Pros: great fun multiplayerLevel design for conquest, hot wire, heistFun single playerGame changing gadgetsCons: Some consider it old graphics engineNot much with leveloutionSome broken game modesNot enough variety in classes/weaponsI personally love this game, yes I admit I have owned all battlefield games on consoles (bad company 2 being my favourite). This game takes a great twist on the game. This game will tear the battlefield community apart it's that simple, it's like marmite, you will either love it or hate it.I will sum up my views on multiplayer as that's the key focus on this type of game, there are many games modes, hot wire is great fun as it takes the standard conquest of controlling points on the map and turns it on its head, the control points are now vehicles which you have to get above a set speed to start gaining points (easy way to gain money and rank up). This mode adds for frantic games, however, please note that it is changing due to overpowered rpgs, this is taking the crazy car chases/shootouts and turning them to a short death rides. Still, it's a great mode.Conquest is the standard affair, however all the maps are much smaller than previous battlefield entries and are more infantry focused, there are helicopters and vehicles, but this is where it will loose a lot of traditional battlefield fans, it's not full of tanks etc, no jets. This is cops and criminals, not military. The easiest way to sum the multiplayer up is that it's like a mix of game play between the battlefield formula with a twist on call of duty for the speed and reduced map sizes. I'm no fan of call of duty, however I'm really enjoying battlefield hardline.Other game modes are a mixed bag, he's it works fun but other team vs team games don't work great.Leveloution has been water in this game, yes you get a sandstorm, a villa breaks, crane crashes and bridge collapses but none are really a huge game changer.I haven't played much single player story but others I know who have say it's one of the best in the battlefield series. This game would have been praised by all if it would have been a dlc for battlefield 4.The biggest downside to the game is due to the lack of customisation, not many weapons for each class, also at the start cops have set weapons and criminals have a different set, these can't be swapped over until you have ranked up each one and earned it's licence! Not the best idea. Hopefully visceral will take on the fan feedback and patch issues (rpg in hot wire, not enough weapons, update leveloution and some badly placed spawn points). At the end of the day, I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a fun shooter as it's a total blast and attack on your sense, it can become chaos and fast paced. If your a huge fan of more military vehicular combat on large maps, this game probably isn't for you.I hope this review helps you choose, it's a great game, I'm really enjoying it and so are my friends, all of them are battlefield fans and they agree it's a great change. If you buy this game, I hope you have a great time.

Let me start by saying I loved bf3 so so much.my favourite online shooter game ever. Then came bf4.When I first played bf4 on my ps3 I nearly fell of my seat at horrible it was.The graphics were shocking.I couldn't believe it.My heart sank.Boy I was so angry. Then I bought a ps4 only for bf4 cause I'd seen on YouTube the graphics were so much better. And I will admit when I first loaded up bf4 on my ps4 and started playing I was amazed at how beautiful it looked. But,and this is a massive but,the maps were just awful to me.See I loved seinne crossing,my favourite map ever, and Tehran highway, amazing maps.Spent hours and hours on those maps.I still stand by this,bf3 blew bf4 away. Now I've come toenjoy bf4,don't get me wrong, but the maps just wernt any good,an don't get me started on China rising.Wot a waste of time and effort, boring isn't the word. Now,onto bf hardline, wot a game, online, havnt touch the campaign. The maps are incredible.Tight and compact, just like seinne crossing style maps,if like me you loved seinne crossing style combat, then you'll love the maps in this game.A lot of people are bitching nonstop that this is a reskin of bf4 and should've been dlc, well that's just complete nonsense. That's to this game I'll never be back to bf4,no need to.I've been craving that bf3 style gameplay for ages, and now its here.so impressed with this game.yes there aren't tanks, but so wot.it is cops and robbers afteral.cops don't chase robbers in tanks. And for those saying its call of duty. That's complete nonsense,I wouldn't play call of duty if it was on the only online shooter available. Hate call of duty so much.Hardline is a complete blast, beautiful graphics, fast and mad gameplay,as I said,if you enjoyed the frantic pace of seinnes crossing,Tehran highway in bf3,you will really enjoy this. And if they really get the upcoming dlc right, this game could be the best online shooter since bf3 by a country mile.If your on the fence about getting this, and loved bf3,don't,spend your hard earned cash and enjoy. This game has restored by faith, given that bf4 was and is such a letdown. It really took me along time to enjoy bf4,along time.Thank god this game has now arrived.

I LOVED Battlefield 4. It got quite a bit of stick, but I thought - after patch fixes and DLC - it was an excellent game.BEWARE! Battlefield: Hardline is a very, very different animal...For me, the general manner of behaving around your enemies is a cross between Hitman: Absolution (PS3) and Metal Gear Solid. Whilst you can approach the game 'all guns blazing', it has clearly been designed for you to act stealthily as a cop and to take down enemies without using brutal force. Take them alive. The general gameplay feel is a cross between Army of Two, LA Noire and Sleeping Dogs. It's a million miles away from the Battlefield games of the past that I know and loved.I think this should have been a standalone title under a different name (perhaps just 'Hardline').I can only think that they bundled this under the Battlefield brand in hope of better sales, or because they are under pressure to deliver a Battlefield game annually and this was the only idea that they came up with. I sincerely hope that this is not the case, as fear of releasing a new franchise, lack of ideas, or creating a new game under a recognised brand name for the sake of things would be a travesty, to say the least.Perhaps this is just a new direction for the Battlefield series. But if it is, I'm going to miss the old games even more.Call of Duty - the Battlefield series greatest rival and competition - also took a dramatic change of direction from the original war-based titles from WWI and WWII to the movie-like modern-day action games that we see now. I like the new COD games, but I definitely miss the old 'Medal of Honor' style ones too.Hardline is a good fun game, but the victim of poor marketing from the developers. For hardcore fans of a well-known franchise, this is a very different game that will disappoint many fans of the first four games.I do like this game and have reviewed it with fairness accordingly. However, I remain a disappointed BF fan, and I suspect there are many thousands like me out there...

As we all know, Battlefield has given us mass destruction in games, we all remember bad company right? So yes, Battlefield was a good name, huge multi-player, benchmark for gaming PC's and just fun all round. So, Hardline...... Hardline isn't your typical Battlefield game, we are talking about cops and robbers! Yep, you heard right! So, after playing the game and completing it, I've decided to write a review regarding this game. So, lets start shall we -The Graphics - As you may or may not know, the game is basically an import from the last gen consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3), so graphically you won't see something amazing. However, the visuals on this game are pretty good and do impress me.The textures are great, the guns look nice and the people effects are good. So overall a good visual game! The Gameplay - I have to say that this game plays very similar to Battlefield 3/4, but slightly quicker. The handling, gun firing, running etc feels much like any other Battlefield game. So really, easy to play and ain't bad gameplay at all.The Story - Any game with a huge multi-player always have a crappy story, we can argue about this but we all know I'm right. The story is in chapters, which is nicely done. I do find not skipping each cinematic's very annoying because I only want to play, not watch! The story isn't that long in my option and not really difficult to complete (even on the hardest difficulty). The Multi-player - Yeah, alright! I suppose I have to talk about the multi-player! Is it good? Its altight! Nothing special, quick pacing and enjoyable. No sign of lag just yet and I always get into a game without issues. To buy guns, you'll need to earn cash, a nice way to buy guns and attachments.Overall - The game is decent to play! Want to play a Battlefield game before Battlefield 1? Buy Battlefield 4 instead as its more of a match compared to Battlefield Hardline!

We all know cod and battlefield have been the top two online shooters you normally play one or the other fair enough we all expect and want different things, I've personally lost intrest in both after black ops 1 and bad company I've just felt both Games had lost the identity that made them great, they both had strong points and weak points. But with hardline its seems like a hybrid of the two with a great outcome, and on top of the that it has made a brave move and a great one. When I heard it will be cops n robbers I thought it's battlefield! online shooters are army based that's the un written law, it seemed brave and I thought this could seriously back fire. But it's breathed fresh life in to the online shooters it's daring, it's a new twist, and it's taking a new direction that was badly needed rather than the same s*** where expected to pay top money for! ive not had a lot of time online as of yet but I will update this in due time but from my experience it's improved the games are more frantic but not as fast paced as cod but I always felt battlefield lost some appeal for being dominated by vehicles, specially with the coppers. The maps are smaller but again not the same as cod, I do wish there was more destruction with the surroundings it has been sorely missed. The new game modes are more team based I've enjoyed the change again it's some thing differant like heist etc, i have found it is best to play these with friends with random strangers there's no team but that's always the same, after I've had some more experience I will up date this but I strongly recommend you at least give this a chance it may surprise you.

Firstly ignore negative reviews if the person who made the review has not bought the game. If it doesn't say "verified purchase" under their name I have trouble believing they've even purchased this game!Myself personally I have always been a Halo guy, but I do enjoy Battlefield and Call of Duty games too. The three highlights of my online gaming life have been Halo 3, Halo 4, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty Black Ops.I bought an XBox One for the Halo Master Chief Collection and was highly disappointed with problems that came with it and lost patience. I also bought Call of Duty Advanced Warfare but just could not get into it for some reason.Next up was Battlefield Hardline and I was not confident that I would enjoy this game either. I decided to give the beta a go earlier this year and really enjoyed it so I thought I'd pre-order it and give it a proper go.Having played it all this evening I can truly say this game is fantastic! Great graphics, great sound, highly addictive online gameplay. This game is the game that will keep me hooked until Halo 5 (although I was not blown away by the beta!!). I can't understand the negative reviews because this easily beats the latest CoD without a doubt (in my opinion!).Highly recommended!!***UPDATE*** Having played Team Deathmatch mostly I do have one criticism. When you respawn you seriously have to duck for cover because alot of the time you get placed very near the enemy. Many a time I have respawned only to die seconds later because I'm next to the enemy! Hopefully this will be addressed in an update!

Having been a battlefield fan for a long time on my xBox 360, when I bought my PS4 it was the one game I knew I was going to buy straight away. A friend of mine had hardline, and I'd not really heard much about it. I knew how amazing BF3/4 were but my big fear was that hardline was battlefields attempt at a COD type game - fast pased, quickest finger first.I bought it and I'm so glad I have done! It's nothing like BF3/4. It is more close quarters and fast pased, but nothing like COD.There are still vehicles, big maps, small maps. Conquest is still there too, which every battlefield fan knows is there signature game mode, although I haven't played it yet due to the new modes like Hotwire and crosshair being too much fun.Now the bad point (the reason it's 4 stars and not 5)The single player mode could be better, each chapter is the same game in different maps - sneak through the map avoiding people, picking them off one by one. If you get spotted, shoot them. Go through the door and start it all again. Really good idea playing as a cop but gets a bit samey.A free play mode would be good, allowing you to explore a large map and chasing warrants and stopping crime but that's not really battlefields thing. All in all I recommend buying the game if you are a seasoned battlefield player, but maybe buy BF4 as well (especially as you can get it for less than a tenner now) and treat the two games like they are completely different titles

I like it, not much to remind you its battlefield really.but it is a well done game. Love the stealthiness of the campaign and the characters are really good. Could easily see them on a tv show or something. And who doesnt love kelly hu?? If your a really die hard and hard headed battlefield kinda person then honestly you probably wont like it...simples.Theres a lot of sneaking around enemies and distracting some so you can arrest others quietly and then when and if you get spotted started popping heads! The handguns in this game are truely badass. So accurate and full of modifications. Which i am a huge fan of! In any game really. This day in age you should always be able to fully customize everything.Looks, weapons etc. if you cant then well to me it shows that developers haven't put the effort in or listened to their fans.To sum up. Badass stealthy cop game with the option to turn into gun totin' madness! Multiplayer is kinda hard to wrap your head around for a while (was for me anyway, i'm sure you'll be fine!) graphics, gameplay etc are awesome.Definately worth a try. Solid 8/10...and i'm pretty picky. LolHope this helped

As a HUGE BF fan, someone who has purchased all the games since bad company i enoyed this game. The gameplay is like battlefield 4 and the visuals do take a slight downgrade in quality. The story was thoroughly enjoyable and contains 10 chapter I'd say its 8+ hours of fun.You can play stealth by arresting enemies or using the non lethal taser. Or you could go guns blazing. The characters are good and it plays out like a live action Cop drama i really liked the presentation. The choice of in game music is also great.the multiplayer is really fun and is more infantry based. The characters have personalities which reminded me of BC2,they shout out things like 'Got that f****'there are less weapons compared to previous BF games but all are different and fun to use, the game modes are great and Blood money & hotwire were my faves. The hit detection is better than BF4 which means when and where you shoot, the bullet hits. Shots to the head kill and there is a better chance of getting 3-4 kills in a single spray due to the better hit detection.overall i really liked this game but wish it had more guns .

Initially playing this game was challenging due to the lack of practice in arresting suspects, very short range of the stun gun, absence of a proper riffle and a very small amount of available ammunition. I would have given up playing and resold it, but I liked the scenario and wanted to progress. While playing the third mission I managed to unlock the AK47 riffle and ammunition box. I also gained enough practice in arresting suspects and using the stun gun, so playing became really enjoyable. Now I am playing the seventh mission and like the game so much that can definitely say I will play it again as soon as I finished it. The filling of realism is even greater than in "Call of duty" games and the scenario and graphics are nearly as good as in "GTA V".However this game is not for gamers looking for a completely open world game as there are some boundaries like in "IGI2 covered strike". This game also requires the same amount of patience and thinking as "IGI2".Read full review...

like i said, it's a battlefield game. If like me you buy hardline for multiplayer the experience is very much the same. There have been a few tweeks to classes and levelling. Unfortunately they chose to keep battle packs. The cops and robbers theme is niether a gta copy or that relavent to gameplay. The only affect on gamplay is lack of anti air in multiplayer. For those of you used to military battlefields you know the support class gets the stinger fairly early. This game leaves stingers dotted about. This sucks becuse helicopters still float about causing wholesale death and destruction.Campaign or "episodes" is what it says on the tin. Imagine a game inspired by NCIS, CSI,hawaii five 0 and a stealth game of your choosing. You s can and arrest anything with a pulse and is only made bareable by going on a killing spree while shouting "HE'S RESISTING ARREST!" Try it. It really does work.Good game with conceptual issues that have influenced gameplay in an undesirable manner.

First things first, this game is more suited to the call of duty type player, because of the much smaller maps. The vehicles aren't as annoying this time as in BF4 because now you can blow them up easier, rather than have some moron drive around in a tank all game ruining it for you. The maps are quite small for a battlefield game, there are some huge ones but not many, the gunplay feels even more twitch than usual, and thats what all shooters should have, not a slight delay in turning like most do. All the guns are pretty powerful, but the best one is the K10 by a country mile, can kill in a few bullets and it fires like a MAC-10 with decent range. I'd recommend you get the premium pass as well because the game is great fun,I haven't ordered it yet but might do sometime, I don't play this that much but when I do its a lot of fun, and the maps they will have will be a mix of large and small maps so caters to every player.

Fantastic Game! Good improvement on graphics. So many new things added making it completely different from Battlefield 4 but you still have the option to play the gamemodes and use the guns from Battelfield 4. The campaign being laid out as episodes like a tv series is brilliant and feels so cinematic while you're still playing pretty much everything. The characters have personality and there are so many amazing visualizes I was constantly amazed throughout the episodes. Having played multiplayer aswell it really is brilliant. You have the chance to do so many different things like be a cop, robber, rob banks, regular deathmatch, steal money, drive etc etc. What the previous battlefields lacked was exactly what this has...a variety. Well worth the money. So glad they have changed things up for a first person shooter instead of sticking with the same old ideas like call of duty etc. GREAT GAME

I haven't completed the campaign yet but so far it's pretty expected. Cliche cop-drama with double crossings and so-forth but you bought the game for the multiplayer right? so that's what I'll write about. The multiplayer is pretty solid; the maps are actually quite good and I prefer the more infantry vs infantry this game focuses on instead of the infantry vs vehicle vs infantry kinda thing in Battlefield 4.Pros- Great sounds- Destruction is actually better in this game- Fast paced (but in a good way)- New gamemodes such as Rescue and Crosshairs are so fun- Got a Bad Company vibe- Guns have great recoil- So much fun even if you're losingCons- Boring campaign- Not too many guns as of now- Ithink guns should do a bit more damage to a vehicle than they currently do- Premium is full price again -_-

Great addictive game.....but so are all the other Battlefield games. For those who have previous Battlefiled games, I have no doubt that you will love this.To make things different, they've chosen Cops and Robbers. At first I didn't think this would work but was actually quite surprised once I started playing it.I was lucky to try the Beta before hand and just thought it was average. I can now say that the full game is much more fun.Sadly, the environments aren't quite as destroyable (if that's a word) as previous games. Whilst this isn't a massive problem, I did enjoy blowing buildings up with the enemy inside.Overall, there's not much to say here. If you like previous Battlefield games, then give this a try. It's not that expensive now so I think it's well worth £24.99.Enjoy :)
