I bought this to stop my much loved dog from going into certain parts of the house. It comes with very detailed instructions which at first terrified me when I read them, but then I remembered that years ago I had managed to put up and take down stair gates with my eyes shut whilst suffering from baby brain, so I took a deep breath and started again, logically, and the gate then proved extremely easy to put up. It comes with wall mounts that you can either stick or drill to the walls. Now I have not got the steadiest hand in the world so decided to not bother and rely on the pressure of the completed item to secure it. This is what I have done with stair gates in the past, and it works a treat.

I bought this for both my dog and for when my niece comes to stay.it's easy to put up and I found, because it's black, doesn't tend to stand out so much and look out of place.the automatic closure is an excellent idea though I always double check it. (can't be too careful, right?)The screw things that brace it against the wall are tight to do up but if they weren't, it wouldn't be secure enough.it also comes with little cups to put/brace them in so they don't damage your paintwork which is absolutely excellent!A great gate that can be easily moved from place to place without leaving screw holes in the woodwork.Also comes with a DVD to show you how to work it if you have never had this type of

I'm pleased with this item, I live in a rented house where I can't drill or screw into walls or banisters so I was looking for pressure-mounted stairgates which would fit a 1 metre width staircase. This is perfect. There are plastic cups which do stick onto the wall/banister on either side with a double-sided sticky pad, but I am pretty confident I'll be able to remove these and leave no lasting damage/evidence when we move out.Although fitting is easy, it's a lot easier with two people, so that you can get all four corners lined up straight at the same time.The installed item seems sturdy and it looks good in black as our banisters are dark wood.

Great item for the price for such a large width, easy to install. Information on fitting extensions was slightly confusing, some said max 2 one each side but instructions said different. However a little disappointed that the wall cups were not mentioned in the description and must be used to make the gate fully safe and secure. We chose this gate (pressure fit) as we didn't want to attach anything to the wall & gloss side panel in the kitchen. Hopefully when we take it down, the marks will remove easily.

Arrived next day and fitted within 10 minutes, mine didn't come with the dvd but it's pretty self explanatoryBought for a dog that has become an escape artist and decided that we needed a solution to a potentially serious problemIt's perfect and easy to operate and has proved to be already worth the money for peace of mindThe self closing door that opens both ways has stopped any moans from my sons about inconvenience !

This is a nice looking gate at a reasonable price for a wider fitting stair or hallway. My only worry is that it seems really easy to open, my wee one is just crawling so can't yet comment on if it is any use at keeping a toddler in or out! Very simple opening in comparison to other gates, time will tell....

Got with an extension to use as a room divider. Very sturdy and like the fact it swings closed. A bugger to put up though - my partner had to take over to get it right enough so the gate would shut and I don't consider myself a weak and feeble woman

Easy to assemble and very sturdy, only shame is our little Shih tzu puppy has managed to jump it! Who knew something so little could jump so high! Still use all the time though as she only tries to jump it when we leave the house.

Looked a long time before I found this item. So please I did as it is perfect for my stairs that are wider than the norm. Delivered promptly, east to fit and easy to use. So pleased that I bought it and can well recommend it.

I installed this across my porch entrance to stop the dog escaping into the road when the front door is opened. It was easy to fit, robust and the black colour means it doesn't look out of place outside.

This product has excellent built quality and looks great.We use it outside as a gate to keep our chickens away from the side passage of our house.So glad we bought it...

I have user this for the past 5 years , alongside the safety gate. Keeps pets and children secluded when necessary and also helps for partitioning area

A great product. I use it to stop my kitten running out the front door, and it works very well in preventing him from getting on to the road.

This gate is awesome and easy on the eye too. I love it though I estimated the lenght wrong and had to back order the extencion part.

Perfect for keeping our puppy in the right place at the right time. Good quality, easy to open with an armful and very easy to fit.
