Have always used this shape and type of battery tester. They have always been good. Fits coin, the normal tall ones and 9V - which is most shapes available. Very reliable in identifying the difference between fully sparky, lagging a bit, near dead and totally dead - which is all I need personally. You can tell by both the needle and the speed it swings. A big jolt into the green and its an exceedingly live battery. A slow swing to the edge of the red and its still usable but not in anything high power. Dipping into the red and you really should throw out. Non mover - its fully dead.

Simple to use, fits all batteries even button ones. Gives a gauge reading which seems pretty accurate. Great if you want a simple device that does the job

Works perfectly...it’s just a bit fiddly to get the battery in the exact place, but once I got the hang of it it’s quite simple.
