These are the best USB flash drives I have ever owned and I used to own an IT company so have bought hundreds over the years. They are very strong and robust. I have use mine on a daily basis to install software and backup files from customer PCs and laptops temporarily. It stays in my pocket most of the time and I don't like to go to work without it. The design is all metal and rubber and is built for all environments. I have personally dropped mine, run over it (intentionally to test it lol) and dropped it in water and it has survived all. I wouldn't make a habit of doing these things and not sure if the manufacturer guarantees it will survive these kind of tests but survive it has and is still going strong. If I had to find fault with it, it would be that the branding labels wear out and eventually peel off but this doesn't stop it from working. I have three of these of which the 128GB is now the most useful because of its capacity. The other two I have had for about 7 years and they still work perfectly although I have lost the cap for one.My two favourite features are: 1. The physical size: its big enough to be easily seen (I tend to loose the tiny ones) but small enough to fit neatly in any pocket or small bag yet being extremely strong and robust.2. It withstands daily, if not hourly, use over extended periods of time. This will get plugged in and out of every PC I work on (up to 20 a day, 6 days a week for several years) and still show little signs of wear or bending or in damage to the USB connector. In my view this is one of the best USB flash drive you can buy. Oh and by the way it is USB 3.0 so transfers files fast enough for most tasks but, lets face it, if you are looking at this you are probably more interested in its durability and for this it is top notch. Only problem for corsair is that it lasts too long so I only need to buy another one for space or if I loose it.

Do you care about your data? are you paranoid that one day your flash drive would just stop working (happened to me a few times now)?. Well I have very painstakingly collected tons of research data for my thesis and I don't want to one day discover that I have lost everything just because a stupid flash drive decided to give up the ghost. I have been using this device for a year now and it always brings out the 'oohs' and 'aaahs' in people when I pull it out of my bag. It looks equally impressive sticking out of a desktop computer - like some kind of next-gen flash drive thingy... you know what I mean. But keep in mind if you've got a macbook pro (like me)the stick is going to be a snug fit since it sits higher than the USB ports on a macbook pro. Can't do anything about that sadly other than just hoping it won't snap in two in the middle of a data transfer (which it hasn't so far). Haven't tested out if it's waterproof - won't be trying that for myself even though they claim that it is on the box. All I can say is I think I sleep much better nowadays, with the thought that my data is stored safe inside a tank trapped inside a cylindrical bunker... jez saying... you can never be too paranoid.

you will not kill this the keychain loop is tough aluminum and will honestly break the key ring ir resides on before the loop gives out the drive inside is attatched to the key loop side so in the event the cover comes off the drive is staying put on the casing it has a gasket seal that makes it near impossible to work its way loose infact i often have to apply a little force to unscrew when i want to get inside but nothing too tough ive had mine for over 4 years now (2012) and the only thing that broke was one of the little rubber bumpers fell off which are only there for looks ant to stop it making a clanging sound when it knocks against stufftake my advice buy the biggest model you canafford the 256gb version is a little pricey at 76 pounds but its the last flash drive youll buy for quite some time and will hones tto god last youto attest to its ruggedness ive stomped on it threw it as hard as i can at a wall had every vehicle i can get to drive over it including a fully loaded concrete mixer truck and it even a jcb IT STILL LIVES

I used to own the old version and loved it, I had no problem buying another one based on my experience of the old one. The new one is clearly improved, everything about it seems better bar the placement of the keyring holder. I should have paid more attention to the reviews because it was brought up there. The keyring attaches directly to the usb stick itself rather than just the case. It means I can't put it on my keys without pulling the USB socket out of the PC whenever I use it. When it's not on my keys I can easily forget to bring it with me. Despite the usb stick being brilliant in every other way, this one thing completely ruins it for my needs.

Have had the 16Gb for a while, getting full, so upgraded. Its as tough as old boots, well nigh bomb proof, but..... couple of things to be aware of. Out of the can, it's still quite wide because the endcap is part of the drive, and can be a problem plugging into closely packed USB ports if there are other things already there. Also, it is quite bulky if you intend to carry it on your keyring. That said, if you want a drop proof, 200m waterproof pendrive, go for it. I use it for service and parts manuals for work, and it's the best !!! And, the logo makes other pen drives look girly :-)

I bought this drive as a spare/backup drive for my important documents. My original survivor drive has stood the test of time and still performs perfectly after a couple of years of use and abuse and I expect this new one will perform just as well.As you can see from the picture my old drive has seen better days but in my industry a standard plastic usb drive would have failed long before. It is perfect for storing important documents on as the device is water/dust proof and can survive being crushed, I store mine in a fireproof safe for an extra level of protection.

I work in IT and have used numerous USB sticks. Lets be honest they all perform the same function, however the quality varies tremendously and paying more doesn't mean higher quality. I have used a 32GB USB3 version of this stick for the last 5 years and it failed on me last week. I have purchased this 64GB in replacement and the quality is still the same. This the best USB stick I have used and I have broken and lost tons over the years. This stays on my car keys and gets used daily; if you want a tough waterproof usb stick than can take a battering this is the one.

Not the fastest USB storage on the market, nor the best value. Also important to bear in mind that it is quite bulky. In spite of these issues, I do own two of these drives and I'm delighted with them. Working as an IT technician I always have a handful of cheap and light USB drives lying around for general files transfers and backups. But for the software I use to diagnose and solve problems, I make use of these. They're as tough and reliable as they come, whether they're being banged around in a pocket or a bag. They also look the part.

As expected, Corsair has done a great job with the product. It's very rugged, and it's going on my keys, which go through a lot of abuse. My only issue is the speed of the drive, for the physical size of the drive, I was expecting a much faster transfer speed to what I was getting, my SanDisk Extreme 64 GB USB Flash Drive USB 3.0 up to 245 MB/s is a similar physical dimension and is much faster.Test:Corsair Survivor Stealth v2 32GB formatted to ExFat.MacBook Pro - Intel i5 at 2.5GHz, 10GB DDR3 Ram, Seagate 480GB SSD.

I always carry a USB stick on my keys. Always have. However I was going through them so quickly it was getting a bit ridiculous. Whatever brand I tried I managed to kill it one way or another. But then I found this item. I have now had this stick for 8 months and it has seen everything from muddy fields and deep water, to dusty, desert-like festival sites and blistering heat. Nothing has phased this product and it is still going strong!Well worth the small investment! I've not lost any data/backups since!

Great price for two heavy duty memory sticks! Bought for DJIng, fat 32 formatted which means compatible with pioneer cdj's. I only play wav files that are around 50-75mb, 32gb is enough to store 700 + tunes. Solid connection, sturdy sticks, indestructible case. Great product, I have gone through so many flimsy standard usb's. Ultra fast transfer through USB 3.0 onto the flash drive, this makes no difference on the cdj's though as they are only USB 2.0, still tested and ultra reliable when dj'ing!

This is by far the best USB stick that i have ever got i always seem to get plastic USB's and they end up braking after a few mounts but i can alredy tell after having this one for a few days its going to be solid and last me much much longer then my others as well as being fully metal it is water proof and shock proof to make sure all my data that i keep on my usb such as college work and documents are going be safe no matter what awesome USB would recommend 100%

I have to say this is no word of a lie. I have only been able to test it’s ability of it being waterproof in a mug of water, of which to no surprise it survived (maybe there’s a larger difference than I thought between 200M and 1 mug). Then I decided to test it’s strength, and I had the perfect idea consisting of the USB and an Audi A3. I am happy to say it survived without even a scratch.

The main reason to get this Corsair Flash Survivor is that I already have one...5 years old....and it is still going strong, am a little paranoid about loosing all my stuff on it, use it for keeping work and take it back and forth when I have to do work at home. The exterior quality feels a little more flimsy than the original, but these seem very reliable, which is the main thing

Item as described. I really like the canister style design and it worked fine on delivery. I did not rate durability because I'd expect this item to last several years and obviously I cannot rate after delivery. Side note: there is a hole for a lanyard/cord so if you want to use it you'll need to provide your own. Not a negative just a comment for prospective buyers.
