I purchased the Gtech SW22 for my elderly mother for its lightness and ease of use, but as a carer I have been the one that has ended up using it on my weekly visits!After eleven months of using the carpet sweeper what I most like is its lightness, manoeuvrability and ease of use or function. I find it a pleasure to use and it is very effective at picking up pieces and fluff from wool/man-made fibre carpets and vinyl floors. I am always surprised at the amount of fluff it picks up after a sweep; particularly keeping in mind that it is not a vacuum cleaner. The charging station is effortless to use and the only thing you have to bend down for is to empty the dust container,

This is my second unit originally bought the sw02 basic model. The problem with the sw02 is the charge times.many reviews state it only runs for ten mins which is a bit unfair as new rechargeable batteries take time to hold their charge and this gets more as time goes by. A cutout on the charge when finished would make this model 10/10.However my girlfriend asked to borrow that model and I really saw she liked it so I gave it to her and she uses it frequently, although she worries about overcharging it. The sw22 is a logical extension of the 02 and maybe will replace it as it has a charge stand that cuts out when charged and its lithium batteries mean the brushes whizz faster than the 02.

Purchased directly from Gtech as cheaper and delivers to France.Dreadful is a good word for it. It picks up dog hair but nothing else. Don't waste your money. After 6 weeks and two emails to gtech (and no answers) I am going out to get another convention cordless.In a nutshell - Picks up absolutely nothing on the forward and little more on the return, pivot on bottom of handle where it joins the head sticks constantly.Update - Received a phone call from Gtech asking me all about the problems I have had, very friendly and sympathetic. As I live in France it would cost a lot to return so the representative ordered an immediate replacement. I have been using this for 3 weeks and it is excellent.

I LOVE this little beauty. As a lifelong vacuum phobic this is such a pleasure to use. With two big dogs bringing in mess from outside, it's a moment's trouble to sweep it up and it works great on carpet. In fact, I'd go as far as to say, it's actually rather enjoyable, as far as it goes, to open the little drawer to empty it and marvel at the amount of dust, grit, dog hair etc gets deposited and it manages to sweep up on a daily basis.I still have a vacuum cleaner for going round the edges mainly and things you need a good strong vacuum for rather than just the sweeper which doesn't have vacuum suction, just a rapidly turning brush, but 90% of the time this is quite adequate for me.

This is my third one my two previous were The older models which did have a slight issue with the handles braking the newer version SW22 has a better handle so feels stronger.I can’t rate this brilliant little sweeper enough we have two cats and I use it daily you should see the amount of hair it gets up, great for a quick sweep around on both hard floors rugs/carpets.I use it more than my main vacuum cleaner it’s very light, I have a bad back so really easy to lift/use, a four hour charge gives two full hours of use I’ve had my latest one about a month and only just charged it up which is amazing! ?I’ve taken out the 3 year insurance just in case the handle should break (but don’t think I will need it)Don’t bother looking at others (have also had the Dyson animal)

This Gtech sweeper is amazing. So lightweight I can lift it up by my little finger. Im a senior lady who has a.bad back and arthritis in my hands and this sweeper is a game changer. It is fantastic for dog hair due to the motorised brush. Battery life good, and now it has a docking station to charge up is a fantastic upgrade. I used to have the older model that you had to plug in but I gave that away to my 94 yr old mother as she was struggling with her heavy hoover. Im really looking forward to when I have saved enough money to buy the Gtech rechargeable mower. That will help me so much.

Sweeper arrived promptly. Assembly diagrams could be a little bit better for a non-techie like me. Sweeper feels a bit flimsy, like you have to be a bit careful with it, avoiding too many knocks, but it does the job Ok in my bungalow, which has a lot of carpets of varying quality and depths of pile. The dust tray seems to be rather small and fills up very quickly, but I suppose that is the downside of having a small, lightweight sweeper. Will see how it lasts the passage of time.

Have now had the cleaner for a short period of time therefore have a good experience of its capability. First of all I can say that it has become our no 1 cleaner. It is so light, easy to use, easily manoeuvrable and does an excellent job on carpets and wooden floors.It is simple to clean out and it is surprising how much dust it collects from what appears to be clean surfaces.Would highly recommend to anyone considering purchasing.

Wonderful machine! Got this for a birthday present. Picks up very well especially cat fur! Easy to put together and handle is long which is good as I am 5ft 11”. Delivery was very fast. Price slightly on the high side ( I have seen it much cheaper): all in all though, I am delighted with my sweeper which will make life easier for me, it’s very light. Thank you.

Quite up to expectations: robust and exceptionally good at cleaning carpets. The recharging block is dificult to use at first, but once done it is very easy to use, and when charged will last an stonishingly long time. Sliding out the rubbish tray is too hard and stiff for the wife, and did take me a while to get used to it, but now it's just part of the job.

It's a good little sweeper, glides effortlessly into all those hard to get places. Very easy to use. Unfortunately, the cord on the charger unit is far too short; needs to be twice the length. I keep my Hoover and suchlike in my utility room, where the sockets are higher up the wall, so it doesn't reach. Will now have to buy an extension lead!

It is a most useful gadget. There is only one thing which drives me I sane and that is my long. hair gets tangled around d the brush and in order to to remove it without removing the roller o use a pair of s is sorts. Why. Anything so brilliant wouldd not have this downside not rectified I do not know

I bought this for my brother who has trouble with mobility. He lives in a small flat and absolutely loves this gtech hoover. It is easy to use and charge up. I like it so much when my Dyson packs up I will be buying a gtech.

Bought the Gtech Sweeper for next door neighbor after she fell and broke a hip and arm and was struggling with conventional hoover.She can manage GTech easily and thinks it does a better job than her heavier cleaner.

I love this sweeper. You definitely shouldn't rely on it to do all your "vacuuming" but it's so easy to whizz round with this to pick up bits and pieces as it's so light and so handy. Definitely recomment
