Very impressed with this design.Folds back nicely.We took about 15 mins of trying to work out how to fix the gate the first time. There is only pictures. Second time fitted the gate in 5 mins from opening the box to clearing up.There are 3 extra strips you can add to the gate if you need to make it wider. My little complaint?It says you can open the gate one handed: I am right handed and can open the gate my right hand, but not my left as it's not as strong. Husband can open it with either hand.

Bought this to keep my new puppy from leaving the kitchen, no doorway so had to buy an extension kit shame that you can’t buy this in individual sections as only needed one tiny strip and had to but a full kit. Also a little disappointed as doesnt come with any adjusters to accommodate skirting boards however it is meant for children so that wouldn’t really be required as standard, abit of wood behind the top levelled it out! Works perfect for what we need and easy to open and close with 1 hand

We needed a gate to go in the doorway to the kitchen to stop our baby getting at the hot oven or the cat food! With the dining room down a narrow corridor from the kitchen, with stairs also outside the kitchen a typical gate would have made things awkward but this folds away (automatically!) and takes up hardly any space - and we can still shut the door fully if we need to. Ingenious idea - after using this for a few days I was tempted to change all the gates to this type. Fitting was easy too.

EASY to install, good quality, easy to use and does what it says on the box. Can’t understand people’s negative comments on fitting and quality??On the box when you buy it tells you to down load an app called Onbox and gives you a number code to put in and all the fitting instructions are explained in a easy Video Format, genius idea but for people without smart phones etc the instruction booklet is a bit confusing so I could possibly see why you have some Iffy reviews. Great little gate

I needed a gate for my 16 month old grandson visiting. I didn't want a pressure gate as one side was to fit to a banister rail which moves when pushed. This gate was easy to fit to the wall and banister. Having no rail at the bottom was a vital element as I feel the lack of a trip hazard is essential. The gate was simple for an adult to open & folds away neatly when not in use. I had to fit it to its maximum width & this may have made shutting a bit tricky, I had to use two hands to close it.

Initially I bought one of those solid, ridigd metal gates but had to return because it was too small for the doorway. I saw this as an alternative although slight more pricy did exactly what it said. Very clever design, love the auto retract function and has a low profile along the side meaning when not in use it doesn't take up too much space like a ridigd gate would. Its quiet flexible as extra slats are provided. All in all a very good product and thumbs up from me on the design aspect.

Needed a gate to stop my inquistive daughter coming into the kitchen & fell on this one straight awayCouldn't have a bar to step over as she crawls everywhere even tho has grabrails installed for her to walk about & this one looks really good & sturdy, bit more expensive but worth it imo2hrs after buying, the gate was delivered & didn't take my friend long to install.So easy to open & close with one hand, folds out of the way completly and cos there is no bar underneath, no trip hazard.

We bought this as a dog gate rather than a child safety gate, so we were able to fit it on about the third step up. This means that when retracted it's hardly visible. The quality of the materials feels a bit suspect. However, the locking mechanism feels very positive.Our 11 year old son finds it quite difficult to open and even the adults in the house can sometimes struggle. It's hard to explain how it can be so difficult because in principle it should be so easy to do single-handedly.

Bought this stair gate as we wanted one to prevent the dog going upstairs when we were out and for a new baby on the way. We have 3 types of stair gate now and this is great if you need a gate for occasional use. This is ideal if you don't want want a stair gate getting in the way when you don't need it. For a dog maybe or for when grand parents looking after grand children regularly. Easy to install with plenty of width adjustment. All plastic but solid enough and great value for money.

I bought three of these- after figuring out first fitting it was then easy! They are so convenient when you only need gates at certain tones or they are at grandparents house and not needed every second- so much more convenient for other people in the house as the stairs are open until needed to be used and no tripping over bars or open n closing gates to get up n down stairs when not needed- a bit more expensive but so happy I don’t have three standard gates which inconvenience others.

Had a few stairgates over the years but this one is really good. Yes it is more expensive than some but you don’t get the trip hazard from the bar at the bottom of the standard gates. It’s not as inflexible in regards to the child pulling on it as the metal ones are, as it’s not made of metal!, but it’s held up to quite a bit of battering by my 2 year old! It is easy to fit around non standard door frames, we have one post on the outside and the other sideways on and it works a treat!

was really easy to put up and very easy to use i brought it as we kept tipping over the old gate and this looked perfect its great the way it just folds back into itself its hardly noticed when open as its folded against the wall it has extra plates to make it the right size for your door way and they just slide in and clip its locks shut then you just push a button and it opens and folds into itself its doesnt fold fast had no problems with trapped fingers or anyone getting hurt on it.

I love this safety gate. It's the only one we've had that hasn't threatened to take your eyes out (top of the stairs), or blocked another doorway (bottom of the stairs). The foldable idea is genius. The only slight downside (and this shouldn't put you off) is that it is a little awkward to open sometimes as the catch that you press down is a bit stiff but I suppose that has to be a good thing if you have a curious baby! (We use ours for keeping dogs out.) Otherwise an amazing product.

Excellent, does the job it’s supposed toThe instructions that come with them are terrible. Found a YouTube baby dan video, after watching this video assembled it in around 15 mins and it was simpleOne side of the gate is screwed into a wooden bannister the other side a brick wall, the instructions say the screws are only for wood, and to replace with screws suitable for brick and rawl plugs, ended up buying some rawl plugs and used the screws that came with it and it’s fine.

I have been after a flexible safety gate for some time. The alternatives were quite expensive, prohibitively so. However, I, by chance, came across this one and the price was reasonable.Installation was simple and, coupled with the extension kit, easy to follow. It fits an awkward gap perfectly and, which is a rather neat feature, leaves no irritating lower support to trip up.When extended, provides a semi-rigid gate and when retracted it folds shut to a fairly discrete size.
