I was very happy that the replacement really was designed to go onto the original baseplate. At 73, I am none too steady when climbing steps and, had I not have been able to fit the alarm, using one hand, I would have needed to pay someone to come in and do it for me.As to whether it is 'good quality' I am unable to comment. I am happy to state that I have not had a fire since it arrived but I am sure, that if I do, then the alarm will trigger!!

We have four of these through the house and they are very well behaved. They also have a very clear 'i am awake' light which flashes to tell you it's OK. When they ring its a clear intermittent note, its not like the cheap and cheerful units that just go mad. They have also woken the children when one went off when the log burner had a problem, the others sadly are guilty of not waking children according to research.

Was very easy to swap with my old one . I was very careful to check I had the correct one though. I’d suggest that you do the same.Thanks me will tell as to where h quality. Fast delivery with prime too. Old one packed in yesterday and I’d replaced it today. Pretty good seeing as I’m an older woman. i felt it was a bit dear though. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

A much better replacement for my previous fire alarm especially as I don’t have to worry about replacing batteries. It has a long life of around 10 years. It looks also nicer than my previous alarm and also fits the same base which made life easier for me.

Realised our 2 alarms were not working,they were fitted by firefighters 10 years ago,ordered new ones and they arrived in 20 hours,fitted in 20 seconds each alarm,perfect fit on original base,Thanks Alan.

No need to replace original baseplate fitted by Fire Brigade as replacement uses same fitting so extremely easy for anyone to replace. Excellent product which should now be ok for a further 10 years.

Instant replacement for the previous alarm which was frequently going off (in our touring caravan) for no apparent reason even when the 'van was not in use. Took just a few seconds to do the swop !!

Great idea that these fire alarms replace a previous model, so no fitting of place plate, fits directly onto the old baseplate. Great idea on 10 year battery life well done Fire Angel

Not yet fitted so unable to score products performance. Pleased with design tidier & smaller than old one it's replacing. Very pleased with my purchase so far -tested and it works!

Had my previous Fire Angel fire alarm for 9 years. The replacement only needed me to attach it to original fixing plate so was easy to replace for a 71 year old Grandma.

Bought to replace previous fire angel. Fits on to the original bracket , as advertised , so easy to replace. Excellent service. Delivered next day after order placed.

Excellent, this replacement and update of the old unit fits onto my old ceiling base so didn't have to do anything apart from clip it on and hey presto! Perfect!

Does everything you need it to do, to stay absolutely safe, it's also recommended by our local fire brigade. Dead easy to fix and very well built.

hello,only one problem i stuck it to the ceiling but it dropped off and the casing fell apart it now does not work any ideas how to fix it.

Excellent the new anti toast is great.our old one went of everytime you put toast on.Easy to fit.Bought as replacement to the old version.
