I was one of those people who haven't played Sims for a long time & mainly on PC when I did, I had Sims 3 (I think it was, the one on the Xbox 360) but an update ruined the game for me & I didn't keep it so I was hesitating on this specialty being on console however if you're hesitating too, please read. The game is absolutely fantastic, I've read reviews on the controlls being tricky but honestly, they're not and they're very easy to get used to, there's guides anyway and you can always press the button to give you a reminder of the controls if you get stuck (which you won't), I'm not the biggest gamer but this was easy for me so will no doubt be for you too.The game is a real improvement to the previous Sims and quite funny too (specially when you have a fight ha). There's lots to do or your SIM can just do its thing but you earn money with tasks, it's great building relationships (and ending ones you no longer want) it's just so good but what was really unique was, I had a phone call telling me a previous Sim I was married to and fell out with badly had passed away, a few days or so later this Sim called my phone and I was like "Eh" haha Anyway I let them come round as they wanted and they turned up as a ghost it was awesome haha but that aside there's so much to do in this, it's not hard or does it take long to get the game started (something I didn't like previously, although of course if you like to build the game for a while before you start you can). The Sim customisation is so big but again easy to use and not something you have to do, it's there if you want to and it's just so good. I've literally been on it hours each day since I've got it and as mentioned above I'm really not the biggest gamer at all (I usually only like to play for an hour max and even then it's quite rare) but I've been on this ages and time has just flown haha. The game is funny, unique, creative, lots to do and lots of work put into it so if you're hesitating like I was, don't, just get the game I assure you won't be dissapointed (I'd been hesitating since its release but just got it the other day). The only reason the review is losing is a star is because of the expansion packs you can buy are too expensive, for example the seasons pack to change the seasons is like 30 odd pounds or something which is ridiculous, it's more than the game costs just to change seasons. I understand it's a business but it's just way too much, things like that should be only a few quid, at least less than a tenner conisdring there's quite a lot you can buy if you wanted everything (I'm not sure what deluxe version of Sims includes as I only bought the standard) but with that aside the game is awesome and really is worth getting!Just grab the game if you can and if it's on sale, definitely grab it and enjoy ?

I'm not sure what people are complaining about. Sims 4 has been out for what 8years now? Videos of the gameplay has been out for months so how did they not know what the game was like? I'm personally loving it so far. I've played roughly 3-4 hours of the game. It's a lot different to the old sims 3 PS3 as icons have moved, you now have a computer cursor to navigate the game, build/ buy mode, create a sim and so on.The game looks amazing! Iv been playing sims 3 on my PC non stop for months and the comparison with both is amazing. It's bright, vibrant and so much clearer. Sims emotions and needs are shown by their movements (confident, need to go toilet, hungry, sad)which is great as sims 3 didn't do that much.CONTROLS ARE VERY DIFFERENT!!! It takes a while before you get to grips with everything and I was irritated by the first hour. Once you start doing things automatically it's quite simple. Such as the clicking "needs" symbol stops you from being able to interact with items and you have to click O to go back to interacting with stuff. So when you go to click the sim or item the cursor has disappeared and you are left navigating the options around the edges like a crazy person. The cursor goes way to fast when you push the analog stick all the way and I haven't found a way to slow it down. I found myself over moving it in creat a sim and kept going back and forth to get to the part I wanted.Town mode has been changed which is the only thing I don't like about the game. To go into town mode you have to zoom all the way out and a "travel" magnifying glass appears on the screen. I have chosen willow creek and it isn't that big compared to sims 3 full map. You only get a library, gym, club/ bar and a museum. I have no clue where the restaurants, spa, town hall, school, supermaket, book store and god know what else has gone. Iv not found a way to go to the two other worlds while in my game. There are already 3 DLC to add to the world vampires, city living and vintage glamour stuff. If you get the bundle on PSN then it will cost slightly less then the game itself. I'm very happy with this as I have loads of bundles for my sims 3 pc and they are relitivly priced the same as it would be to buy them on a PC. Plus extra gameplay, stuff and maps is always a bonus.I'm loving the fact that the console version is near enough as the PC one. Gameplay and DLC wise. The games great, it just takes time and patience. If you are a massive sims fan then I suggest you buy it. If you like the sims 3 controls and don't wanna change I do warn you it would be like a whole different game.

I was debating on this for a while because I wasn't sure if it was worth the price simply due to the last Sims I had which was Sims 3 on Xbox 360, I had a problem with the game update which caused my game to go into a negative effect and I ended up selling the game basically as it was unplayable, however Sims 4 is a massive improvement on that and I'm absolutely loving it! I used to play Sims quite a bit on the PC way back so I was also concerned about the controls for the PS4 with it being on console as I'd also heard some people say they were quite difficult but once you got used to them it's fine, honestly, I'm probably the first person to struggle with things like this and I found the controls really easy, you can easily press a button too if you need to bring up the control screen (which you won't need to do) and the Sims are so customisable too if you want to spend time doing this. You can also edit your Sims at any point so changing names, look etc... is also easy even if you're playing the game and already set the Sim, you can go and re-edit. One of the thing I thought was awesome was I had been arguing with my wife (the fights are so funny) and I ended up being able to divorce her to get a new wife however I later got a call saying my ex wife had passed away, a week or so later my phone rang and it was my ex wife where I was like "Eh she's dead", she said she wanted to come round so I said yeah and she turned up as a ghost hahaha, it's also funny when they're angry and do things like kick the bin over ha, it's just so good. There has been a couple of glitches but nothing really that makes it unplayable or to get upset about, I had one where my Sim kept putting his food on the floor when I was trying to get him to eat it but a restart of the game (just from the menu not total restart) and it was fine, that's the worst I've had with the glitches personally. You can do so much, I even went on a computer and got my Sim to play Sims ha. It's just a really good game so if you've been hesitating over this like I was then don't, it's really worth buying. The only downside for me is I do find the expansion packs way too expensive, the seasons pack for example (to do the weather) is a really great pack but it costs more than the actual game and there's loads of various things in the store so if you wanted all these be prepared to pay a fortune, other than that, it's awesome and I would definitely recommend this game to anyone lol

I love the Sims, the Sims 4 on PS4 is so addicting, I have to make time for it every night! There are trophies available to earn and they are quite hard to get, but it makes you want to play more. You get 3 towns that are ready to play and you can customize every family in the town and all the buildings the way you want it. I find this so fun, I am currently creating houses that match each other and creating sims that I want to see walking around my town. You can also build public buildings for your sims to visit. If you love choosing peoples outfits and creating sims, as well as creating buildings and decorating them, you will love the Sims 4 on PS4!A lot of people have been complaining about bugs on the game,The Sims franchise was on PS3 back in the day, as the Sims 3/ Sims 3 Pets and there was a lot more bugs than there is in this game, This game has a few bugs, the game will crash at times and ask to send a report to Sony, but due to the games Auto-Save feature I have not lost any save data, so I don't mind this, the game also didn't allow me to move around the screen and at one point it said my Sims were at work so I couldn't make the sim do anything, I closed the application and re-opened and it fixed itself. There are a few issues with the game at times, but I think that updates will stop the bugs eventually! The problems I have been facing have not put me off playing the game, I just thought i'd let people know. I think they have done a good job at creating the game on console and I expected way more bugs than there is, so personally I think the game plays well. The game also has 3 expansion packs that are available for purchase, city living, vampires and vintage glamour stuff, I can't wait for them to release more expansion packs to expand the game even further! I also love playing the game more on console than I do on PC as I feel that the game can be quite slow on my PC or make my PC quite slow and I think it is more smooth on the Console than it is for me, but that's just my preference and I probably have a slow PC.

I just got this game and I'm really enjoying it so far. As it's just early days I may come back for an update but Sims 4 has been holding my interest a lot longer than the previous Sims games I've played. Not that they weren't great but this one's possibly my favourite. You can do so much more when creating your Sim or Sims: you can pick different ages, walks, body shapes and voices. You can add a few things to their personality and aspirations that affect the game play. There are so many things you can do that it could take you a while to create your Sim if you're anything like me.The social interactions and things to do are much better and more realistic (for want of a better word). You don't get so easily bored with the game. I really love the choice of interactions with the objects as well and how as you learn more you have more choices that open up for you. There's so much to do and achieve. You could drop by your neighbours house or go to the gym, or nightclub, library or museum. You have a choice of three towns to live in. People age in this and while it seems the child Sims have a limit of time (I've only tried teen so far) the adult ages seem to progress when you choose to do something, though I'm not entirely sure yet.It is kind of annoying if people pay a lot for this game and then there is so much dlc afterwards, as I didn't spend so much and there is still so much to do in this game it doesn't bother me, but I do think they should have given a bit more. It's a shame a lot of the dlcs seem to be unavailable or at expensive rate around the net.Anyways, if you enjoyed playing the Sims before you're bound to enjoy this one. Even a friend of mine who doesn't like to play these types of games is interested in trying it out.

I bought this as a surprise Easter present for my daughter. She used to love playing the first Sims game on my old PC and since I've had a Series X I've allowed her to put the old Xbox One S in her room. She's spent quite a few hours on this now and I've had a good go myself. The format is fairly similar to what it used to be. Design a Sim or family of Sims, then build them a house and get them a job, then try to make them succeed in life. If you've played any Sims game, then this will be familiar to you. As such, rather than go into great detail on what it's about 'essentially helping a little digital person live out their lives' - I'm going to tell you the good and bad points.Good points:- Graphics are sharper than ever and animations are slicker. It's a visually attractive game. The house design has some nice options and definitely the roof editor is a great addition. The control interface works surprisingly well on a controller.Bad points:- Loading times can seem strangely slow for what appears to be a fairly low-spec game. If you played an earlier Sims to death then you'll have done all this before and it could quickly become boring. It's quite aggressively monetised, you'll have to bear with me on this. My daughter wanted her Sim to get a cat, but you can't unless you purchase the appropriate DLC. There are various DLC options, so you can just pick the ones you want but a part of me just thinks they should have thrown pets in off the bat. Though the controls work surprisingly well for a controller, this still feels like a definite mouse and keyboard game that's been ported to console. Honestly? I can't help but suspect the PC version with a mouse might actually play better. Still a great, fun game though!

I’ve been waiting for forever for sims to come back to PlayStation, and here it is! The controls do take a lot of getting used to. And, I hate the fact you cannot keep the needs in the bottom right corner up at all times AND click on things for your sims to do... unless I’m doing it wrong. I see how a lot of reviewers here have said about saving problems but, my saving has never been an issue. I brought the game on PS store, but I do wish I brought it on here as it is a lot cheaper. This is the same as the PC version just obviously the controls are a lot different. I’m waiting to get paid to get the vampire, city living & some other bundle. It does keep you so busy for HOURS and I find myself playing this for AGES.But, of course eventually it does get boring & repetitive. Which is why I’m going to purchase the add-ons, bundles. However, although of course it gets repetitive, that is why they bring out add ons to keep it fun and to be honest there is ALOT to do. And, it is a game which you can go through playing 24/7 to taking a break for days/weeks/months etc and then come back to playing and loving it again. Sims to me is a unique game and I really love how you can make it your own. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the controls do get annoying at times, but you do get used to them, another reason was just how long it took to come out on PlayStation & how I hope they keep up with PC sims as they have so many add ons. Another, is some of the way you play is annoying - such as the thing I mentioned above about the needs (however, I might just be doing it wrong, not sure). Another thing is how expensive it is. Games are just super expensive.

I love the Sims 4 and originally owned onP. C. So was excited to play this as the sims has Been one of my favorite franchises from when I first played it. It's great because there are alot of added features to this game. Conversations are more complex and they added more choices for dialogue with sims in chat, there is a great building mechanism for buildings and you can pretty much design your own property. They have limited it a bit from the sims 3 because in the sims 3 you could walk the neighbourhood and use cars to go to and from places. There is no cars in the sims 4 unless you get a taxi ? and you can walk the neighbourhood a bit but not as open as the sims 3. But I think this is a minor issue. As the game it self is great. Now expansions are really good and add some more scope to the game. As for example you could get back to work expansion and you can goto work with your sim and It adds more careers and items to your buy list for the houses. There is lots to do in the sims 4 and the graphics are nice. Also the Sim customisation is expanded in this one and you can edit your sims appearance in a mirror to change body type and looks of your sims. So if you don't like a part of a sim you can completely change it in game. I think this is a great thing to add as you can literally edit your sim in game rather then having to start again from scratch. I've really enjoyed playing this game so far and had alot of fun creating sims and families ☺ and controlling there fates ☺

First of all big thanks to amazon for delivering on the release day and giving away free DLC content (perfect patio) by email.I have played every single sims game back in the days on pc. Also on consoles and mobile. So I've been playing sims4 since release day and I've been checking the reviews nearly every day. I was reading many negative comments regarding a bug which dont allow you to save your game. For me it was never an issue. Whenever I saved my game it did work. Never lost any progress so far and I am already over 20 hrs gameplay. Also I heard there was a patch released fixing the problem already. This means we can ignore all the bad reviews where people complaining about the save game bug.The game runs well, not crashed at once. The only downside is the controls. Takes few hrs to get used to it, especially if you ever played this on pc. But that is nothing game breaking so far.If you ever liked any sims series on any platform then this is a must buy. If you are a newcomer on this genre, well I can still recommend just be aware of the frustrating controls. As the publisher is EA, I have to mention there is NO LOOTBOX, PAY TO WIN or any kind of microtransaction in this game which could effect the game progression in any way (excluding DLCs).Verdict:Graphics 9/10Gameplay 10/10Longevity 10/10Controls 9/10Content 9/10I hope I can help deciding to get this or not.

I couldn't load this from the disc so ended up having to download it. Almost immediately I got a message telling me I needed to upgrade my operating system or I'd miss out on certain features on the Origin website, however this wouldn't affect game play.So far I'm really enjoying it. I love the create a sim section (always my favourite part). I miss the ability to change colours of everything but that's a tiny thing compared to how you can pull the face & body about to change their shape & look. I never really liked the look of the sims 3 characters and these are much better.I love that they can now multi-task. So if you queue tasks like make breakfast, watch TV, they'll get their breakfast then eat it in front of the TV.Also directing communication between sims is much better - while they are eating, you can get them to get to know each other or discuss interests .I don't find having to log in to Origin in order to play a problem, although it will be annoying if I lose internet connection for any reason.I was dubious about buying this after reading the reviews. I've barely scratched the surface of game play yet, but so far I don't regret finally giving in :D

The "create a sim" is defiantly a lot better then the sims 3, but the graphics of the game are very cartoonish (can be good or bad depending on what you prefer).I am a big fan of the sims 3 and have set up a Facebook page showing off my edits of in-game screenshots (Harpwood Equestrian Center).I purchased sims 4 as I wanted to try it out for myself after reading very mixed reviews, and watching DanAndPhilGAMES, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye play the game. I had some issues with installing, when you first open the game to play, an "EA log in/registration" window pops up, sadly it took me most of the day to try and log in thanks to the servers being down?Anyway, after finally getting into the game and creating my sim,I happily spent a few hours exploring the different features of the game, like going into space etc. It is definitely a good game, however without the expensive expansion packs, it gets quite boring as you can't "ex

Haven’t had a chance to play this game yet as it was a Christmas present and I’ve been so wrapped up reading my books and getting through each individual item at a time. All I can say is I’ve started this up on menu and from I’ve seen so far the mechanics and core engine of the game are far different from it’s predecessor anyone expecting a console rehash of the sims 3 will be sourly disappointed.. the sims 4 at it’s core follows the structures and the game engine of it’s PC counterpart down to the tea, player controls may be hard to adjust to in time but I’m sure I’ll have no issue, if your a massive fan and have played the sims 4 on PC already then I highly recommend the console upgrade, for fans of the sims 3 xbox and PlayStation release expect something different maybe this may not be right for you but that’s just my own opinion.

I was apprehensive about purchasing this. My laptop cant take the sims on it but I really wanted the game so took the plunge. It’s good. Not perfect like it would be on the laptop. It takes a bit of getting used to with the controls and sometimes i found myself having to google how to do things because it wasn’t clear. The massive downside to this is the loading time when travelling in game. It takes ages. About 2 minutes minimum. By that time I’m bored to don’t continue to play. I don’t know if it just me that gets that but it is annoying.Overall though i would recommend it. It’s not the worse and was better than i expected. In game looks very good. But the loading time and lack of knowing how to do things (i used to have the sims on my laptop) on an xbox controller was slightly irritating.

I'm only giving this 4* because as most other people have been saying, "it's lacking content" and it is. I waited a long time in hope it would be released for the console platform as the other Sims did, unfortunately it still hasn't, nevertheless, the 'create a sim' is outstanding, I've had lots of fun creating Sims and downloading CC, building is also a really nice feature although surrounding area is very limited which is disappointing. All games have their pros and cons but overall I would say this game is worth purchasing as there as still new features and content to explore, especially if you're a Sims fan!Hopefully for future Sims I would like to see; online features - somewhat co-op /servers to play in the same world and interact with other peoples Sims etc. and more skin details.

the game is very empty without them. Because that is EA for you.You need to get this new or unplayed because once it has been played (after regestering) you won't be able to install it or run it. It requires you sign up to origin as default standard once that has been done it becomes a pre owned paperweight ! .. So be careful ! Also if the game won't run uninstall origin (just that not the game) restart the pc and get the latest version from origin website I had that problem for a hour and a half before I learned that. . The disk apparently installs a earlier version which won't work for some techy reason or another ...So yes.Worth buying anyway !P.s I Highly recommend the sims 4 seasons expansion pack ;)
