I’m a veteran hand plane user and my experience with this ROUND spokeshave purchase was good. Item arrived promptly and was almost usable out of the box. Sturdy, well made and thick metal parts. Enamel is perfect and the bed is spot on. Only a slight bend on one of the adjustment screw shafts so not even going to bother straightening it.The ONLY true error on this is that the blade edge is not completely flat on one side. Not an issue for me as I only use it on round shafts. I had to sharpen it a (very) little just to put a better edge on it. Took only 2 minutes on the stone and she was good to go. Very happy with this purchase.I can see a few buyers had issues with the FLAT spokeshave but this one I can definitely recommend.

I wanted this spokeshave to help me to shape the guitar necks I make. I adjusted this one to give me a light shave and I found it superb. It was sharp enough to shape one guitar neck but I'll touch it up prior to the next one. Excellent product and a very low price. There is a good video Veritas on Youtube for those of us who have not used spokeshaves before; it shows setting one up that I found very helpful.

If you're looking for value, Faithfull Tools can't be beaten.This spokeshave is better than some much more expensive products on the market. Recommended.

an ideal tool for those awkward corner / curved edges. a basic tool easily used by a competent carpenter but may prove awkward to the carpenter novice

absolute door stops off card, but sharpen main bevel to 30 degrees and micro bevel to 35 degrees and ugly duckling becomes a swan

Arrived very quickly and in good order. Have not used it yet but, the tool looks and feels good with easy adjustment.

have just started to use this ..it needed a good sharpening but no problem now I'm use & GOOD TO USE

Great little tool, good value and just as good as the one I lost which was much more expensive :)
