilla, and it goes down easy.

JD Tennessee Rye is a Christmas and New Year treat. It's great with a splash of ginger ale by the log burner on the colder evenings.Added bonus was that this year it's hard to find in the shops and finding it on Amazon at £20 a bottle - win win!!

At £20 (finally) I had to give it a try - glad I did. It is different from old No7 but I can’t quite put my finger on why - it’s there, it lingers, it’s lovely - but I’m not sure what ‘it’ is. Definitely recommend if your a whisky drinker

Bought on offer to try as I like JD, and most bourbon. While it now all gone, I'm must say I probably won't buy again unless it's a good offer. Nice but rather get Bullet bourbon for around same price.

Lovely, smooth & my favourite Jack Daniels drink. No real need to say anymore, but the £8 increase a bottleNow Christmas is over is well out of order..Won’t buy from here for a while.

I adore JD, best drink out there. First time trying this one, and it is how you would expect. Dry with a hard hit. Tastes a little stale compared to the Orgional but it's still a JD.

1st bought when on offer and was happy with it so got myself some more when next on offer.Not as smooth as Woodford reserve but then, it's a rye so I didn't expect it to be.

Great jd great taste neat or with ginger ale firm favourite a must for jd lovers, mind I’ve not found a bad one yet and have had a few different ones none have disappointed
