Even though Hoover is an American company founded 110 years ago, it is a brand name synonymous with vacuum cleaners in the UK.Here we have a small in stature cylinder vacuum cleaner from Hoover. Everything was packed neatly in the box, which is fully branded on the outside of the box with lots of letter "A" on it for the ratings and info on the quiality of cleaning. The box also has to cut out handles each end. It's not a heavy box in the slightest, just a bit bulky. Also in the box is a stapled A4 booklet with pictograms showing how to assemble and use the Hoover. Any text is in English only. There's also a paper guarantee to fill out with contact telephone number for a service line (and 26 other countries),however they suggest you register online instead. In use it is remarkably quiet, though if it's still too loud, the Hoover Vision Reach models are quieter still. It's reasonably good at cleaning tiled floors, though carpets not as much. I had some dried peas on a carpet (don't ask) and the carpet and floor head had a hard time with them. Using the telescopic tube only and they were gone instantly. The pet hair head was more useful, though something small and solid got stuck in it and it made a very loud noise. Nice thing with the pet hair head is that the cover pops open and you can clear (or Hoover) anything caught up in it. There's an extra dusting brush clipped into the lower back of the Hoover, that's good for car seats and the like. The extending cable is a bit on the short side though. The dust container is small and filled up pretty quickly. To empty is quite simple and the three filters are all washable / rinsable so they should last a while before needing replacement (hopefully replacements are available to buy). It's light to carry and move about, it's quiet in use and it's cheap. There is a non-pet version as well, but it's the same price as this one and you get the extra power head. Even if you don't think you''ll use it, buy this one.

A nice looking cleaner (better in the flesh so to speak than the photos) and the suction is excellent considering it's a 700W machine....too good in fact....you will almost certainly need to open the suction regulator on carpets to be able to vacuum them easily...or use tools from previous cleaners if you have kept them and they work better. It's not as noisy as my previous Hoover cylinder this has replaced (a 2200W with inferior suction) but it's not as quiet as the sales blurb will have you believe...but it's fine. The hose length like most cleaners on the market is way too short...why manufacturers do this I don't know, it surely cannot add hardly any cost to provide a hose twice the length.I long ago bought an extension hose which has served me well and will do on this machine as well. I have taken one star off (nearly took off two due to aforementioned comments) because the main design flaw with this cleaner is that to empty the dust container you have to remove the pre-motor filter assembly first...which is really poor design from a company that has been making these things for so long....and really annoying. Another thing is that I sometimes get a static shock when I touch the machine to turn it off after vacuuming...not sure why as it seems to be mostly all plastic...maybe it's just me. Would I recommend it? With an extension hose and the dust bag thing apart, I'm really happy with it for the money I paid but there maybe better options out there (like a Vax which was my second choice).

I bought it from PC World as I needed at the same day, so, I paid £20 extra. It is 700w, but suction is impressive. On carpet almost you can’t push it as suction is that great. I placed my mini bluetooth speaker on tablet edge and lifted both(~300 g.) with suction of standart hoover head. The metal tube extends to 75 from 46 cm. Hose length 150 cm up to curved dandle(35cm length). People complaining about hose length, well, I think design of hose connectin at the butom of hoover. Also, if you on purpose lift hose, the hoover goes on it’s back and this is not good as at the back is ventilation and you could burn the motor. it comes with main head and only one more little “toothbrush” which can be transformed to narrow one for small gaps, but to vacuum in between car seat it would be to short as narrow bit is just ~6 cm. Overall I think it’s great product for the price, I bought for my car and 1b flat. I gonna use narrow end from my previous cleaner for my car. Even the design is ok for the price, even has kind off carbon fibre elements on it. Hope this helps!

This vacuum cleaner is a convenient size and weight, with a handle on the top which makes it easier to pick up and move around while working. It feels like it is made of sturdy materials, and runs at a tolerable volume with powerful dust pickup.Instructions for assembling and operating the vacuum cleaner are pretty clear, however putting the dust container back together after emptying it is a little tricky, and will take a few tries to memorize. The pet hair attachment is effective, though quite noisy with a high pitched whine. The normal brush head attachment can be a bit aggressive on certain pile lengths of carpet. The power cable is not long enough to cover an average length of stairs, meaning you would have to do the first half from the top and then plug into a socket on the lower floor and resume cleaning. It can be difficult to tell how full the dust container is, as it is slanted when fitted to the vacuum cleaner. The cleaning pipe can come loose during vacuuming.Overall a very good cleaner for its price, if you can work with the slight flaws.

We’ve been pretty impressed with this Hoover. We already have an upright and a cordless from Hoover so this is another one to add to our Hoover family! First thing we noted was the capacity bin of 2 litres which seems to be pretty generous - significantly larger in capacity than our cordless. It’s fairly light at around 4kg (I think that’s almost about the weight of our upright!) and the cord of 7.5m is a bit longer than our upright cleaner. For a small cleaner it packs a decent punch and makes a really job of our carpets (most of our home is short carpeted). It’s certainly light years ahead of our cordless for power and lift. The cordless is fine for those odd cleans during the week but we use this one for a deeper weekly clean. For the money I think this is a pretty good Hoover. There are a few minor niggles like the hose could be a bit longer but nothing serious. It does a great job with suction which is important for us and it’s light enough that most people should be comfortable using it.

Neat little Hoover with a 2L bin. Convenient and easy to store. Excellent suction and great on hard floors or carpet. Motorised pet turbo tool is great for sofas and dog hair.Took me a moment to figure how to empty the bin. Lifts out easily and then you unscrew the lid. Lift out the filters and then you can access the bin to empty it. Not as quick as a flip open bin but encourages / reminds me to wash the filters. Crevice tool fits into the machine and there's a slit on the back to hook the floor tool onto also... very useful. All up, a great little Hoover for a reasonable price. Only downside for me is the reach allowed by the 5m cord... I have to unplug it too often for my liking. In fairness though,if you have a pet, the suction and filters make this ideal. Also compact for storage.

The unimaginately named BR71 BR02 cleaner weighs in at 4.5kg. The black/blue finish isn’t garish. The unit comes supplied with mini turbo brush, 2 in 1 brush/crevice tool and the telescopic metal tube.In use, the vacuum is surprisingly quiet. It didn’t scare the cats off (which makes for a welcome change). The suction is strong. It was lifting the carpet during the cleaning leaving a clean surface. The retractable power cord is always handy along with its weight and size meaning that it is a portable unit to move around the house. On the negative side, the power cord isn’t long and the smaller capacity of the cleaner means you’ll have to regularly empty it between cleaning sessions. However, the positives of low noise and strong performance of this little unit outweigh the negatives.

This is a good value hoover that has pleasantly surprised me.Very compact its quick and easy to assemble. Despite being compact it sports some large numbers. The bin hold almost 2 litres which is a lot and is a doddle to empty. Theres a generous power cord and hose with metal tubing. The low wattage put me off a bit initially but there is a good deal of suction so I'd be interested in the 'air wattage' in this. This one is the pet edition with a turbo brush head that is motorised and I found it very effective for really scrubbing into areas. Its easy to pull about thanks to the large wheels and has a large handle for ease of carrying. Its light too so easy to carry and hoover the stairs depending how tall your stairs are.Overall superb value and very effective.

'Hoover' has become the generic term applied-in the UK at least- to all vacuum cleaners. 'Just give the living room a quick hoover will you'. This Hoover Breeze Bagless vacuum cleaner will appeal to pet owners like myself, one dog, two cats who always seem to be moulting! At under seventy pounds its very good value although it is quite small and with a 700 watt motor. I know the EU regs insist on small motors on vacuum cleaners so I don't know if we'll be able to use larger capacity vacuums when we've left the EU? But for a 700 watt motor, it sucks up quite well and the pet hair turbo brush is surprisingly effective. Those who live in large properties might find it a bit too small for their needs but for those living in average to small homes,it will be fine.

The only bagless I've tried before was so noisy that I gave up quickly. This one is smaller so needs emptying more but is much much quieter,As it is relatively small it is both quite light to carry around, and needs emptying more frequently. However its not that frequent, it can do a room of our messy house at a time, and emptying is relatively easy.I also like the pat hair attachment, which works similarly to the specialist attachment I bought for our Henry vacuum, bu pulling extra air through it creates more suction. It seems to do a pretty good job, and we have two white haired cats whose hair gets everywhere.Overall it is a great second Vac or even a first vac. It seems to cope with hair and pet hair. And crucially doesn't deafen you. A pleasure to use.

Having previously bought vacuums from other brands, such as Dyson, for almost six times the price, I’d now struggle to justify the additional cost. Don’t get me wrong, the Hoover Breeze does have its drawbacks: the dust collection compartment is a little clunky, and the suction isn’t industrial level. However, if your home doesn’t require a great deal of cleanup, it’ll be just fine. I use mine on wooden flooring and it’s picks up all the dirt fairly effortlessly. The power cord is surprisingly long (it easily stretches across the room) and the attachments are useful for cleaning around the harder to reach spaces. If you’re looking for a low cost vacuum to cater for a low maintenance home, the Hoover Breeze is certainly a good solution.

Initially purchased one to clean the inside of my car.The positives are that it is lightweight, has good suction. The cons are that the cylinder capacity is rather small, but if you only use it to cleanthe inside of your car then it is quite sufficient.Secondly the cable length is so short, you will need an extension cable when using it.Supplied crevice tool is the bog standard very short and stubby type, whichis totally useless when trying to access down the side of your cars handbrake etc. After purchasing an alternative crevice tool, this vacuum is just what I wanted, so muchso I purchased one for my daughter.Absolute downside, not for use in the home, cyclinder capacity is no good for home use.

For the price, I feel like this Hoover offers everything that you can expect - it does the job of picking up dirt and detritus from your floor and carpet, it can be pretty powerful and lightweight and doesn't take up too much space. However, it's definitely a budget option from a company that offers much more reliable features in their more expensive cleaners. The power can be unwieldy and difficult to maneuver, the cable doesn't extend as long as I'd like it to, and this model is a real pain to empty, comparatively. The main thing is that it gets the job done, but if you can afford a little extra then you'll probably appreciate the convenience that the extra money buys.

Great little vacuum cleaner this from Hoover. Its lovely and compact, very light but also very powerful for its size. Its very maneuverable comes with a decent range of attachments including the rotary brush which is perfect for dealing with our dogs' and cats' daily shedding of hair. Its also a doddle to empty whatever has been vacuumed up into the bit OK its not up there with the big boys in terms of absolute power and capacity. But we use it as a second machine for pretty much daily vacuuming and save our more powerful machine for the heavier once a week deep vacuum. For the money (circa £70) its hard to fault it.
