Bought as a cheapie as waiting ages for warranty repair of my main Epson printer and my work was piling up as was my daughter uni homework.Refurbished often means turn it on & off and wipe it over or a replace exchange that's been workshop repaired. However, arrived spotless in original box with manuals and CD. I was however disappointed it didn't have an ethernet port, I'd mistaken LAN for this but it's wireless LAN only, which makes it much slower.Initial issues in set up seen on earlier feedback involved it discarding print outs on the floor. Support advised at end of paper IN tray locate a tiny thumb indent and pull and lo and behold a small flimsy but sufficient arm extends to hold the print outs, should have read the 100 page manual! Also had issue with setting the auto duplexing as the standard default print setting has this off and checking duplex and saving does not save this. Finally worked out to effect this as your default, save this as a custom setting at the top of this tab, all good then.Another plus is it accepts compatible ink cartridges (5 individuals too) without warning that the ink police will be around shortly to arrest you, not even a nagger screen with alarm, so update the firmware at your peril and leave well alone as this model appears made before this situation got nasty and ultimately saw remote disabling of printers by some manufacturers.Best feature for me is the auto power on, just by sending a print job to the printer it will automatically turn itself on and print and if you've set auto off to the minimum (about 15mins) will then turn off again, brilliant as it's up two flights of stairs in our loft room!So all in all, a great little printer, quality prints/photo's/scans, cheap ink and other features to do with social media if that's your bag, but I just wanted an emergency printer/scanner and for this it's more than great and arrived quickly at a good price. What's not to like!Read full review...

This is my second CANON PIXMA MG5750 - first was purchased 2016. The printer head finally gave up despite removal & cleaning with warm water/isopropyl.Looking for a replacement I was surprised to see the exact same model still for sale @ Currys! Compared to newer printers it is bulky but this does mean that the display/controls are on the top and easy to read and select. Inks are easy to remove - have always used compatibles with no problems (colours not as vibrant as Cannon) expect the occasional 'download' message - referring to use of the compatibles I presume. Will indicate cartridge needs changing - use see through cartridges and decide for yourself!I had forgotten how noisy it was when printing - then remembered there is a 'quiet setting'- indicated in the display window - (OK button - lower arrow - scroll down to 3/3 - middle button).Jammed paper can be removed from rear - (remove orange packing strip) slide round compartment to the left - bit of a fiddle, pull paper out slowly - slide cover back into place. This printer will take up to 160gm A4 card/paper (180gm is a struggle!).Have noticed some reviewers complain about printed paper falling onto floor - not noticing there is an excellent slide out multi paper holder accessed by 'thumb hole' edge of flap - Hey ho!Scaner /Copier/ Wi/fi works well (remember to delete previous printer first if its the same model!) Large instruction sheets a tad tedious - a step by step set up,Read full review...

I bought this to replace a very similar Canon MG5650 which was required head cleaning every time I used it if it was to print properly. Sadly it's cheaper to buy a new printer than get the old one repaired so to the scrap heap it went. The only difference I can find with this model is that it takes different cartridges that are more expensive - what a suprise! So the old cartridges have to be scrapped too.Performance-wise, it prints well, scans well, photcopies well. It's not the most convenient to use - changing from A4 to envelopes or 6 x 4 photos is a faff becasue there's only one paper tray and it has to be reset every time. It's also quite big and not especially quiet, but it does the job I need to the standard i need. It also prints double-sided automatically which is great for saving paper. You have to feed pages for scanning one by one though and turn them over manually. For the money it's good, and I can get compatible cartridges at a much cheaper price than Canon ones, so that makes it a good buy.Read full review...

I have no idea how this would stand up to office use, we use it at home because it's as easy to type things up & print it off as it is to write & more convenient .My previous printer was 20 years old so the difference is seriously noticeable. The Cannon is fairly compact neat & looks really good it has been easy to set up & the quality of the printing is excellent & I rather like the ability for duplex printing. It will remain to be seen how long the ink cartridges last 5 seemed rather a lot & I was not sure how practical they were but they are so much cheaper than the ones I was using that I am fairly sure it will be more economical in the long run.I suppose it depends on if you want it tohave lots of bells & whistles for me this is a good easy to use printer value for money & has does everything I have asked of it.Read full review...

A classic ‘distress purchase’... My previous printer MX925 which cost me £100, died with a weird message saying the wrong head was fitted and I needed to print some letters. After following instructions the message changed to ‘call for repair’ and I concluded that a new MG5750 at £50 special offer was a better and cheaper solution. Setup was a pita - I wanted to plug into my router via internet to create a network printer - but no Ethernet connection possible. WiFi failed normal connection repeatedly. In the end I tracked it down via Router Maintenance and installed it via WPSOnce installed, print quality is good and Air Print for printing from smartphone worked fine.Quality is a question -compared to my old printer it’s very flimsy and the price paid just about rates it at 50% comparison - only time will tell!Read full review...

A nice printer/scanner for the price. The print quality is very good and it handles graphics well with good colour rendition. The ink cartridges are separate CMYK plus an additional black for text so it is quite economical. It can be a little noisy when starting and shutting down and shuffles the print head back and forth but there is a quiet mode for scanning and printing. As is normal it operates as a copier, printing straight from the scannerThe paper input tray can be folded up or left extended depending upon space available so reducing its footprint but this means that a stock of paper cannot be kept in the printer.Printing wirelessly is very useful and can be done from a mobile 'phone or tablet via a Canon appMy first printer wouldn't feed the paper in but its replacement works fine.Read full review...

The Pixma 5450 is a fantastic printer. Easy enough to set up and good build quality. The paper is stored inside (as opposed to the Epson's top tray, or the 5750's front tray). When printing the front "door" drops down automatically and printing commences. As I said Setup is easy enough; even for a techno-phobe like me.Scanning is okay I have a separate scanner which produces better results. For an everyday printer this one can't be beaten particularly when you can use compatible inks; saves a clean fortune over the branded ink. This is my favourite printer over all the printers I have ever owned. My last 5450 died! I bought a 5750 and the build quality is much poorer. The paper is out in the open as it has a front tray. The 5450 rocks!Don't buy it, cos I want it!!!

Bought this as a Christmas present for my 11 YO granddaughter. Setting it up was fairly easy once I had found the instructions I wanted from the mass of instructions in every EU language possible. Trying to install the software was also hampered by the fact that my granddaughter's laptop did not have a disc drive so I had to install from the Canon website and her wifi was not the fastest in the world. However, I got it up and running and had to leave her to it when she had to print her homework. This, she carried out without any problems and she is really happy with it.I just hope that it fares better than the last printer I bought for her which packed up just out of warranty. To get it fixed was going to cost more than buying a new one.

After the troubles I'd had with my previous printers (all Epsons) I did without one for 3 or 4 years, prefering to use my local library rather than face the hassles of yet another printer. I can only say printers seem to have come a long way in those 3 years. My local PC shop told me that for intermittent use, the Cannon seemed to give the best service, so I finally decided to get one.I can only say it's been a pleasure so far. Easy to set up, great quality printing and plenty of features. It's really quiet too, and the replacement ink cartridges are reasonably priced. It's true the manual isn't the best, but being printed in 75 languages doesn't exactly leave a lot of room for detail...

This printer replaces the higher spec but much larger Canon Pixma MX925, which is now about 5 years old.I have lousy broadband and wifi and found the connection to my devices ie PC, smartphone, and iPad unreliable.I have set this new printer up with a wired connection to my PC and wireless to other devices and it works well. The speed is okay and the print quality is pretty good and certainly good enough for most people's family photos. The start up ink cartridges that came with it have lasted very well with all my experimenting which is just as well because like most multi function printers they are very expensive.Overall I am very pleased with my new all in one printer.

The Canon Pixma MG5750 is the best printer I’ve used and is great for home printing and general use. The quality is great and once you’ve found the right drivers (check the Canon website for specs and installation guides) it’s really easy to install and setup. I print using wireless connection from my Macbook and I’ve not had any issues as of yet. Easily connects to your phone and tablet also meaning you can print from anywhere at anytime. Really good value for the money and you can buy third party ink which works perfectly and is half the price of the genuine canon ink. The scanner and copier are a great feature too. All around a really reliable printer!

I was looking for a decent quality product at a reasonable price. It was fairly easy to set set up,just follow the instructions carefully. The print quality is excellant & it has some good features. Never used this brand before, i,m glad i tried it & am more than happy with it. Its easy to use & load. Although i would have liked a more in depth insruction manual{written, not to download} but everything seems like that nowadays, but fiddle with it, play with it & i,m sure you will figure things out. looks chunky & imposing, but it isn,t ugly, looks good, works very well, what more would you want

A good printer for the price considering the ability to print from different devises using Wifi that other printers are not able to do with such ease. Print quality for normal, colour and photo print is very good and you don't need to change cartridges unlike other printers. Haven't had it long enough to determine how long ink cartridges last, but replacements are easily obtained from various outlets and are reasonably priced. The only criticism I have is that sometimes you have to reset the print tray for printer to pick up paper. This being the only reason 5 stars were not awarded.

I needed a Google Cloud printer for my Toshiba Chromebook 2 and Canon Pixma MX475 is just what the doctor ordered. Connecting to TalkTalk WiFi took a little longer than expected but this was mainly due to my lack of knowhow. The printer first refused my TalkTalk password but I then realised it was case sensitive! After that setup was a breeze and, just to prove that printing from Cloud worked, I took my Chromebook to the local pub and printed one of my photos from there. Success! Yet to use the scanner but have already received a few faxes without problems.

Having had a canon before, I switched to a HP but the ink cartridges were very expensive, so I have gone back to the Canon. This printer is very responsive, quick can print both sides with out having to turn the paper and put back in the paper tray, loading the ink cartridges are easy, set up is quick without any fuss.Best thing is you can download the Canon app and print from your smartphone, tablet or pc and actually scan back to the formementioned withoit having to attach to an email.Best value for money and I'm very happy with this product so far.
