Compass Box create stunning blended and malt blend whiskies and this is no exception.Most modern mass produced blends contain roughly 20-30% single malt whiskies of an ok standard and top up with mass produced grain (corn) whisky matured in tired old casks. Compass Box do things very differently and you can immediately tell once you taste it.This is an old school blended whisky from a time when they were more concerned about quality over quantity and great whisky was more important than gigantic profit.Compass Box not only tell you how much of their blend is grain (in this case 34% from Cameron Bridge) they also tell you the single malts involved (Although by law they cant tell you the age of them).

Very nice peaty little number, my first taste from the compass box range, will be trying others.
