My last camera was a D200 and I bought the Nikon MB-D200 and was very pleased with it. With the recession biting and having splashed out on a D7000 I decided to risk buying a Hahnel instead of Nikon. Build standard looks and feels as good as my MB-D200. The single star deducted was because there is only 1 sensor for the IR Remote at the front of the camera, great for self portrait and including yourself in group shots but a rear sensor would enable the remote to be used to avoid camera shake when tripod mounted and using mirror up. If the sensor is not an issue for you, this is a 5 star piece of kit.P.S. Before ordering the extra battery for this have a look at Hahnel HGB-EL 15a High Capacity EN-EL15 Battery for Nikon MB-D11 Battery Grip and Hahnel HN D7000,

Did look around after playing with the Nikon version on a D7000 which felt great.This fells just the same very nice in the hand, still balances well with nikon batt.have some recharge AA's on the way as well.will give it a good day out this weekend & hope to test the remote on the D7000 A with grip, would be nice if you can use this & the small nikon remote on the D7000 B at the same time.we shall see.PS: just fits in the Cam bag as well.

Item arrived very fast. Packaging was good. Product was advertised. The overall feel/quality of the grip was good and fitting it was easy. Everything seems to be working. My only minor issue is that the on/off rotating switch is very stiff to operate. Not a major issue because it will always be on for me but this is a negative. Hence 9 out of 10.

for the money this is good buy it works fine i photograph motor bike racing and live bands so am very pleased with it

this arrived quickly, I think its better than Nikons own and does the job just as well at half the price.

When I decided to purchase D7000 I knew that I need a battery grip this item is great value Excellent
