As someone who only usually likes scotches with a slight warm/salty character (Bunnahabhain, talisker, springbank), I was determined to try and purchase a really good "normal" scotch and enjoy it.Unfortunately despite the high 46%abv and being unfiltered it still just doesn't give that raw, gritty complexity which I adore and you would find with similarly priced unfiltered scotches.I'm not saying this isn't a good whisky, I just personally prefer more flavour - this is one for those who like a very, very light whisky.If you don't like the character of Glenfiddich/Glenmorangie then this definitely won't be for you.Maybe older age statements are worth a pop...+++UPDATE+++With a little work it shows its true colours.This whisky NEEDS to breathe (probably due to its young age,

Missing Arran? Looking at your holiday pics and wishing you were there? Look no further!This is an excellent malt, full of the flavour of Arran, water from the Lochranza burn and first-rate ingredients blended with skill and care and in case you arew wondering; nho, I'm nothing to do9 with the firm, just a lifelong Arranite and malt whisky lover.You also get two charming engraved whisky glasses which add to the effect. I fully support thye efforts of t5he Arran distillery which is a small, independent and growing concern and what better way to do it than to buy the product. This is my third purchase of this gift set and the next one will be for me!This supplier by the way is excellent.

Good to see this distillery remaining accessibly priced, recommended to anyone looking for a balanced but not light malt. Full-flavoured, fruity (apples), spirit-driven and robust, it's good both as a summer drinking malt, but has enough substance to interest a fan of highlanders such as Clynelish. The volume and lack of chill filtration make this extremely good value compared even to some supermarket malts.

Arran 10 year old single malt whiskey made the perfect Christmas gift. Also helped ring in the bells for New Year.The whiskey itself was smooth. But the after taste had a bit kick to it. The gift box also gad two engraved nosing glasses. Which meant you can savour the aroma of the whiskey and were beautifully crafted. Finished off with the presentation box.All in all well worth money

I think this is my favourite ten year old. Quite a complex flavour, smooth as you like, with a gorgeous smell. At 46% with natural colour and non chill filtered, you really get the best of this. I like half a teaspoon of water in it, leave it fifteen minutes then enjoy. I'm looking forward to trying some more of the range. Oh and I quite like the bottle too.

Non chill filtered, higher alcohol content, no colouring, chewy exotic fruit flavour profile, long finish, well balanced, not the most complex but well made spirit, zero burn or harsh notes,just fantastic, especially for the price. Highly recommend this one if you're bored of mainstream offerings.

Amazing value for money. The best 10 year affordable malt i've tried. The flavour and experience just gets better and better. Forget the glenmorangie's and supermarket 10's, this is the real deal. An un chill filtered, 46% 10 at a wonderfully reasonable price. A true quality whisky.

Finally I've found a Scottish Whiskey that isn't heavily OAKY!! Has slight oaky'nuss but just blown away by the smells of exotic fruits, but then the following day I detect other notes which is amazing, love the bottle design also!! Look forward to trying few others

A lovely, young, single malt presented with real integrity — no chill-filtering, no added colouring, and bottled at a good strength. One for fans of the Springbank 10 or newer Deanston 12 bottlings. Just a good, well-made, modern whisky at a great price.

First attractive new bottle and clear presentation on the label 10year old unchillfiltered, no added colour and 46%You can smell the spirit in the glass but the whisky is nicely balanced and full of flavour This is a gem from a new Scottish distillery

Nothing about this malt could fail to disappoint, particularly in terms of value for money as, although a young malt, it has a maturity and quality better than a number of its more expensive and older rival malts.

Great whisky, would of bought another bottle if it hadn't gone up in price by £21!!!Tobermory, Deanston are more sensibly priced . I've purchased the quarter cask instead which is better value for money.

Pound for pound this has to be one of the best whiskies out there. Depth of flavour, Nose and character ..I’ve spent more than double on other whisky that do not compare with the quality of this whisky.

It’s gentle, yet very specific and unique. Has a similar after-taste feeling of pleasure in a throat to the 12yo whiskeys finished in a cherry cask. Totally worth a try and well worth the money.

Why have I kept this bottle in the cupboard for so long what a waste wonderfull malt just realised why Ralphy voted it number one last year wonderfullAnd a realy good price value for money
