I've always been a fan of Eheim filters having used their larger filters on a marine tank I used to own. I now have a small wall mounted tropical tank holding approximately 35 litres. The Eheim 45 does the job perfectly. I particularly like the plug which has a 2-pin hidden inside the 3-pin plug. This was much needed as my wall mounted tank only accepts 2-pin plugs and negates the need for cutting the plug off as with inferior filters. It just works!

I love this filter, for years battled with the rubbish Juwel filter , tired a Rena too it was annoying too, finally a few years back got a Eheim only downside is it can be annoying (suction pads wear out and are annoying to find / expensive too). Sadly loads of pet shops I can get to don't stock these so had to go online.

Have recently tried some compatible cartridges, as they were 6 for £9.50. The old saying that you get what you pay for was certainly true, as they weren't a patch on the genuine Eheim ones. Which is why I re-ordered the real deal.

Does a good job. Had to cut the block in two so as to mix the old sponge bacteria with it. Would be better if the sponge was already cut in half. Not good to put a clean sponge straight into the filter.

first class good price for the replacement cartridges forthe filter.would order again as company supplied in good time.if you looking for replacement cartridges this is a good place to order from

Not too much that you can say about a foam replacement filter except that it does the job it was intended to do. Always better to get a genuine replacement.

Great value. Bought 5 packs of the pick up 160 @ Amazon warehouse for £2.55 each (inc special 30% discount)All were brand new with a tatty box.

Great. Best filter for smaller tanks. I can breed my guppy family if I use these filters. The sponge usually lasts 6 months upwards to a year.

GREAT, QUICK DELIVERY AND EXACTLY WHAT IT IS IN THE PICTURE. NOT SURE WHAT ELSE I CAN SAY LOL AFTER ALL THEY ARE ONLY FILTER PADS!

Despite checking model numbels off my pump to match these filters,they don't fill the canister fully as did the one I replaced..

I change the sponge (as I call it) about every 3 months, and I could probably leave it a bit longer - so they do the job!

Hope these last as long as the original sponge that came with the filter. They are excellent value for money.
