First and foremost, the ink costs. I've had this 2 years now, and I've just used a single black bottle. The other 3 tanks, the colours, are still around 70% full. The ink provided will last me 4 or more years, and even when I have to re-fill, the cost of the bottles are amazing value. My previous printer was a photo-printer , the Epson XP-750, and the print quality, even for non-photos, was excellent. However, it did get through ink, even though I printed very few pictures. The cost of genuine cartirdges was apallingly high. So I reverted to compatible cartridges. After a few months I found I had to clean my print heads as the output got stripey, and then that happened more and more until the heads were unusable. The printer had to be thrown away after a few years, I don't know how much the use of compatible cartridges influenced that, but whatever, the printer was gone.Another hate of my old printer was that for photo quality it had 6 cartridges. It would nag me to replace a cartridge, and the next day would nag me to replace another one. Then another. The cartridges didn't seem to hold much ink, and what ink they did hold seemed to evaporate. I seemed to be continually changing cartridges, one at a time, and of course continually cleaning the heads to get decent quality. So at least with this Epson I can use genuine cartridges, a great price, and only refill very occasionally (as I say, after 2 years I've just refilled the black tank). Why only 4 star? The print quality is not very good on its standard setting (the setting where they boast 6000 pages for one bottle of ink and the speed of output). It is quite faint. So you have to set the Windows print quality to "High Quality", which means it prints relatively slowly and you'll never reach the 6000 pages of print on one bottle. Usually I'm in no hurry, but it can be annoying waiting sometimes. At least with "High Quality" I get the quality print I want. The Automated Document Feeder works as well as found on other printers I've owned -- i.e. it doesn't. If I try 2 or more sheets, it usually jams and I've tried everything to make it work reliably. The photo prints aren't nearly as good as on my previous Epson, although to be fair, that was a photo printer. But hey, who prints photos these days? The print quality for photos is "good enough", but if I ever want a real high quality print, then I can order these on-line as and when I need them.So all in all, a very good printer, a bit slow, photos only average, but it's removed all my frustrations on ink usage and head cleaning.

The main reason for this review is to confirm that this does fully borderless A4-which is not clear in product images or description (unlike the et7700 which clearly states this.)I've only had the product and already printed over 2000 pages so here are some other first impressions...The printer is smaller and lighter than I expected. I feels cheaply made-but has so far worked flawlessly. The ink filling system is very well designed. I didn't spill a drop. Viedeos etc. online can make this even clearer. The print speed is faster than I expected based on others reviews. I am printing a document with text and images, duplex. It prints around 4ppm including thepause before duplex. The large paper tray capacity and ink capacity mean that jobs can be left running. The only caveat is that the output tray only takes approc 40 pages before becoming full.I have used less than half of any of the inks on the 2000 mixed pages so far--many have quite a lot of colour. Of course--your mileage may vary but it seems very economical to me in comparison to any other printer I have used. It will work out roughly as cheap as using the very cheapest imitation/compatible cartridges I was previously using on a Canon Pixma (50p per cart) but it is good to be using official ink and not changing carts all the time.I haven't used the scanner yet, but the lack of auto duplex is a shame.Set up was easy but takes a while. Future re-fills of ink will be a doddle. It's about as noisy as other injets I have used-the main noise being the paper feed. For cheap high volume printing this seems just the ticket--unless the lifespan of the machine is low this will work out a big saving if you print a lot. If the machine breaks I'll update! The job I have printed hasn't been borderless-I just did one page to check.PS-I don't usually print 2000 pages a day-I've been saving up the job!

This is a great printer, I got the one with the three years worth of ink (2 sets of ink came with it) I can’t see how they can say the ink will last for 3 years as the black will go quicker than the colours (as my black is nearly done yet I have colours that I have not used yet) so I think they should have put in 2 sets of ink and an extra black refill to make sure that their quote of “WITH THREE YEARS WORTH OF INK INCLUDED” is justified but apart from that it is just the best printer I have ever had with the ease of refilling with no messy fingers, tip the ink up and nothing comes out until you put it in the ink tops on the machine and it will fill it until it does not need anymore, stops automatically, just lift the bottle off and store what’s left in for a later date, I saw that someone said it does not do duplex, I beg to differ, it DOES do duplex, you go into the settings and put it on two sided then it’s set for duplex all the time, if you want single again just set it back to single, if you get the manual and read up on how to do things then you would see how it is done, All in all this is the bees knees, best printer I have owned and I have had a few, ALL different and with cartridges that get empty and you do not notice until the print comes out without proper colours on it so you either have to order some more go out and buy some to finish your work, this printer you can see the ink and tell well before you run out to get some more ready to refill, hope this helps you in your looking for a good printer, and before anyone says anything, NO I HAVE NOT BEEN PUT UP BY EPSON TO SAY THESE THINGS, this is my own words about the machine, but I would not mind Epson sending me free stuff, like a bottle of black ink to make it 3 years of ink ???

This review is for the ET-4750 printer that replaces for me a Canon MX895- it is clear the packaging department have put a lot of thought into this. The printer itself was in a bag so it can be lifted out straight of the box and all the tapes had easy edges that could be removed- the new design for inserting the ink means you can not get the bottles mixed up and we did not spill any ink during installation- this printer is nice and compact- I was concerned the touch screen may be a little on the small side but it's extremely responsive and works well- all the connections are on the left rear of the printer- do check the Epson website for any extended warranty and cashback promotions- I'm not sure how I'm going to get close to the 20,000 pages to be printed in three years.Clearly I won't be buying ink anytime soon which to be fair seems to be reasonably priced for now.Points to note and the reason I dropped a star- I did not see any electronic way to slant the screen so have done it manually. This means it stays like that unless you adjust it again- I understand the ADF scanner does not do duplex. My previous Canon was half the price and had this feature.- Again comparing to the Canon the output tray does not come out automatically and has to be done manually- The Epson instructions advise against using the Airprint driver for MacOS however although I did not spend too much time on it, their instructions to replace with Epson software did not seem to work for me. FWIW, the Airprint driver installed automatically and seems perfectly fine. Also I'm happy not to have any Epson bloatware installed anyway.

Got this to replace an HP 7520 which had given 10 years good service but has finally died. The ET-4750 is smaller and neater and cheaper to run, the new HP's all seem to have a 3 colour ink cartridge so they were out of the running (1 colour runs out you throw 2 part ones away). Very easy to setup however the first printouts of photos were very disappointing as some others have commented. I found that when you print a photo the software default is for glossy photo paper, when you finally find the setting and switch to plain white paper the results are so much better, we think it has the edge on the old HP which was a photo printer. The plastic does feel more bendy than the old printer so I have dropped a couple of stars for durability though time will tell. The touch screen is very good but way too small, you have to be very precise when touching it. You have to remember this is not a £300 plus printer, you pay more for this than a cartridge printer but get your money back with low running costs. you can print 11200 pages in colour with the supplied ink so that works out at £0.028 per sheet. half the price of cartridge printers for the ink alone, I would say that this is equivalent to a £120-£150 cartridge printer. The attached photo is a scan of 2 printouts the top one was set for glossy paper and the bottom for plain, no other adjustments made. Hope this helps. Over all I can recommend this printer. Oh and there is a setting to make it a bit quieter, I think it slows the paper drive down a bit so maybe also makes it less prone to jam's.

My trusty Canon inkjet finally gave up the ghost earlier in the week, so it was time to search for a new printer. I used Which, online forums & customer reviews on Amazon. I was tempted to go for a laser printer but decided against due to cost considerations. I've always been fascinated by the Epson Ecotank system so I eventually decided to buy the 4750.As always, delivery by DPD was excellent & after carefully unpacking it I set about setting it up. Filling the ink tanks was straightforward & I then started the electronic set up using my laptop. All went well until I reached "printer discovery" where, after a considerable time, I received the message that no printer could be found. The installation software then gave me the option to use my router's WPS button & very quickly the setup was complete. All of the software quickly updated & phones & tablets now have the Epson iPrint App & all print easily. The quality is superb & printing is both faster and quieter than my old Canon. I love the way that the ink bottles automatically stop filling the reservoirs once they are full.So am I happy with my Epson? Too right I am & as long as it doesn't suffer any of the faults previously reported on Amazon then I will continue to be ecstatic.PS After writing this review I discovered that the 4750 qualified for an additional 2 years warranty on top of the original 1-year warranty. Application via the Epson website was straightforward & I now have a 3-year warranty. I'm happier than ever.

I bought this to replace and All in 1 HP that had died and will be using it for home office/family stuff.Overall seems to be pretty goodThe ink system is great and with the 2 batches of ink that come with this it is going to last a long time. This is going to be a cheap printer to run.Build quality, like everything else now, it's mainly plastic and is as good as one could expect from plastic.Print quality, overall seems pretty good. I bought some decent glossy photo paper and printed of a few photo's and was happy with the result. I am no expert but for the home office/ family printer more than acceptable.I have it hooked up to the network, no issues with installation or configuration. The "print on both sides" feature is great,so now am halving the sheets used per day. (My old one didnt have this feature)My one niggle is the main paper feed tray at the bottom. paper feed seems to be a bit hit and miss, The feed tray is an inch longer than A4, so when you load the paper into the tray there is room for it to move back and forth and there is no sliding bar to keep it pushed forward. I am having intermittent issues with the feed mechanism not always detecting the paper even where there is a decent wad in there. Having to push the paper forward or even take it all out and reload it. This isn't really major issue and if I was motivated more could easily be fixed by creating some form of a spring loaded spacer to keep the paper where it should be.

I have had a lot of printers at home over the years, from dot-matrix to inkjet to colour laser, all of which were fairly standard offerings where the printer was sold at a low price because all the profit is made on the cartridges.I was a little apprehensive about buying this printer as it does seem expensive relative to other inkjet printers on the market, however this printer is different due to its bulk ink-tank system which comes with two sets of ink.A significant difference with buying bulk ink is you can actually see what you are getting, with standard cartridges usually you can't tell how much ink is in the cartridge and how much of it is just padding.I've taken old cartridges apart before now to find that the ink container is sectioned off and half the cartridge volume is just hollow space which would explain why they didn't last long at all.The printer sounds and feels really well made and built to last - it seems up to the volume work of my old home laser printer, though being inkjet this one can also be used with glossy paper to print photos to an incredibly high standard. Not a unique feature these days but the support for borderless printing is also excellent - I don't see any degradation in quality towards the edges of the print. The scanner works well and includes an automatic document feeder.I would have no hesitation in recommending this printer - I believe it will save you money (and frustration) over its lifetime.

My days of replacing the bloody cartridges are over. Most of us have families and kids print a lot more than we do. I bought this about a year ago after my Kodak printer was frustrating me with ink cartridges being replaced every two weeks and fourth pages of print. When the print head dies on me I decided to do some research and came up with this. I put in the inks some 1 year ago and the ink has not. Dropped more than a smidge and I have been through four rims of paper so far . Kids are happy that daddy is not complaining and I can live witn it. Print quality is great unless you are looking to print money....it's a small reasonable size printer / scanner/photo copier and despite my computer not having an wifi card it's practical,to connect it using Ethernet or a seperate cable directly to the computer via a USB to c cable...printing is crisp enough for me and the e tea ink is a fantastic boon. I will probably die before the ink runs out....can't say I have printed any photos but I recon they will be good enough. Real, value for money. It does connect up wit wifi to all our devices including smart panhandle nes and epson provides facilities where your documents will be printed from where ever you are in the world straight to the printer. That's actually worth while.

Has been a worthy successor to our lovely old xp-800 which had finally become less and less reliable. Sad to see it go, as it has been a great support with endless homework printing for about 7 years. The new one was ready to set up, integrated easily with Windows and google cloud print. Ink reservoir system a little more fiddly to set up at first but just pay attention to the instructions and all with be well.Easy to use scanner to upload to the cloud, email etc. Scans to local W10 PC, using Epson app, if you have reservations about cloud document storage.Comes with plenty of ink, and we have hardly begun to use the first batch in the reservoir.Print quality is good giving reliable printing from day one. Some tuning of Chrome to get best print quality, initially it was printing in eco mode, so everything was very pale.Only gripe is the screen is not touch sensitive (I think the next model up with a fax has that, but I no longer need a fax) but otherwise it is all good from my perspective.Much quieter too, which is always good.I expect this one too last as long as the xp-800 and cost a lot less in ink.

I run a small charity from home and print approximately 7000 sheets per year. My Brother laser printer gave up the ghost this year and I was tempted by the Epson because of the savings to be made on printer ink/toners. So far, I am pleased with it - it's much smaller and lighter and can sit on my desk instead of having its own table. It's vastly more economical and will pay for itself before very long. The set-up was very easy and the wifi works well - I can print from my phone or from another laptop with no trouble. On the downside, the scanner is not double-sided - I knew this before purchasing but it would definitely have been useful. The top level feeder for the scanner has jammed a few times which is disappointing.Print quality is acceptable albeit slightly faded looking but the colours are better and sharper than on my laser printer. The main disadvantage is the printing speed, it was advertised as 20ppm in colour. Seriously, I'm getting just 2ppm when duplexing! Way slower than the Brother laser. However, if working slowly means it's less likely to jam then I suppose I'm not too unhappy with it.

The printer came with 8 bottles of ink. So even after filling completely there was 4 bottles left for another refill. The photo paper needs to be shiny side down (in the tray) as it goes round a roller to print. If it comes out blurry and wet to touch then the paper is upside down. Printed 250 colour photo's so far and the ink is 25% down. Not sure the 11000 is reachable but its going to take a while to find out. speed is great and wifi makes it a nice feature. But if you change from A4 paper to Photo's and then try and print its not going to happen, you need to go to the printer and accept the paper has changed. Also there is a software feature on the photo printing which allows you to have standard or high quality - Printed loads before finding this out and there is a difference.Go for the high setting. One real thing which should be noted is the A4 printing, if it takes one minute per sheet then the setting is probably glossy, change to A4 paper. Should get 18 per minute. Not sure its that quick but its quick enough for home use.

I purchased this printer because I do card making a lot. I have been using it for weeks now and printing high quality on 300gsm card. My previous workforce printers would have used 4 sets of replacement cartridges by now, this one has not begun to show signs that the ink is in need of refilling. Its design is so well thought out. I got a paper jam and it was so easy simply press 2 buttons on the rear panel and remove it then remove the paper. A previous review said that the PDF feed does not do duplex, sorry but it does and it does it very well. I am delighted that I can send prints from my other devices to it and it is a godsend when I need copies of business documents sent to me from 130 miles away, they simply send them to my printer from there and I have them. Its facilities to scan to computer and to e-mails as attachments is so useful. It has a setting to print borderless and 1 to remove punch hole marks. I could sing its praises all day but in short I am delighted I bought it and would be happy to recommend it to anyone

Having an older WP 4545 Epson printer that just went on and on it was a hard decision to make to replace it but the yellow ink had died and the colour quality was not true from screen to print so had to bite the bullet and start researching. There was so many different opinions and mixed reviews that confused the process of selection.I selected this machine and hoped for the best. I've been printing 20 - 30 pages a day for the last 4-5 weeks and must say it's been fine. Print quality is good - the machine doesn't take up as much room as the last one - the ink levels have hardly moved - the machine operates more quietly compared to the last one.Negatives: The machine itself looks and feelsinferior to the older generation but the end print result is equal - it has just one paper tray feed (excluding the rear feed where a few sheets can stand upright) which means that you need to refill the paper tray more often. Cant think of any other negatives so hope this is of help to you with your own decision making.

I have read most of the reviews for this printer, am a bit surprised at some of the problems mentioned, I have had one since Feb 2019, did 3098 sheets of printing before I had to top up, a lot of it was catalogue printing with colour pictures.People talk about slow two sided printing, mine has to be slowed down by unticking the High speed box in Preferences/More Options. One thing I have noticed with these echo tank printers unlike in cartridge printers you have to tell them the print quality you want, if you don't then yes the quality is bad, don't forget these printers are made to be stingy on ink, so you have to tell it otherwise.Mine has done now over 6000 printing pages, plus a lot both sides,on plain paper, so far I cant really fault it, if some one reads this and buys a echo tank by Epson just remember when you print you have to tell it what you want otherwise it just prints in factory default, and that's set to use least amount of ink possible.
