After measuring my foot with 3D software (Snapfeet), I ordered a half size above what my measurements were to accommodate socks. I did the same with another brand shoe and it worked out perfectly. Unfortunately, I had to return these shoes and order an extra half size up. The shoes fit well. At first, they hurt my heel, but I both stretched them a bit with my shoe trees and I don't tighten the mid-foot laces as much.Edit:Having not worn these shoes during training on pavement, I ended up getting blisters on race day; likely because I hadn't worked them in. My advice would be to wear duct tape on the backs of your heels. The shoes worked very well in the mud, though -- no slips!

I use these shoes for spartan races and just took them to the World Championships in Lake Tahoe. I love these shoes. They are nice and light. They grip rocks and obstacles very well. They have the right amount of cushioning. Unlike other runners, these did not tear after one race and appear to be built to last. I was concerned they may retain water but this was not an issue. Overall, I am very satisfied and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

The tread on these shoes is amazing - almost perfect grip, even in the deepest mud. Not so great on wet tarmac, but that's not really what they're designed for. Also really needs an extra lace hole, to make the best of the 'heel-lock' lacing technique - otherwise the back of the shoe can end up getting pulled off in the mud, because the structure is quite soft and flexible around the back of the heel.

Great purchase! Definitely true to size and fits like a glove. I’ve gotten many compliments & have worn them once, so far, during OCR training and the grip at the bottom helps tremendously. I purchased the quick tie laces separately (also a great purchase & perfect match), and will be wearing these for an upcoming Spartan race. Fingers grossed all goes well! ??

The shoes arrived as expected, they fit fantastically and I have taken them out a few times and they stick to muddy slopes brilliantly, easy to clean and water drainage seems to be good so far. I'm looking forward to putting them through their paces at some obstacle races soon so will hopefully prove their salt.

I had been wanting try this line since I am a big extreme trail runner. The shoe is absolutely perfect for my style of activity, perfect fit, excellent land grip, light weight and stylish. Definitely recommend to any off road runner.

They were very tight on my feet and hurt my right heel a bit when I walk. Returned them and bought a half size up. I'll revise this review after competition day where I will have taken them through the mud.

This is my 2nd pair. Love the mudclaws, they fit perfectly and are nice and grippy for fast and steep fell races. They do slip easily on wet greasy rock but this is well known
