Side opening box, with nice box artwork, but packaging a little sparse, with only the canopy in a sealed bag (nice in itself) resulting in 2 pieces detached from sprue and loose in the box (both alternative stabilisers, which potentially could have slipped through side flap).Decent kit, almost no flash watsoever, with some nice details: recessed lines, raised rivets (seem to scale), basic raised cockpit detail inside fuselage, decals for forward instrument panels. Some alternative stabilisers (possibly for mc.202?). No noticeable defects or sunken areas. Canopy in 2 peices with nice clean lines, and overall not too thick, however some inconsistency in thickness/flatness means some panels are not as crystal as others.Maybe I'm being unfair, as this is still a good canopy and I've seen an awful lot worse from some big manufacturers. My main gripe with this kit is no pilot, which although fairly common practice with some Asian/Eastern manufacturers. If you plan to build open-canopy/wheels-down then this may not be an issue for you, but if like me it's wheels up, then this probably means sourcing a wee guy.3 decal sets and colour schemes for 1944:-Gruppo Caccia (Ialian Co-Republican) blotched fuselage camo, linear wing camo.-Gruppo Caccia (Ialian Co-Republican) smoke-ring fuselage & wing camo-Squadriglia (Italian Co-Beligerant) smoke-ring fuselage & wing camo, minus the swastikas which can be seen to be photoshopped out of the image on the back of the box.Instructions black and white, but 3 variants shown in colour on box. Paints quoted as Federal Standard, Italeri Acrylipaint, and Model Master, where possible.This is an in-box review only, so I cannot comment on how well this kit goes together, but I must say I am looking forward to it. All in all, for the price (~£8) this is a very decent little kit, not too common, and a nice little aircraft.
