I have always went for Epson printers when buying and replacing inkjet printers. The main reason being the older printers are cheap and it's easy to find compatible ink cartridges for every Epson I have come across.I finally succumbed to HP for my inkjet needs simply because they started the instant ink service which so far has been worth it.However, I purchased the Epson ET2600 Ecotank printer as I have started using sublimation inks for my business.Knowing full well the hassle of replacing cartridges, fighting with refillable kits, cleaning up the mess and then getting the printer to recognise the cartridges.Just not worth the cost or stress.I decided to gamble on using sublimation inks immediately in this printer instead of using the normal ink that comes with it.My gamble paid off as they work no problem at all.I got the printer home within a few days from my Amazon seller. The box contains everything needed to start printing right away except the paper. You get the printer itself, 4 bottles of ink - the usual Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. The bottles contain 70ml of ink. A UK and Europe power cord and the software disc. Epson have still provided the usual bumf in form of warranty, legal info, user manual etc etc but they have actually cut this down a lot. Thankfully.Anyway, the printer also comes with less internal packaging and tape than they used to. Again, I'm grateful. Just 2 strips of blue tape to remove.Plugged in, switched on, software disc in computer. Runs for 20 seconds then you get offered to continue set up using most up-to-date online software.I opted for online software. Takes a minute to download drivers etc. Wizard opens up to take you step by step through set up.It struggled to connect wirelessly. Tried a few times but to no avail. Had to uninstall all the software and drivers and start againAttempt 2... much better. Part of the set up requires the ink to be inserted. No cartridges meant no thumbling around.Bearing in mind I opted for sublimation inks, they still insert the same way.The Ecotank is on the right hand side as you look at the printer. They are easy to identify as they are well labelled. All you do is pull off the rubber cap and pour in the ink then replace the rubber cap.I would like to see something a bit better than rubber caps as the ones on my ET2600 are quite loose. I would prefer a tighter fit or screw cap so they are more secure.Back following the wizard, the ink needs to feed through to the print heads. A process Epson call 'charging the ink'. This takes around 20 minutes. A long, tedious and boring 20 minutes. Finally, Epson try to force all the usual software on you. OCR software for the scanner, photo and card making software etc. Just skip past it unless you really want it.A quick test print and your done.Using the printer has been a positive experience. Top load paper that goes print side facing you then comes out the front.Easy to use printer software. Settings are easy to navigate to such mirror image or type of paper or quality settings.Printing quality is excellent. A4 is the maximum size. Printing is very quick, even on highest quality settings. The quality is so good that even using sublimation inks, I have managed to get away with using the standards settings for printing.Scanner works no problem at all with Microsoft paint. Open paint and click on 'Scan From Printer'All in, I paid just over £140 as there was a discount offered. No quibble though as it does the job well.

The printer was easy to unpack and set up. The ink bottles are easy to use and don't require any effort, apart from ensuring the colours match the containers. I liked the fact it gave an estimate of time required to install and initialize the printer. I like the buttons which are easy to use. The screen is a little small and that made seeing some of the icons difficult but in everyday printing/scanning/copying scenarios it's fine. The reason I only gave 4 stars is the registration process is absolutely awful. The website on the startup sheet timed out so I had search for the support pages and once I found these it mistook my Mac for a Linux system. Eventually I set up an account on the Epson site. From there I was able to register the printer, retyping all the same details I'd entered in setting up the account, which was a pain. It also asked me for strange information like whether I am married and my age. How is this relevant? Having completed the registration strangely the printer details were not in the "My Epson" area of my account. Then I mistakenly opted to take the survey. It was onerous with no option to skip questions and again asking lots of intrusive questions. I then had to register for Epson Connect, at another site and having to enter alot of the same details again. Finally, I had to register at a 4th site to claim the cashback reward and you guessed it re-enter all the details again. Having said this at least I got acknowledgement of my cashback receipt.Once I got passed these hurdles it was straightforward to set up the printer on a Mac and Android smartphone. One thing to note though, if you are setting up on a Mac and even after downloading and installing the printer software, the Mac defaulted to using Apple's version of the Epson print driver. This was recognizable because it had "airprint" added to the end of the printer name/description in the printer settings. I can't place website details in this review but if you search for "Finding the correct printer driver for your Mac" there are lots of useful articles to help you rectify this. It's important because the Apple version of the driver doesn't have all the features of the official Epson driver and also it can affect the quality of the printout.Printing (including duplex) is quick and the photo quality is excellent. I like the 2-up/4-up feature for printing multiple pages on one sheet of pater. Scanning is a little slower than expected but the scanned document is very good quality and easy to attach to files, etc. Since I've installed the printer there have been two firmware upgrades, one which provided a more accurate message of the progress in printing a multipage document. The firmware was easy to install direct from the printer by answering a couple of questions on the screen to proceed with the upgrade. Absolutely no prior technical knowledge is required. Once the upgrade had started I left the printer to it. It completed the upgrade and carried on printing afterwards without any further interaction such as a reboot. All-in-all I love the printer, it's got a very tidy footprint, is well made and does the job extremely well. I bought it because of the eco friendly nature of the ink. I can't assess how accurate the predictions are for using the ink but so far I've printed over 120 pages and the ink tanks remain almost full.

So glad I got rid of our HP4620 Officejet All-in-One in favour of this.I approached the WiFi installation with a bit of trepidation after 1) a very difficult WiFi installation of the HP some while back AND 2) some reviews here saying that the Epson ET2600 WiFi installation could also be challenging. However, installation was actually very straightforward, with the included EPSON installation DVD clearly guiding me through without a hitch.Filling the onboard Eco-Tanks, with the (included with printer) 4 bottles of ink (Black, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) has the potential to be messier than just snapping in a new ink cartridge into the HP, but, with care, it needn't be messy. And the satisfaction of knowing that the "oil change" will last several thousand pages, rather than the few hundred on the HP is a reward for the minor and infrequent inconvenience. We have used it to print various documents (all wirelessly) from a PC, a laptop and two Android smartphones (using the Epson iPrint app) without a hitch. As with ANY inkjet, we know that we have to be wary of the inkjets blocking if left standing for too long, so will make sure we do some printing every week (even if only a test print) to keep the jets clean. And with the Epson, unlike the HP, we won't be even thinking about how quickly the cartridges are running out.I would buy the same printer again, without hesitation.UPDATE over 2 years (Jan 2020) after purchase (in late 2017):My good intentions about doing some regular test prints to ensure that the cartridges / jets didn't dry up / get blocked fell by the wayside...but I didn't need to have worried AT ALL...this Ecotank technology seems WAY more resilient to infrequent / low volume use than the old-fashioned disposable inkjet cartridges I was used to, from HP and Canon.I do black ink (not colour) printing 99% of the time, so was concerned (having not printed in colour for a few months) that the colour ink tanks (with ink from when printer new) might have dried up / or associated jets got blocked, so I have just done a colour print test to see if OK.I've attached some photos to show just how good the print quality is, with NO evidence of deterioration.I find this remarkable as with my previous HP and Canon inkjet cartridge printers (where the cartridges cost a fortune, but seemed to dry out at the drop of a hat), I would have been forced to do multiple inkjet/head cleans to try and get any sort of colour print quality if I hadn't used colour much and would be starting to think "maybe it's about time I got a new printer" to start afresh. To my eye, this Eco-tank prints as well as the day I bought it over 2 years ago and I'm still on the original inks (included with the printer at time of purchase).I would never revert to a traditional cartridge inkjet printer on 3 grounds:1) Cost of running2) Ability to produce great quality print, even with very low and sporadic print volumes - particularly colour printing3) 100% reliability, including the wifi linkIn the past, I have found printers at the lower end of the market (£80 - 120) pretty (no, very!) frustrating, but the Eco-tank technology and the quality of the Epson build have completely restored my faith that it IS possible to get quality at a very economic price and running cost for the sort of printing I do.

I've not acquired a printer for some years. I guess that like many others I have always been a bit frustrated by the great expense of buying inks. Basically the manufacturer sold you a very heavily discounted item (usually with a "starter" cartridge with a tiny amount of ink) but you were then locked in to buying ink. This saw a growth in the compatible ink market. This printer seems to mark a clear change in the business model. It's expensive, but there is a lot going on which means it is not surprising that it is expensive. It comes with five bottles of ink 2 large black and one smaller one of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. These are advertised to deliver 14,000 pages black and 5,200 colour.I checked the cost of a replacement set and it was around £35 - but the capacity of the bottles is far greater than the small cartridges of old. Filling the ink tanks was straight forward enough (though I wasn't able to figure out how to get the scanner/copier plate to stay lifted).I connected it to my home wifi network without any difficulty and was printing over wifi in minutes. For connecting via usb I had to download the software from the Epson site to my Mac. Installation went very smoothly and I can now scan using the Epson Scan application. It also copies very simply. It appears that "photo" printers as a separate category are also a thing of the past. I tried printing a couple of photos using the built in SD card reader. Navigating to the photo I wanted was a bit cumbersome - but I had a lot of photos on the card. If I wanted to do that again I would put just the photo I wanted to print onto an SD card. I had some "premium glossy paper" from the time when I did a bit of photo printing so put that in the machine. I have to say the results were very impressive. Very high quality and with excellent colour rendition. And borderless too - printed right up to the edge of the paper. Bear in mind that if you do print photos especially large ones (mine were A4) you will deplete the ink much more quickly. The figures for pages printed are calculated on the basis of printing text which, if you look at a page of printed text, takes up only a very small proportion of the page. Most of the page is actually blank. With a borderless photo every bit of the page gets printed on.The printer does print double sided - automatically apparently. I had one print job (of a web page) which didn't do that - and the print dialog box did not give me an option to choose double sided. I also found that I had to keep an eye on the paper size which seems to default to "other" and I have to reset it to A4. These are minor glitches which I expect to be able to sort out.The claimed print speed (33 pages a minute for black) were way in excess of anything I could achieve, even when connected via USB cable to a recent MacBook. As I don't do large print jobs this isn't an issue for me, but it something to note. All in all I think this is an excellent printer and I think the new business model of selling it at a realistic price and not charging exorbitant prices for ink is fairer. There are a few glitches which mean that I have given it four stars at the moment.

This is my first experience with an Epson printer, and a printer at this price-point. In short, I am very impressed! The printer ships complete with documentation, and installation CD and several bottles of ink. The printer itself was well packaged. Once unboxed, I could appreciate that the printer is well made and very solid. It measures 18.7 x 34.7 x 37.5 cm and weighs 5.5kg. You can connect the printer to your home network using either wifi or ethernet (cable not included). I am using the printer with my MacBook, which immediately found the printer on my wifi network. Set-up was very quick and simple following a few simple on-screen instructions. I did not need to install the bundled software. This is a 3-in-1 printer, meaning it can print, copy and scan. The printer has a small 3.7cm LCD screen to control this. I found the screen resolution to be a little low, but it is easy to navigate. There is also a very handy ink indicator on the front, so you can see how much ink is remaining and top-up before if is depleted to ensure printing is not halted mid-cycle. You can also print from your mobile phone or SD card, which is ideal for photographers. The paper loads in the top, meaning you need to place the printer in a suitable location. The included ink (vacuum sealed) is promised to print up to 14,000 pages in black and white, and 5,200 pages in colour, which Epson claim to be 3 years worth. Refilling the ink tanks using the included ink is quick and mess-free. You simply open the tank door on the front of the printer, lift the specific tank top and insert the ink refill bottle onto the nozzle. The printer can handle double-sided printing. Printing speeds were very quick; a black and white page on low settings seemed to take 2-3 seconds. Quality, even on the lowest of settings, was very impressive. I printed a few photos using glossy cards in full colour and was very impressed with this! So much so, I framed them and they appear to be of studio-grade prints. On another note, the printer should ideally be placed on a solid surface; I placed it on a bookshelf and the movement when printing did shake the bookshelf. This isn't a design flaw with the printer, and I am only mentioning it for information purposes.Overall, I would highly recommend this printer. It is one of the best printers I have used and is replacing a very trustworthy (but less-expensive) HP printer I have used for 3 years. In terms of quality and usability, the Epson is very effective. I don't plan to use the scanning much (taking pictures with my phone fulfils my needs for this), but it is nice to have these additional features. Conclusively, if you need a high-quality printer and print in colour a lot, this should serve you well. The included bundle of ink makes this a very good purchase.

I have been impressed with Epsons cartridge free inkjet printer. Some may think its a bit of play on words really as its still requires "refills" and their cost has to be taken into account. Software and printing Tested with computers running Windows 10 OS.Pros1.Excellent print Quality in Black and White2. Reasonably quick printing for documents and not that loud.3. Colour document printing is of a good quality.4. Photo prints are very good quality - this will vary according to what paper you use. If printing photos I recommend using a photo print paper.5. Setup guide is easy to follow and refill bottles are easy to use to load the ink into the tank.6. Its got a reasonable desktop footprint - you will need some space.7.No printer cartridges - just refills to purchase. However the ink provided should last a considerable time.9. USB and WiFi connection. I have used the wifi and it was easy to set up ( see Cons however).10. The printer is quiet on standby and awakens from sleep quickly.11. The scanning software supplied is very good and scanning is simple using the software.Cons1. The drivers and software were supplied on a cd. I found this cd was slow to load the software from. I would advise going to the Epson website and downloading the latest software and install it via the hard drive to save time.2. Expensive Initial costFinal ThoughtsEpson state that it will print up to 14000 pages in black and 5200 pages in colour which is alot. I have looked at the cost of replacement refills and they look to be priced around the same price of cartridges I have had to buy for other similar "cartridge " based inkjet printers. However cartridge based printers rarely print this many pages in colour, especially photographs so Epson's claims are impressive. I have not been able to test it but to be able to print 14000 black and white using a full ink tank is very good and 5000+ in colour is good for an inkjet. If these statistics are true then the initial cost of the printer can be justified and most home users will not be spending a fortune trying to print their kids homework or the odd family photographs.I hope Epson have some form of recycling plan for the used refill bottles and perhaps offer users an incentive that would be good.

I found the printer largely very easy to set up and get going. I approached filling the ink tanks very cautionary, even putting a towel underneath the printer but this was generally fool proof. Each bottle only locks into the corresponding colour and won't pour otherwise. Furthermore, there is no danger of overfilling the tanks as the tanks automatically lock when you reach the fill line. Very economical and easy to complete. However, do still read the instructions, as while most of the tape around the printer is to be removed there is one part inside in the printer that looks like you should remove it but the instructions clearly stipulate to leave this intact.I set up the printer wirelessly with an iMac.The driver disk included is only for windows capability but the driver for mac is easily available to download with clear instructions included on how to do so. Once installed I had no issues in getting things to print. I placed the printer in an adjacent spare room with the iMac in a separate bedroom. I tested it by printing some clip art style images and a photograph of Ariana Grande. I was satisfied with the quality of both and after laminating both sets of images I was content with the colour and clarity. However, I wouldn't go as far to say this is 'published' printing quality or as sharp as a printed photograph. It's possible experimenting with different types of paper could impact that. I used basic white computer paper you can buy in bulk in a large variety of stores. The printer operates very quickly but that is my only qualm with it. If I loaded the printer with multiple sheets of paper, it seemed to suck the paper in so vigorously anything after the first page would become unaligned and it would often jam. I got much better results placing one sheet of paper in at a time. This may irritate you if you are printing multiple pages at the same time and do not wish to be loading pages singularly.I would recommend this printer for the home for small based printing jobs. Would be perfect for school or university or to print basic documents and do simple craft projects. Could also be used for a business if your printing needs aren't especially complex or large scale.

We got this at a very good price, must have been one of those 'flash' deals you stumble upon from time to time. For what we use it for (mainly b&w text printing, occasional colour printing, no photos) it has been very good so far. But the display is so small it's hard to read the icons. Operation is a bit counter intuitive, e.g to copy something you place the paper to be copied on the scanner, then, instead of just hitting the relatively large 'OK' button on the touch pad you are instructed, on the minuscule display, to hit a differnt button. On the display you can hardly make out which button that is! Penny pinching stupidity at its best - why not just include a slightly larger display. If you eyesight isn't great this display will be a problem. We had one paper jam but couldn't see how to clear it (unaware that there's a flip-down panel on the reat that gives you access to the paper path). Epson tech help didn't mention this when phoned so had to take it to an Epson repair centre where it was cleared.Had to have a lengthy head cleaning session to get the coloured inks to flow after having the unit for a year or so, but this was down to our low usage of colour. Black has never clogged. Print quality seems good, don't know about photos though. The double side printing is great.Best features are the large ink tanks. That ink (given our lowish usage) is going to last us for ever! And full bottles of refill ink are pretty cheap as well. If you're printing a lot you should get one of these ecotank machines. Also we got a free 3 year extended warranty, even though this isn't mentioned on the Amazon advert. You just go onto the Epson website and look for 'extended warranties' you will be directed to a page (might be a pdf download) that lists all the produts that can have the free extended warranty and follow the instructions. All in all quite pleased with it.

The problem with inkjet printers is the size of the cartridges and the limit of inks. Also, considering the plastic crisis we are currently living in, useless plastic when empty. Epson's Eco-Tank printers have visible refillable large tanks that are supposed to last 700 pages. I've printed over 100 pages in the past month and barely seen any ink loss.Like with any inkjet, you're supposed to print occasionally to ensure the inkpads don't dry out. You're not going to be afraid of doing that with this printer. Should that happen, it is possible to get a replacement tank unit for a small price but considering how little ink I've used so far I'm not sure if that will happen. The default is for standard paper although that can be changed. However, if you switch to glossy paper and, say, enhanced inking once you send the radio signal to print, you'll have to press the OK twice on the printer to over-ride the default. You'll also have to confirm with an OK when you turn the printer off. Rather useful if you have second thoughts. I did find that the settings need to be put in again at the computer end if you choose to print more on a different card/ink but that's something you'll have to live with.I did try to over-ride with getting the downloads from Epson to the printer but now think that's a mistake. Send the register code from the printer and Epson will send the necessary into your computer within a couple days or less and update periodically. It has all the settings like any of Epson's. It will print without them so don't feel like you have to wait for them to come.I'm very impressed with this printer and if you want to save plastic, when your current printer dies, its worth getting. It costs a little more but considering how much ink cartridges cost, you'll quickly get your money back.

It arrived, I followed the instructions, which considering I am from the era of fountain pens and paper, I found self explanatory and easy to follow. It downloaded what it needed to and connected when it had to. All in all I found the process painless. When it comes to printing, i found the quality good and relatively quick. Also for copying. Scanning, I had a small issue with as I couldn’t work out how to scan multiple items to one file. However, with the help of the internet this was sorted via Epson Scan 2, which allows you to do this. For me, it would be more user friendly if it was in the scan settings on the printer. The printer ink tanks are phenomenal,my daughter uses it mostly for printing work for her teaching lessons, up to 100 sheets, some single sided some double, some black and white some colour, any other printer we would be going through cartridges like they were going out of fashion. The rear upright feed perhaps a little small in quantity, but I like it as it has less of a propensity to paper jam.The one thing I’m not too keen about is the size of the screen on this particular model. Could do with being a minimum of 50% bigger, however that could be me and my eyesThe one thing I have to research is the remote printing. Got an email address for the printer etc, but when my daughter tried it was a failure. Am sure it’s something we’re doing wrong, but as it’s not a critical issue, I will do it in my own time. All in all, an excellent bit of kit, economical to run with good quality results

When the printer arrived and I unpacked it, I was impressed by it's compact size. The set up was a bit lengthy. Whatever happened to Plug and Play? There was a CD included which sort of led you by the nose through the process. It was in the usual pictogram form which personally I dislike, though I appreciate the need to do it that way.Once set up and loaded with the ink bottles, the printer then had a chunter to itself for several minutes whilst it sorted out the ink and printer head. It then asked for the not quite empty ink bottles to be reinserted, whereupon the final small dregs were taken up.The ink level indicators are perfectly clear. The control pads on top of the printer are a bit small and confusing, but doubtless will become clear and easy to use with experience.I have tried printing on white printing paper, which was fine. I also successfully tried printing on Bristol Board at about 250gsm. That was excellent. Finally I printed a full A4 colour print on glossy paper, which was also excellent and trouble free. The printer is being used via Wi-Fi with no problem. There is a slight delay on switching on as the machine looks for and finds the signal, but that is normal.I like the idea of ink in bottles rather than changing cartridges. The Epson printer I had before seemed to use more ink in realigning it's print head than i ever used in actual printing. I'm hoping this will be different, but only time will tell. If the situation changes I may well return to this reveiw and change it appropriately.

I was looking for a printer as I have to print a lot of assignments for my university course and work. After having gone through several printers over the years that either failed or I had to get rid of for being too expensive to run, I chose to take a chance with this one as it made sense by looking at the features and the claims made by Epson.I was sceptical because of the up-front cost. For the same amount of money you can get a colour laser printer, however colour laser printers tend to be bulkier, noisier and the toner cartriges are not cheap. After having this printer for about a month and having printed about 200 double sided pages (all with text, graphs and photos) the ink levels haven't moved at all.I would have gone through at least two sets of inks with my previous officejet printer for the same amount of printing. So for the money you get a printer that has automatic 2 sided printing, that is cheap to run and relatively compact in size. The only cons are:-No USB cable in the box.-No ADF-No FAX function in case you are a time traveler and reading this review from the 1980s-Only connects to 2.5GHz wifi. If your other devices are connected to a 5GHz network the printer cannot be discovered.-Relatively small feeder and paper trayThe Pros:+Cheap to run+Automatic double sided print+The print quantity claims seem to be true+You get a full set of inks, NOT a starter package+You get 2 full bottles of Black Ink+Quiet mode

Printer arrived on time with no external and wasteful Amazon packing, a good start. Having watched a you tube video on how to set it up, I was already familiar with how to do it. It was easy, packing inside minimal and necessary, ink bottles easy to open, even if you have issues re grip strength as I do. Outer plastic can be ripped off, I used scissors, bottle tops easy to open. Easy to fill ink and spill free, Instructions clear. Removed all blue tape and opened and filled ink wells with ease. Once plugged in the printer initialises, takes 10 mins. You can do other things whilst this occurs. WiFi Set up was very easy I didn’t even use set up software. Display on printer is small and it makes it easier to use if you are seated,I like the display buttons they are sturdy and well spaced, software prompts are concise and user friendly.I am not a hi-tech person, and this was seamless, I am a little in shock I was expecting some frustration.Print quality good, as is copy. I already had an Epson printer so the Epson print app was already in use, the only change was to select the new printer. I have a Mac and Apple tablets compatibility not an issue. I use a WiFi signal booster no problem there either. You just select the extension you are already using and input you WAP number. Early days but this is a good start.

Easy to set up and fill the ink reservoirs. Small footprint which is handy in a crampt study.I was careless in my choice of this printer because I didn't think through two features of the ET-2750:1) It has a rear fees tray, inconvenient because I wanted to use it flush against a wall.2) The screen is tiny and I have trouble reading it even with a magnifying glass. The adjacent buttons (it is not a touch screen) are the same colour as their surround and the symbols printed on them are not very prominent. In both cases my oversight rather than a printer defect. My old printer caused frustration watching the (estimated) ink level of the colours plummet even when I had only printed non colour documents. The individual ink reservoirs show the actual ink left to use, and can be seen clearly at a distance. Paradise! This is an office printer, so the print quality when printing photo's is good rather than excellent. To get photo quality you need to choose the ET-3750 or better, as it has a different print head technology. Printing monochrome documents, the default settings produce adiquate results lacking vivid black characters. You need to adjust the settings, and then get near laser like text.An excellent printer which should prove to do the job nicely, with low running cost.Read full review...

So glad I ignored the negative reviews about any difficulty setting up and software etc. I took my time and downloaded stuff direct from the Epson website to make sure I had the latest drivers etc and no problems at all. Just be patient. The only thing I had to watch out for was that with some software such as Word etc that I use I had to re-assign to print with the new Epson printer which came up easy as pie on the menu. I had installed the drivers on my main PC (Windows 10) which picked up the Wifi connection to the printer with no problems. I did wonder if the laptop upstairs (also Windows 10) might need new drivers installing also, but no it found the Wifi connection to the printer and was able to print from it straight away. The refillable ink tanks are a dream come true. This is my 6th printer in about 20 years and is head and shoulders above the rest. HP, Cannon, Dell, Kodak(def the worst) etc I've tried them all constantly looking for an affordable home business printer. I can't think of anything I don't like about it. It doesn't spend ages chuntering to itself wasting precious cartridge ink before printing something and I don't have to waste time registering I've put new paper in when I do.Its too early to comment on its reliablity but its off to a very good start.
