Purchased as a budget game for my DS. I own the FIFA09 version so to some degree this review is a comparison of FIFA 08 VS 09.The difference in gameplay is significant, on FIFA08 the opposition golakeeper appears to have the speed & agility of a cheetah in a ferrari (even on amateur mode) making it quite difficult to score, although I have come to the conclusion this is a good thing as it forces you to vary your style of play in order to score compared to FIFA09 where there are certain 'sweetspots' on the pitch where you can beat any goalie at any skill level & can get boringThe graphics on 08 are nowhere near as good as FIFA09 & very pixellated which can make timing tackles difficult resulting in needless bookings/

Quite impressive how much they've squeezed onto an inch square cartridge. Maybe I'm getting old. It's quite good, despite my never having owned a 'footie sim' before. Bit tricky sometimes due to the small screen, but doesn't detract from the fun, I reckon it's worth it. Plenty of chances to use the stylus as well in the 'training' bit, which is nice.Overall, quite similar to match day. The ref still sends people off for perfectly reasonable two-footed sliding tackles, shouting has little to no effect, and there's a certain satisfaction to dropping various players from the England Squad. Shame it's not real.*Warning* May increase your use of the F-word.

turn off offside, turn off injuries, turn off bookings and create yourself an excellent arcade football game that will make your thumbs ache.graphically its more than enough for a handheld, being able to run one torunament at a time is a bit annoying but the gameplay is great.at amateur level, your keeper will rush out but treat this game as an aracde score more than your oppnent and you will enjoy 4-3 matches.auto switch is better than manual switch but only just, maybe 09 will iron out this minor problem.

Rekindling my childhood. Although the quality of the game isn't great compared to now, but this game was amazing back in my times.You could create your own team and enter the league. Name your own players etc.Great game would recommend.

The GAME WAS FANTASTIC WOULD HIGHLY RECCOMMMEND IT TO ANYONE AN ABSOULUTE BARGAIN. I found it easy to use and great as a birthday present for anyone not a fault in it. Can't wait to get Fifa 12 on DS to !
