I found the printer difficult to set up and in the end I had to connect it with a USB cable (not supplied). The printer has its own software and is complicated. Since I have installed the printer, I have experienced problems with my internet connection - the printes tried to connect to my router and then my router turns off. The Photo Garden and other free software are not useful to me and take a long time to load. I really just wanted a robus tbasic printer that got on with the job. The printer is very light and when it is operating it can move about a lot. The paper feed at the back is well designed and holds the paper upright. I have not used it for printing photos but otherwise the general print quality is OK.

Bought to replace 10 year old HP Photosmart C7280 all in one printer. Canon TS5050 shows how printers have advanced. Had initial problem setting up the Canon using Linux, but installing Gutenprint drivers quickly solved that. Scanning also works well using generic Linux programmes, such as Simple Scan.Printer is compact, looks good, has individual colour inks for economy, straight through paper feed which makes printing on thicker card possible. It is also so quiet and quick to start up compared to the old HP printer. Very impressed!

Love this printer. Works fantastically well with 300gsm card stock. If you choose photo/best the print is exceptional. The really great news though is you can use compatible inks and it accepts them as genuine and they are not wet. Fabulous from your phone too using the selphy app. During set up get your Wi-Fi password in first if using a computer otherwise gets stuck in a loop. So add it via Printer screen first then computer can find it. If you are using phone the Canon selphy ap runs it through easily. Well worth it so far.!

Worth paying £50 for. My previous two printers were a £30 Epson and a £40 Epson. The print quality was nowhere near as good as this one, they were FAR noisier and were not as compact.This is an EXCELLENT mid price inkjet.I had a Canon 12 years ago and similarity the print was superior quality.Have also had HP’s but the print quality on these Canons seems to be the sharpest.Being primarily a photographic company, I suppose I should not be surprised.Highly Recommended

Generally easy to set up, good quality printing and inexpensive to buy, inks are reasonable in price.But I had one serious issue, the printer was impossible to set up on my PC which was running Windows XP, the CD refused to load and downloading the software was a waste of time as it refused to run.I then had to set it up on my laptop which was running Windows 7. If I knew it wasn't suitable for use with XP I would have purchased a different printer.

I had had Cannon Pixma before I bought this new model. The last ne lasted me for years without a problem. I decided to upgrade to a new version and decided to buy TS5051. It was easy to set up. The print quality is better than the last one. You can print your documents via Wi-Fi and Copy and Scan the documents. These functions are new to me but it did not take long to get used to this new printer. All in all, well pleased with this new printer.

This printer is very good, plenty of back up should you have a problem, however much general maintenance can be done by using the tools which are supplied.Print quality is very high and the ink usage is great,, I use my Canon a lot and it has not let me down yet.Tons of additional things can be created Printed disks, Postcards ect, there are many templates you can access.10/10 All round

This printer is a good performer once you have set it up. It was reasonably easy to set it up to print from my iPad, apart from the rather laborious method of entering the wifi password. I couldn't get the laptop to recognise the printer until I used the Internet Protocol option (IP) and entered the printers IP address which you can find by scrolling down one of the menus.

It took a while to set up on the PC but was quick and easy to do on the smartphone. I have a PC, laptop and 2 smartphones connected wirelessley via the home router. Responds well to inputs and is nice n quiet when "quiet operation" is selected. Great to be able to replace ink tanks as required and change all. Happy to have bought this Printer.

Print quality great. Compatible cartridges work well and are very cheap. Printing appears to be slower that my old Canon printer. I do use this on wifi so I cannot comment on this aspect. This is my third Canon printer I think they are brilliant, in the past I have tried two other makes but I was not happy with them.

I bought this to replace my old one which broke after many years. I can’t say I thought it was the simplest printer to set up - mainly because the instructions over complicated the procedure - I’d have probably be better not to follow them! As for the printer itself I’m very pleased with it for the price paid.

This printer came out the box and within 10 mins and a cup of tea later we were printing out from our phone. The printer is good quality and the cartridges are affordable and do not cost more than the printer. Would highly recommend this printer for once this technology does what it says on the tin/ box

I found it quite easy to set up, especially when taking photos off my phone using the Canon app also it seems to be very economic with the amount of ink it’s using. The quality of the photos I have printed off so far have been very good and the detail is very good all in I would definitely recommend it

Very pleased with all aspects of this purchase. I'm not technology minded, but found this really easy to set up and operate. Works great with my phone for printing documents and images off. I'm very pleased with the quality of the print and the reasonable price. Would recommend it from my experience. ?

Old model but with max definition for photos.Internet reviews slate it for being difficult to set up - absolute rubbish. Just follow the crib sheet and it does it easily.First printer I've had that is not CAT 5 but it works just fine on both wifi and USB cable.Great value and good results.
