Wow! This really blew me away. I've been drinking whisky for a long time and was stuck in a habit of purchasing my loyal favourite Aberlour. This is incredibly good. I would honestly say this is the finest whisky I have tasted so far. From Glenlivet, 12,15,18 to Aberlor 10,12,16 to Abundha. To Belivine double cask, pendryn, highland park 12, Johnny walker black, dalwhinnie 15 ect...This whisky is smooth and very well balanced. The nose gives me slight peat, sherry and raisins. The taste is such a smooth oak with a little spice (not much bitter spice at all which is what really got me). I can taste the bitter orange and again the raisins and a lovely sweet sherry. The taste is really long and very sweet. The sherry is really well balanced. Lots of previous sherry casks I've had including my long time favourite Aberlour do tend to over power the other flavours slightly. I find that glenfarclas have really combined everything perfectly in this 15 year old. There is little to no bite which again really impressed me considering this is 46ABV. I will be buying again once I finish this bottle. Top Dram!

This scotch is magnificent. It is a single malt made the old fashioned way - crafted beautifully by a family owned independent distillery with an eye on supreme quality for what they individually do very well. The initial malt alcohol taste is reassuringly robust. This primary taste then diffuses gently into subtler flavours of sherry, oak wood, dried fruit and Christmas cake amongst many others. I probably wouldn't recommend this to someone who has never tried whiskey before or is relatively new to the experience. The initial flavour could easily overwhelm leaving the secondary subtler flavours mostly 'blanked out' making it perhaps taste a little too one dimensional. However,if you are a bit more experienced with scotch and haven't yet tried this I would highly recommend it to you. I enjoyed it immensely and will definitely be ordering more.

This bottling lives up to its reputation. This is no ordinary official bottling. Many official bottlings these days can be 46% and unfiltered and yet just lack body and flavor. This is not the case here. The nose is full of vanilla, bubblegum and cereal notes. The is definite sherry going but it is not as dominate and heavy as you might expect. Glenfarclas as has a good reputation and this is still a lot better than I expected. £40 plus might seem a bit much considering indie bottlings some other distilleries are can often not cost that much more for cask strength single cask bottlings but there is seriously quality here. For a distillery with a reputation for sherried whisky this is better than any official Macallan I've ever had (and I respect Macallan in all its forms expecting the fine oak range)

A superb dram! I am a big fan of sherried whisky, and this bottle was my first foray into the world of Glenfarclas thanks to a fantastic Amazon deal at £33 - much cheaper than normal! At this price I've never had a better drop of Scotch and if the price ever goes back down I'll be back for more! Even at the normal price of around £45 this still compares strongly to some rival offerings from The Balvenie, GlenDronach etc. and is a real cut above the £25 region whisky - notably the Aberlour 12, Highland Park 12 and Glenmorangie 10 which share a few sweet tasting similarities but have none of the richness or complexity. Also,at 46% a couple of drops of water are recommended to bring out the full flavour profile.

My son and I finished this bottle in one sitting and good conversation. Easy mild taste to drink either with ice or with water. As a Scotsman who really enjoys a good Dram, this whisky is to be recommended. It must be said though that I have enjoyed many really good malts and this among the best for value for money (typical Scotsman eh!). Seriously though, it is mild with a slight after-burn which indulges the palate to over-indulge. Relax, put the feet up and if you dare, drink it straight, you'll enjoy it.

As someone new to whisky drinking and still establishing taste, I decided that sherry oak casks were more to my taste. As soon as you open the bottle, you can smell the fruit from the sherry casks and it gives you a small alcohol hit, but not too much. I have tried popular blended whiskys and usually go for Glenfidditch 12 year, but this has quickly become one of my favourites from a sip.I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

When it arrived I was so happy how fast it got to me as its for my birthday drink with the lads . The taste and texture of it is amazing I would highly recommend it plus my dad likes it to as he nicked some of it when I went out . The only draw back I had with this was the cork top that comes with it mine broke after 3rd time opening it but none fell in the bottle few lol .I know use a spirit portioner to keep it sealed up

Have been assaulting my senses with peated Islay stuff for the last decade and decided it was time to go back to whisky with some degree of subtlety. Difficult to fault this as a well balanced, flavoursome, strong (46%) malt that will probably be my default selection for the next decade. And it isn't owned by a big multinational and driven by their marketing but by Scots.

brilliant!, unpretentious, simply packaged but outstandingly good. Rich, sweet, Christmassy, sherried and smooth. I've tasting notes that would fill a page but the quality and finish at this price makes Glenfarclas 15 the best on the market by a country mile. Amazing stuff and one of my all time faves, you won't be disappointed.

A beautiful malt. One of the best speyside whiskies I've tried. It has the subtlety of the 12yo but with lots more complex flavours and a very good marrying of sherry flavours without them becoming overwhelming as is often the case. The only thing to watch is just how quickly you drink it as it is such a good dram.

if a strong true whisky flavour is what your looking for then this is the one the 25 year old is a bit smoother but i like the 15 for its strength i also like that its not peaty or Smokey the 10 year old has a lot less flavour not tried the rest yet if this was around the £30 i would have a bottle every week lol

I love this whisky. I bought a 12 year old & found it was smooth & mellow with sherry tones, so I decided I must try a 15 year old & I was not disappointed as this was even better. If you like whiskies like Macallan, which are matured in sherry casks, then this is definitely recommended.

Simply the best 15 year old whisky. I bought my first bottle from Glenfarclas distillery after the guided tour. This whisky is very Christmassy.. rich, fruity, spicy, Christmas cake from a bottle. It's now my favourite whisky after having been a Glenfiddich fans for years.

If you fancy a little bit of magic, please give this a try. Having been on a whisky tasting I realised I liked sherry casked whisky most. Out of the four sherry casked whiskies this is by far the best. This is so refined and subtle a single leaves me wanting so much more.

This is by far one of the most complex and interesting single malt whiskies I’ve tried so far. Surprisingly long finish, appealing arrival, seducing cherry aftertaste and probably the best quality to price index. This is a whisky which will create memories.
