This review is for pour over coffee drinkers. I have used bottled water for V60 pour overs and can confirm that the filters produce a good water profile for coffee extraction. To begin with the water gives a very soft clean cup, meaning you may wish to up ratios from say 15g/250g to 16g/250g to bring out some acidity. All in all I would say that the water is nice, but not the holy grail. Far better than coffee shop heavily salty water for sure. I am very critical and this is phd style geekiness.I got mine for Christmas and have used for Gong Fu brewing too, which makes amazing black tea (from Mei Leaf). It has been used heavily as I have been off work (multiple 4-500ml brews, Chemexes, tea etc)

After years using Brita filtered water for my espresso machine basically to protect the machine boilers from contamination even though I am fortunate to live in a soft water area i read articles indicating that espresso would extract and taste better if there was certain amount of magnesium in the water. BWT filters introduce magnesium and I can confirm that the espresso is tasting more rounded than it did with the Brita filters.

Gives our tap water Evian taste (slightly creamy but also amazingly refreshing and satisfying) and gives coffee an extra sparkle in the cup (when using actual coffee, don't expect any difference with instant).Not recommended for tea drinkers, magnesium and tea don't like each other very much - or so I've been told!Fits brita water jugs as well so easy to make the switch from Brita to these

Cant believe how good these are. Very poor water quality here & I never drink direct from the tap, ever. I also enjoy Evian bottled water so have been really surprised and pleased that these filters make the tap water 'great' to drink. I can see my purchases of bottled water decreasing significantly. They are just in a different league to the named brand most people recognise.

I really like these water filters. Easy to use with the jug, I replace every four weeks. Keep the jug in the fridge and drink lovely cold, great tasting water everyday. Chilled water always tastes better to me but having tried without the filter I do think that chilled filtered water does taste better so worth the money.

Happy with my purchase and the price.After looking at various filter systems I plumped for this one as I liked the idea of putting magnesium into the water.Aside from that the filtered water is much better than my hard tap water and hopefully will reduce scaling significantly.

I’m not a big fan of tap water but my two dogs wouldn’t drink ours - which smells like a swimming pool - and kept lapping pathetically at muddy puddles the moment we went out. These filters make the water so much nicer tasting even I drink it now and the dogs are much happier!

I moved from Brita to BTW since I tasted the water at a show and I have to admit the taste is amazing. Reminds me of drinking water from Portugal.Many may say water has no taste but I will not and have not drunk tap water for a long time and will never go back to it either.

I bought these when I got my jug, and found when I came to use the first one, it was slightly bitter in taste. The second one, I decided to let it sit in water at first for 15 mins not 5 mins as it instructs, and the taste was much better.

Water filtered with these tastes much better than with the regular brita filters. I decided to buy these because I usually lack magnesium and get leg cramps + our tap water is horrible if not filtered and I will certainly buy again.

The water in our area is good, however, it has a slight aftertaste if you have a glass straight from the tap, now with these filters, we have untainted fresh cool water straight from the filter jug kept in the fridge.

This is great. I was a bit sceptical that the water would match up to my favourite Evian, but it does, right to the end of the filter life. Brita doesn't hold a candle to the taste. Would thouroughly recommend

Makes water great tasting similar to Fiji water.Small print: To maintain the water quality,it has to be left in a hot boiling water once a week for 3 minutes plus every 4 weeks it has to be changed.

It gives the water a bit of a 'tang' which - for me - is very tasty. The price may seem a bit steep, but works out at £1/week, less if you use a cartridge for a bit over the 4 weeks recommended.

We have been using the BWT filter cartridges for a few months now and can definitely feel the difference in drinking water, both in flavour and freshness. Durability is great.
