I have played all the Battlefield games that have come out on console and enjoyed all of them. This game is graphically impressive, but it is let down by a very short campaign, albeit enjoyable and a multiplayer that appears to be a work in progress. To be fair, the single player had glitches, from a fuzzy haze on the screen, which turned out to be an enerny soldier spinning round continually so fast on the spot, that he looked like a fuzzy haze. I conformed what this imperfection was by putting him out of his misery and he fell to the ground. Other glitches include binoculars randomly being applied on a few occasions, a level that was completed, then started all over again by itself. To add minor insult, the game did not give me my 30 points for completion of the final (tank) level and just locked up.Despite not being a lengthy single-player, it was graphically impressive, enjoyable and thought provoking. It was in the most part, unsung heroes and that did add a level of meaning that is often missing from similar titles. The move to WW2 was something I looked forward to. I know there was some controversy about the pre-release trailer for the game, but the issues raised by some did not bother me in the slightest and the single-player had some poigniont aspects that I personally feel are inspired choices by the developer, such as women taking an active role - not as victims, colonial troops not being adequately recognised (financially or historically) by the French state, the people who did not fit in elsewhere excelling in special forces and the madness of an oppressive state when it turns on it's own people. None of this is done in a way that detracts from conventional combatants.I am not great at multiplayer shooters, I am middle-aged, my reactions and eyesight are no match for more nimble players. But, I loved playing this game, I played a medic in the games I played, fixing up the better able players...I also got in a reasonble number of kills, so I was not exactly driving an ambulance! The multiplayer has more aspects to come in the near future. I experienced several glitches in game play on the multiplayer, which was annoying, but did not stop play.I know that games are released by publishers who need to hit the Christmas sales, or they need to compete with a rival publisher (in this case both) but if the game is not complete, should it be released? In some ways, the game seems rushed in terms of content, but in terms of graphic quality, no corners appear to have been cut.I enjoy Battlefield, but I do struggle with this game. The whole thing seems like a tease of what the developers could do, almost like a preview, a tantalising glimpse of what could be done if they had the time - this game deserved better. I have given this game 4 stars because I enjoy the game, I even like to watch it being played, I am impressed by the attention to detail on the vehicles, so this is a good game. I just fear that EA will be releasing Battlefield games that are shrinking compared to what the fans want & deserve.I am pleased that I will not need to pay for Premium this time round, hopefully, this will continue in the future. My final thoughts on this game are about the score. When the bugs are fixed, I want to be able to revise this review to five stars, as & when it deserves it.

Electronic Arts and Dice have developed a game that is enjoyable, the shooting aspects are as good as usual and there is no longer random bullet deviation or suppression movements. Overall gameplay mechanics are fluid and fun to explore but they do have their faults and there are a lot of glitches. The new gameplay mechanic introduced 'attrition' makes the game more tactical as it limits the overall ammo and health systems so that players are more balanced which I really like as everyone now seem on the same level. The theme of teamwork stands out greatly over playing solo as it puts you in situations where you have to rely on them for support.Playing solo is frustrating compared to previous instalments as you constantly have players on your team such as squad leaders who would be camping hundreds of yards away sniping and other members taking vehicles when they don’t even know how to operate them. The biggest disappointment coming to this game is that there is no authenticity, prior to launch I was very excited to see a new game discovering aspects of World war 2 but it is farther from the truth. I would have loved if there were iconic WW2 scenarios such as the storming of D-Day or even the Attack on Pearl Harbour. Missions that you go through don’t even included content that reference influential figures at the time such as Hitler, Stalin and Winston Churchill. From these complaints it is not to say that there is no world war 2 content there is for example the Spitfires and classical tanks. The UI does need improving as basic commands such changing a weapon takes way too much time as you have to navigate through multiple screens. The multiplayer aspect also doesn’t include any storyline or cinematic to give you a purpose of killing the enemy. Graphically the game does looks good but still lacks behind the impressiveness of battlefield 1’s setting and muddy feel. Overall customisation has been improved from the prior game in the series as a new weapon tree has been introduced where you can customise your guns and add cosmetic designs to characters that are relevant to the era such as haircuts and coats furthermore you can finally be both genders. In conclusion I think this is a brilliant game that has high potential but is still unfinished in some areas, the marketing campaign that Dice introduced was really bad. They insulted the fan base and tried to re-write areas of history that in my mind are offensive for veterans that served. Furthermore, pre-ordering the game should have provided people with early access when in fact you still had to wait to launch to get my hands on it. As much as I criticise the game it is still fun to play and always gets me into the fighting mood, there are also no pay to win aspects or paying DLC meaning I can enjoy extra content for years to come. I really hope going forward in my experience that EA can avoid any further controversy and that I can get to play an authentic world war game.

OK, so I purchased bf5 before firestorm came out. I, like the majority went straight into team deathmatch and after about 3/4 deaths and the awfully slow death (where you hold your arms out for eternity begging to be revived) I quickly concluded this is no bf1. Just seemed slow, average maps, weird controls etc. So back it went in its box, extremely disappointed, went back to bf1 (which is amazing) and I contemplated selling. Then I heard about firestorm coming out and the excitement came back. Within the first minute of playing firestorm I realised this game has been completely developed for this game mode! From being revived (and being able to revive anyone) to ammo stations, self healing etc etc.Man firestorm is brilliant, the map is massive, graphics brilliant (like you'd expect on a battlefield game), guns excellent (which are tiered from common to rare), solo mode, squads (and duo coming out soon!) Bang a headset on and you literally feel so immersed! You can hear everything going on around you (from an eary silence, to footsteps, tanks coming by, gunshots etc). Meet someone and you'll either panic and die (which I did for the first 5 or so games) or take them out and loot all their gear. Be careful though as every bit it of noise you make will alert enemies nearby!. There is ammo points (randomly appear as A, B, C flags which you'd be crazy to run too IMO), towers, helicopters, trucks, tractors, tanks (some even drive/float on water), grenade launchers, resupply planes, artillery strikes (sent in by flares) and more. The firestorm is unmatched by any rival BR as it causes complete carnage, destroying anything in its Path (if you find yourself in a building, good luck the building will come down with you in it!). As the circle gets smaller and smaller you really need to be clever, whether it's hiding in a bush/house, or running round like a mad man. It's all fun and such a buzz to get to the end.Ive since been on Conquest and have to admit I'm now impressed. Again, even though this game was built for Firestorm, it works on Conquest too. From digging trenches, reviving team mates, flying planes, driving tanks (the usual chaos) it really does work and the maps are brilliant too (just like Bf1)In summary, if you LOVE playing Battle Royale and Conquest game modes GET IT NOW!Although if you are really into single player campaigns, I'd say yes it's good (laid out like stories) it's really just not very long at all. Few hours at best.Avoid if you are all about Team Deathmatch and small game modes. It really isn't for you. I'd say stick to bf1 premium as that will keep you entertained for hundreds if not thousands of hours! (I'm still playing it now)Ps, remember the majority of bad reviews on here a pre FIRESTORM. Also people will have been quick to review after playing TDM which is understandable.Go out, get it and ill see you in the pre round lobby :)

This is an incredibly difficult game to rate. The four stars I have given this is merely a placeholder but in all honesty, I could have given it anything from one to five. The simple reason is that the game is so clearly unfinished; to put it bluntly, it is in beta form, perhaps even pre-beta.I've been playing BF5 since the 15th November as I got the download deluxe version with early access, and early access describes this game well because that is what it feels like. Yet I really like the gameplay, with some obvious caveats. This is another entry in the venerable Battlefield series and I've been looking forward to this since it was announced. Its predecessor, Battlefield 1,is one of the few games this gen that I would have rated 10/10. BF5 is not as good. That isn't to say it is without its merits. Graphically, it is often great but overall, not as impressive as BF1. The sound is similar with wailing Stukas creating a scary atmosphere and yet other sound is curiously lacking. The watchword of BF5 is inconsistency and much is unfinished. For instance, the content is good but so much is absent. Customisation for vehicles? Coming soon. The fourth chapter in the single player War Stories? Coming soon. The Test Range? Coming soon. The Battle Royale mode? Next year. The War Stories themselves are a major disappointment. To DICE's credit, they have tried to do something different but to a large extent fail. They are bedevilled by too much dodgy stealth and AI, indifferent design and in the case of the first chapter, Under No Flag, by a dodgy story. But I was primarily interested in the Multiplayer, so...it can be brilliant. There have been many changes from BF1. The TTK is shorter, which I like, as it leads to sharper, more satisfying gunplay. The reduced spotting is not so great and although the general visibility is better than in the beta, there is work to be done on this. The matches are tight and exciting, and I love the fighter aircraft. But there are many bugs, many unfinished elements and some glaring balance issues. The tanks are laughably weak at the moment. I'm sure they will be patched, as will many other things, but it is a frustrating wait. The basic truth is that if it hadn't been for Christmas approaching, this game would probably have been delayed another month or two, in addition to the month's delay it has already had. It does raise questions about the value for money of the product when it is released in such a state. I have faith that it will improve markedly and even as it is, I really enjoy BF5. But I'd enjoy it more if video game publishers would release games when they are finished, and not ask me to pay for the privilege of being a beta tester.

A wise man once said 'Thou who shalt order Battlefield on day will be disappointed. Thou who shalt wait one year will not'. Probably.I've played Battlefield games since 1942(the game, not the actual year) and since probably BF4, it's always been the same EA story. They rush the game out for release date before Christmas, and it's full of bugs and weirdness. However, given BF4 and BF1 had huge server issues and were unplayable online for ages, the fact I have been able to get online is great.Yes, there are visual bugs such as knifing someone and them pinging off into space, tanks vanishing on impact with an explosion, and, hilariously, seeing the internal workings of the guns because it hasn't all spwaned. But,I know EA will fix this at some point. Because that's what they do with Battlefield. And then it'll be brilliant.Already there's loads of tweaks and changes that make the best yet.The little 'red dorito of death' when you spot someone? Gone. That means actually communicating and not just relying on the mini map.It encourages you more than ever to work as a team, through squad advantages and extra points etc.Visually, it's amazing bar the few glitches. Destruction has been dialled upto 11 this year and, as much as BF1 was dynamic, this really feels like the map is changing in front of you.The UI is hideous though. Things that should take a few button presses like changing a weapon takes an obscene amount. But we're told that's being addressed already. The big critique thus far is the lack of authenticity with women on the Battlefield, and wrong weapons for wrong sides etc. And I get that. But, if you're relying on a game to understand what WW2 was like, you're doing it wrong anyway. Order yourself a book. It's fun. And that's what games are meant to be?I know there will be people saying EA is a huge company and should have finished it. Yes, I agree. But we know they don't for whatever reason. But when they do in a few months time, and all the extra content is there (free this time by the way), it'll be outstanding.

Most reviews have already covered the basis of what Battlefield 5 is about. It's more than COD, a lot more. Squad based tactics at its best. Graphics and sound are excellent and the introductory weapons are strong enough to ensure that beginners are not at a complete disadvantage to people who've got nothing else to do in life but game. There is a decent single player mode consisting of 4 main missions, each of which can take 45mins-1hr to complete if you take your time as the game intends.Multiplayer is where the game shines though and the difficulty level is somewhere between hard and frustrating depending on your team members. There are one or two issues which the developers need to sort out, such as the frequent warnings that your are leaving the field of play despite being in the heart of battle, which serves only to distract concentration and immersion. The biggest downside to the game though is may of the people who play it. As always with multiplayer games, the servers are littered with people who don't understand the premise of the game and do nothing to support their teams or contribute to objectives, choosing instead to pursue the selfish and junvenile path to individualistic glory. Only there isn't any glory as their failure to contribute to objectives, as the game intends, leads to overall failure for everyone. Those people should stick to COD and leave Battlefield to people who understand the value of performing as a team. When you do get members of your team understand the premise of the game and work cooperatively to achieve objectives, the game is unsurpassed as a squad based WW2 shooter.

First off, I'm not a fan of FPS games. I'm useless at them. The only ones I've had any kind of joy with has been the Star Wars Battlefront games, which have been generally more accommodating for my lack of skill. In those games, you don't need to do any serious "down the scope" aiming that you do in the Battlefield or COD games. However, I played the demo of Battlefield V and was instantly hooked by the design and mechanics of the multiplayer mode. Battlefield 1, which I also bought, was a pretty poor multiplayer game. The mechanics were badly skewed in a way I couldn't put my finger on. One of the issues was that it was difficult to see the enemy. Of course, as a soldier, that's what you would want - not to be seen. But realism doesn't translate very well to games where the aim is to have fun.In Battlefield V they have tweaked the multiplayer quite a bit. The squad system has been beefed up. It makes you feel like you're part of a team, even if those players you're thrown into a squad with are not on your friends list and you don't have a headset. If you're hit, you're not automatically dead. If friendly players are around, they have a limited time to reach you and revive you. A clever enemy player can wait around and pick off players who try to revive a fallen comrade. On the other hand, reviving players helps your team because each team only has a limited number of spawns. It's a brilliant game mechanic that's sure to be copied. The single player mode is also pretty well done. But perhaps a bit too much sneaking around for my taste.

If you are considering this game and checking out the reviews, I suggest you ignore anything before March. They've made a lot of changes, fixes and improvements recently. It's such a shame that games on day 1 are so buggy these days. But credit where it's due, EA/Dice fixed the major issues (visibility being a big one), and added a heap of game modes, including (of course) Firestorm (their Battle Royale offering). And there's more to come throughout 2019, so this game is far from finished. This game is epic. The explosions are so realistic, it's almost terrifying. I've only really been playing the smaller multiplayer maps (Grind, Squad Conquests and Team Deathmatch). I just don't have the time to learn the bigger maps, and - to be honest - I'm not a very good aim (yet), so I need to at least be able to know whereabouts I am and not run around like target practice! If it's a WWII "simulator" you're after, then this might not quite be the game for you. The guns are shared across the Brits and the Germans (Allies and Axis in BF terminology). There are some silly skins (eg facemasks) that would obviously not get worn on the battlefield. But to grumble about this is totally missing the point in my opinion. It needs to be fun to play, right? So I say buy it and spend some time with it. I hope you enjoy it too :)

The high resolution deserves a marked addition for the atmosphere and sense in absolved prefectives saving. There are good points to give making the game easier and less touch and go as time gives the efforts higher thoughts and personifications with each step. There are a number of availabilities in absolution - worthwhile processess of good length have variability (without complication) and powerful movements with added special effect and much specialism in additional soulful guidings. Revealing a considerable pathway to resolving extremes in patiences, this game holds good grounds for tendancies and going grounds from insurgency. The game has more than FPS,less gorish denouncability as you take persistence and expertism along with you, the position being to rally your rounded character to greet a pasture out of whack with possibilitises. A given plus for any players jest gaining most, you might wish on a less additive personification getting unenriched with gore and appealing killing in times uninviting a stay point of the series and big with realistic chances. I hold great to the game not stepping around what is in need and not saying it is perfect in reverence, you might love it or dislike the morale, its got good things there and not without losing featurette positivity, all for one and one for all.

I really like this game. No, it's not historically accurate and if that's your cup of roast seagull I'd look elsewhere. What it is is a hell of a lot of fun - the guns all have character and the fluidity of the gunplay is such a huge step up from Battlefield 1.The new attrition system rewards players for sticking with their squad and playing tactically with friends - the very basis on which I moved to the Battlefield scene from my many years playing Call of Duty. Gone are the days when players can camp in one spot religiously. You only start off with one or two extra magazines and that camper is going to have to toddle off for more ammo after a kill or two. It all ties in to improve the flow of the gameplay. That said,as with anything in life it's certainly not perfect. At present there are a number of bugs/glitches online but I wouldn't consider them gamebreaking but rather minor annoyances. Occasionally ragdolling through the air 50yds when you die is something I've experienced a few times much to my humour!Unless you're a die-hard Battlefield Fan I would probably wait a few months for the price to drop a little and for the bugs to be smoothed out - either way you're certain to have a blast (pun intended) with this game, especially when you party up with friends. See you on the Battlefield!

So it’s been a month since battlefield 5 launched (Early access) and honestly the game has come a long way since, the launch package was decent but missing features such as practise range which you can do with up to 3 friends, along with various customisation options for tanks planes and one war story which made up for the lack luster other stories, when you compare Battlefield 5 to Battlefield 1 you can see a lot of change multiplayer has been refined and improved to a point where it’s completely fluid and clean however the campaign took a major decrease in class. If you like battlefield I would suggest picking this up when it goes on sale for around £35 as for that price your getting one ofthe best shooters out that is on course to constantly be improved with future updates all of which are free!! Unlike Black ops 4 you don’t have to spend £40 to get access to the dlc, it is included in game updates. They’re a 4 planned DLC coming out which should drop quarterly so the first major DLC should drop around Febuary the next in May then August then November this is a rough prediction. For a price around £40 your getting a bargain as your getting a well rounded game along with a season of free dlc included with a major update that already dropped 2 weeks after launch

I played the beta and found it to be so poor,I decided not to buy on launch as I normaly do for battlefield games . I got a 10 hour free early access trial and so tried the finished game , it was a mess buggy and unfinished , I played for 20mins and left it, this was a few weeks before launch , but due to having some leave from work I had another crack , and found it has improved with updates , it's now running better and easier to find a game . I think the core gameplay is much better then bf1 , the gunplay is excellent, flying the planes is good , it's just lacking some content . When bf4 was released it was the same , a mess at launch with not much content ,but went on to be one of the best supported games with loads of new maps ...and ended up being one of my favourite games of all time ..I believe this will be the same , grab it while it's cheap as it will be back up to full price once the improvements start rolling out ...I just hope dice go back to a 3/4 year battlefield cycle and release a finished decent product .

At first, I was worried that this would not be a real listing, as there were pretty negative reviews, and also it took a couple of days for the item to arrive, but I got a box that you used to get your movies in, back in the good old days, maybe 15 years ago, right after VHS was replaced by DVD movies. There was a code inside and to be honest, it looks pretty good. Given that the price was so low, I was really happy with my purchase and I would like to have a look at other items that the seller may have for sale, but I can't view them, because it simply says that it's being sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Not only do you get your game for a very low piece, but you also get a nice case for the game that you can place somewhere, alongside books, movies or other games. Looks really nice and I would definitely recommend this item!SELLER, please get in touch with, or let me know where to find more items that you are selling, I would love to have a look at other games or other item in general that you have for sale. Thank you!

This is honestly the best fps games I've ever played since Black ops 1 and Modern Warfare 2&3. I never really liked Battlefield 3&4, and BF1 didnt really interest mean, even though it's really good. When I got BF5, it was litterally the game I wanted, but never asked for. The plane combat is amazing and the tank combat is just class. Playing world of tanks on the PC, I was really good at hitting moving targets so I kinda have an unfair advantage when I hop into a tank (especially a tiger) in the game. Honestly, I really don't know how anyone can hate this game, is soo good. From the soundtrack all the way to the sound of a V2 rocket approaching. You have to get this game. It's cheap too so you have absolutely nothing to regret (Not that you will). Get it, if your a Cod player looking for a break from all the sweaty gamers. Obviously, every game has it's fair share of MLG pro gamers, but this one gives you a break. If you're constantly on the move, and know how to position yourself, you'll love the game

Many sceptics disliked the marketing, shoved identity politics, and EA's actual chief designer telling players not to buy the game whilst insulting them. However, I still bought it and glad I did! I know women are in the games screaming around etc. But remember, its just a game! Soldiers didn't respawn behind the Germans on D-day because one ally soldier sneaked round, nor did wounded soldiers suddenly restore health after being shot because a medic threw a first aid kit at them. It's a great game, if you're mature enough to not get triggered by that and enjoy FPS, then this games for you! The graphics are stupendous! Whilst spotting is more difficult, and you respawn with fewer supplies,I've enjoyed the extra challenge! Working with squads more has reciprocal advantages. I'm a huge BF1 fan, so in my opinion the game does not live up to the thrill I had whilst playing BF1, although this game came out after many years of no historic BF games, so is to be expected...
