Great purchase! Corsair have done it again... I cannot fault them as a company... I have their Vengeance and Vengeance LPX RAM in both Gaming PC's at my home... also have Corsair SSD's and the K70 Gaming Keyboard so I'm very much aware about their brand and the quality that comes with the brand Corsair and that doesn't stop when it comes to making smaller devices such as this Flash Drive...It's a great size, not too big that it's an obstruction and not too small to the point where it can be lost... It's 23.3mm x 11.1mm x 54.3mm. The Flash Drive itself is 32GB and is formatted in FAT32. The USB has a sliding mechanism to help keep the USB 3.0 protected and undamaged when it is being carried around which initially from the package it is very stiff, but as soon as it's been used it weakens up so that it can slide in and out easier and clicks/locks when fully open or closed.Previously to this, I had a OTG memory stick by Lexar which had both a USB 3.0 and a Micro USB adapter but it soon broke after 2 years of use and around 3 weeks into it, the sliding mechanism broke and so did the Micro USB Adapter.... this forced me to purchase this flash drive which I use this flash drive for school work only, however it's more than capable enough to have movies and other forms of media stored onto it and it being used to watch movies or play music from... I ran a test on CrystalDiskMark which scores will fluctuate up and down and it is also dependant on the PC it is on... however my PC has been on all day and has multiple programmes running also using the CPU and the scores still came back impressive and MORE than enough for Files, Pictures, Documents, Music and Movies. When the USB is in use, there is a blue LED which indicates whether the USB is reading or writing any data and there is also a plastic loop by the LED so that you can tie a rope or clip to it putting it onto your set of keys so that you don't loose it.Overall... I highly recommend this product... If you are looking for a durable, high quality Flash Drive, then look no further... you are investing into one of the best brands when it comes to computing and storage and the form and function of the USB make it a great purchase over other brands which are making very small USB's and also cheaply made USB's which will just get lost and misplaced... Also there are variants ranging from 16GB up to 128GB so you are really spoilt for choice, depending on how fat your wallet is :)

Nice and fast write but the read like any fast stick is rather slow.I got a constant 180mBps write spead but only 33 constant read spead. This was writtent to a Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB.Worth 5 stars for the price and I am very happy with it.It is natural to have a slower read speed anyway and that is why they always show the write speed on the listings and not the read speed.I think it is a lovely well made stick and is not too bulky. L 55mm - W 25mm - D - 12mm. Same when it's open or closed. It is solid and not flimsy like some of the good makes but of course CORSAIR is in my opinion the best.It lives up to it's spec and does have a very fast write speed and that is dependent on what harddrive you have or what rig you have.Compatible also with USB2 but do not expect it o be fast on a USB2 setup.I recommend these and mine was the 128GB version.

I bought this 256GB USB stick to put all of my music 140GB on it for playing in my car (2011 BMW 5 series with USB audio). It works perfectly, all of my music (800 albums) in MP3 and WMA format (CD quality but works on BMW USB Audio / iDrive) copied onto it and it is pre-formatted as FAT 32, the format required by BMW USB Audio so I didn't have to do any formatting for it to work. FAT 32 normally has a limit of 32GB but this is FAT32 formatted and the full capacity of 256GB is available.I would not hesitate in buying another one, the capacity is huge and works like a dream. Can't quite believe this size is available for a very reasonable price of £50.

I bought the 256GB X1 model and I must say I'm pretty impressed. Nice and robust and really quite small for this amount of storage..though you could find it a pinch on width if you have other ports very close to the USB 3 one on your equipment (the drive is about twice the width of a USB connector, so needs roughly half the width of the USB socket each side free) An excellent backup device for the money...and it's seriously quick. On a desktop Windows 7 64bit I7 with USB 3.0 it is a pretty fast drive, particularly on reads, but on a new Windows 10 I7 XPS 9550 Notebook with USB 3.1 it really flies. As you can see in the screen snips. Recommended.

i have used over 20 different USB Flash Drives over the past couple of years, they all fall short, for loading, reliability and general use. This Corsair, is of course more expensive than most, BUT, as a DJ i need speed and reliability. WHen using these in a club situation, when i press ' load' a track is loaded instantly. ( due to its SSD speed ) no other USB has offered me this speed. when im transferring large playlists, to this USB it can handle hundreds of tracks at a time, and done in seconds! its a no brainer for me. up to this point used daily, no issues no fuss.

These are like the tank of USBs. They weight about 50 grammes, 10 times the weight of plastic USBs!) but feel like you could trust them with your life data. The sheets they give for the USB3.1 is unparalleled. Have tried Sandisk and Kingston but nothing comes close to the speed of these, especially for uploading DJ sets from Record Box. The only issue I can note is the cap can't be stored anywhere when it's off (like on the other end of it) so I am worried I will lose it but apart from that, if you are a DJ it's a worthy investment.

I have the GTX Voyager 128GB for more than a year. Very substantial metal build, lots of capacity and pretty fast. I just wished that I got the 512GB one - much better bang for the buck. Not sure where the negative reviews come from, it seems that Amazon mixes and aligns reviews of totally different flash drives under one "model". A horrible and very confusing practice! If you want the near SSD performance - it is the GTX model, the other Voyagers are with much inferior hardware.

Fantastic. ..don't buy any other brands. .this is the best n reliable product. ..10STARS! !!There's a little blue led indicating file transfer (some activity) DON'T REMOVE WHILE ITS BLINKING TO AVOID FILE CORRUPTION. ..BE WARNED THAT OFTEN THE USB PORT IN USE CAN BE LOOSE AND ANY MOVEMENT OF THE FLASH DRIVE WHILE ACCESSING DATA CAN CAUSE SOME FILE DAMAGE ,MOST LIKELY WHEN COPYING TO THE DRIVE..IF DATA IS DATA IS DAMAGED- EMPTY THE DRIVE N REFORMAT THE WHOLE DRIVE.CHEERS

Write speeds seems to be about average for this type of device, I am getting approx 80MB/s write and similar read. The USB stick offers strong protection to the data with a sliding mechanism. As I also work on Linux, Macs & Windows I was able to test this on allplatforms and all computers saw the device immedietely. For this to work you have to format the USB to exFat file system on Windows and this enables you to share data between different common operating systems.

Fast, simple and well built. I've used Corsair and Transcend sticks for many years now and I think this is up there with the best of them for build quality. The little hasp is useful, if slightly thin and the black section has a nice grippy feel to it.So far I've found this stick to be very reliable and stable across numerous Laptops, PC's running both usb 2 or 3 which was not something that could be said for some of the first USB 3 capable stick a few years back.

The manufacturer claims a maximum sequential read of 130MB/s for the 256MB X1.You can get pretty close to that copying very large files on a fast computer with USB3.1. On an older computer with USB2, I was getting about 45MB/s readReal world write speeds topped out at 58MB/s on USB3.1 which is pretty much as I expected. Corsair don't quote a write speed for the X1, but given the X2 has a maximum write speed of 90MB/s it is good for a drive at this price point

I bought this on an Amazon Deal of the Day and am really enthused with the quality of build and the fact that unlike many Drives these days that don’t have an LED to show you of activity, this does. Plenty of space to back up a whole system, it feels so solid with a very healthy click when one opens or closes it. I have had this for some time but am just starting to use it seriously and find that I have to say that it is excellent.

This was the replacement for a fake 32gb posing as a 128gb drive which was a shock in an Amazon stocked product and a well-known brand in Corsair. The drive has a nice blue led when it's in use and the USB port can extend or retract when not in use.Feels robust and I expect reliability from Corsair over the next few months. Great for installing a new OS on with 128gb the size of a SSD and USB 3.0 will be fast in same speed port.

Compared to most pen drives it is big, heavy and expensive, but it is fast. The read and write speeds are comparable with an internal SSD in an external USB enclosure. When thought of as an external hard disk, it is actually quite small and light. It does stick out a bit more than one would like from the computer when in use. It therefore benefits from the use of a short extension lead (not included) in case of accidental knocks.

Just about said it all my headline. Now use these for VMs. Discovered they're just as good if not faster than the external SSDs I bought only 6 months previously. But these are half the cost and a quarter the physical size as well as water resistant. What's more they're yankable, no faffing around ejecting them. In fact the eject option isn't even presented for these. Now thinking of upgrading to the 1TB version.
