Ok so reading through these reviews there are a mixed bag.I will admit when i first put the game on i thought jeez its hard to score compared to 07 and also was a little disappointed that the menus and features are not really updated.But for me the look of the menus is like booking a hotel room, you don't spend much time there so as long as its simple then i'm happy.After about a months of play i found Fifa 08 more fun than any of the previous versions, why?Ok so its harder to score but isn't that what real football fans want, unlike 07 where you can leather a ball from 45 yards with Lampard and always score!!Maybe not alot had changed but i prefer that than when you buy a game and they add 10 new controls and change the aspect,

I picked this game up cheap and have been hooked for the past 2 weeks. Visually it is what you expect from EA, the sound effects are good too.Y ou have to build from the back as is real football, if you just lump it forward then it comes straight back.I am playing the Dutch league and as long as you set it to your level you can have some exciting games. Goalies seem to be more intelligent than 07 version, doing very spectacular saves and not getting caught on the floor so much. I also have found that you have to be more precise with the shots and passes, defenders seem to cut through balls out more often, but practice makes you better. All in all I would recommend this game,

I bought Fifa 08 for my PC and it has to be said, iam confussed as to why the graphics are not as good as the console version ?My PC is more than capable to run this game at its highest settings but it just doesnt seem to have the shading on the players or the detail of the turf.It looks bland to be honest , like FIFA 07 with more sharpness. bit of a let down in that respect.But the gamwplay is top notch , the ball physics are just perfect and the way the game flows is 100% realistc. EA have made a very good game here .I would still buy it again , on the PS3 though (graphics are better)

Cannot say anything about the adult players - however - for children it is a great game.My son (9) has been playing it for months and still enjoys it very much. Graphics are good, sound is great.Because it is 2008 season - it is now much better value than new - and all the major football figures are there - though maybe in slightly different teams.And although I don't like my son spending lots of his time playing it (it is hardly educational as you can guess), at least I am glad I didn't have to spend a fortune on it.Very fair.

I think some of these reviews were written too soon. I have played a few months and yes it is harder but the game play has improved immensely. You just need time to master it. I think FIFA need to work on these bugs before they release the game. There are a lot of odd things here from the commentary being totally wrong, or your defenders standing aside as the PC strikers run towards goal.. Aside from that the management section is as good as it gets.

Ok, so I have read through the reviews here and it's clear you all just want an easy game. Yes, it's hard to master, but it can be done you just have to put the effort in. As for getting players back when defending, well that is nothing new. Don't teams do that. The only valid comment is the commentry which is a little annoying, but you can always turn that off.

i have had this game since september and i havent been off of this game since i bought it from amazon and it is superberb and you should buy this because:1)super graphics2)more added featuers3)and its better than pes 08SO BUY THIS GAME NOW!

Ive owned a few footie titles, and this without question is the best. Amazing graphics, top gameplay and all the top stars.I really cant see what there is to dislike about this... Fantastic!! Well done EA!

2008 Was when Fifa overtook Pro Evo, great game and every year they improve. This is still great to play to this day, and for a few quid you can't go wrong!
