Belkin DURATEK PLUS LIGHTNING TO USB-A CABLE,10',BLKThe title of this Belkin “Lightening to USB” charging cable says it all but does not describe it properly. This is a 10ft charge cable built to withstand an earth quake and outlast the Pyramids ! It shouts quality from one end to the other and will last as long as you will need it but for that you will need to spend £30.00 If you think top quality is worth that amount for an iphone/ipad charge cable then this is for you.Firstly the packaging is compatible with such quality being a box with a magnetic front flap. Inside is a description listing all the virtues, all of which are completely justified for this is the strongest, well made charge cable I have come across. The cable itself is encased in a thick woven surround, the ends are engineered and cased in heavy plastic to resist any breakage or fraying. There is a leather strap (with Belkin logo embossed) fixed at one end to allow the cable to be set and held at the required length.Wonderful but do you really all need this ? I guess it depends on how long your cables last. I have some third party charge cables that are still as good as new and they are nearly three years old. They cost under £10, had no fancy packing (bought on line not through a retail outlet so did not need packaging) and do the job well. Could this have anything to do with treating them properly and not pulling the Lightening connection out of the phone from half way up the cable ?The leather strap is useful because a 10ft cable loose can cause problems but have you ever tried a thick rubber band ? It holds the cable just as well and does not ramp up the cost. The cable is thick, stiff and so well covered that coiling it for the strap is like coiling a hose pipe on a cold day – it loops in the direction it wants to go and not in the direction you want. This cable justifiably carries a 5 year warranty...you will never need it but for £30 it helps justify the price tag. What I am saying is that this is a great piece of kit, probably the best I have come across. All the features make this so and the strength is undeniable and if you are hard on cables - buy it, you will have no regrets. It will be great as a phone charger in your Bentley or Range Rover and be totally at home with that level of quality...just a little “over the top”.I cannot stress enough that this is a top quality cable...you decide whether you have £30 to spend and if you do don't hesitate, just get one.5 star less one for the price point = 4 star overall but 6 star for the cable.

The Belkin Boost Charge USB-C to Lightning Cable is a premium durable cable that allows you to connect, charge and sync lightning connector Apple Devices to USB-C chargers and computers.Having a direct USB-C to Lightning connection means I can connect my iPhone directly to my MacBook Pro 2018 without any adaptors or dongles. I have noticed that charging and data transfers are much faster – which is due to the cable supporting USB 3 standards instead of a normal Apple Lighting Cable that only support USB 2. I also hooked up the cable to my MacBook Pro 61-watt charger directly to test Apples fast charging feature with my iPhone 10S Max,and it worked without any problems. The cable does have the added benefit of being 4ft/1.2m long instead of 3ft/1m long, which is slightly longer than a normal lightning cable but not by much. The cable itself feels strong and well built, the aramid fibres are tightly woven around the core of the cable, and whilst the cable is bendable its quite ridged and tends to retain its shape, which is useful if you’re routing it around your bedside table. The box it comes in has a magnetic flap that lets you peer in and see the design of the cable – which honestly, I think is totally pointless but it’s part of the ‘premium Belkin experience’.At the end of the day you get what you pay for. You get a premium package and unboxing experience, a genuine leather strap with stainless steel clip for neat storage and presentation, full R&D with vigorous testing, laser-welded connectors, aramid fibre materials, and guaranteed MFi-Certified compatibility for your Apple Devices. The cable offers a 5-year warranty which sounds great – but alternative manufacturers offer lifetime warranties, MFi Certification and longer cables which are still extremely durable for far less money. Overall, I’d highly recommend this cable if price is no object to you, but for everyone else there are much cheaper alternatives. If you found the photos & this review helpful, please consider clicking on the helpful button below, it helps me out!

Let's get the basics out of the way first - this is a usefully long 3m lightning to USB-A cable to charge any of your iDevices, is MFI (i.e. Apple) certified to guarantee full compatibility (and so avoid any annoying "not supported" notifications), has an impressive 5-year warranty, features a neat integrated leather cable strap, and is covered with a pleasant premium feeling fabric-like material (described as "Aramid fibers" on the box) which is claimed to resist fraying and be "10x stronger than standard cables*". Exactly what they mean by standard cables though I don't know (Apple's own lightning cables, or cheap 3rd-party?) since at the time of writing there is no matching footnote for the asterisk on the Amazon product page.So far, fantastic and given the established and respected manufacturer of this cable and its price you won't be surprised to hear that it oozes quality. But I do have to question the worth of a couple of its slightly OTT (to me at least) premium features. The first of the two culprits is the integrated leather cable strap. Does anyone really care what their cable strap is made of, so long as it functions effectively? The second being that the box has a front window flap which features a magnet to hold it closed. A magnetised window flap on a cable box...why? I guess so that you can see what you're spending all that money on...except that nobody buys products like these in physical shops anymore so won't see it until they've actually bought it.I'm probably missing the point with these questions though. After all, what price luxury?Overall then, recommended if you can justify the upfront cost. If you factor how many cheaper cables you might normally get through in the 5 year warranty period, this Belkin cable doesn't seem quite so expensive. Just pray that you don't leave it in a hotel room, or even worse that Apple don't move away from the lightning connector in the next couple of years!

This Belkin Boost Charge USB-C to Lightning cable is the most handsome cable I ever owned, if that matters, but it isn’t just a pretty face and it charges fast too. It’s got an ‘eco’ look and feel with the dark chocolate brown colouring and the natural feel to the braided sheath on the cable itself. The connectors at each end have a speckled ‘recycled’ look too but I don’t believe they are recycled, or Belkin would be crowing about it, so it’s probably a style affectation. The braided cover isn’t recycled either and is made with Aramid fibre, a heatproof fibre used in bullet-proofed vests and bicycle tyres, but it looks the part. Keeping it all coiled neatly is a little leather strap which,of course, is embossed with the Belkin logotype. It’s a good length too and the cable is reasonably soft and pliable, more than some braided cables which can be very stiff. All together the smartest looking cable. It seems to be smart on the inside too and whatever clever silicone-chippery needs to be inside cables to keep Apple happy seems to be in here. This cable charges my iPad noticeably faster than almost all of my other Lightning cables and not just when used with the official Apple charger. I’ve been using it with a USB-C equipped power bank and it fills up my iPad faster than with any other cable I’ve tried. It’s somewhat annoying that you have to spend this kind of money on high-end or official Apple cables to get the best charge and data speeds but what can you do? At least this cable looks like you spent money on it and if good-looking cables are important to you then this one’s a runway model.

The Belkin 1.2m (4ft) Lightning to USB-C Charge and Sync Cable is a little bit longer than some others and it has a tough woven covering which ensures the cable is durable and remains tangle-free in use. The plugs are securely attached to the cable ends with strong strain-relief joints, and are well engineered for repeated use with their laser-welded connectors. This top quality cable enables faster charging than some other brands, it works fine for data syncing and has complete charge and sync compatibility with most modern iPhones and iPads as it carries the MFI Approved “Made for” Apple certification. Lightning cables should contain a unique, verified serial number and an authorization chip issued by Apple to ensure 100% compatibility with any Lightning connector. This new cable from Belkin is recommended to anyone looking for a replacement for an original Apple cable, or just for use as a spare - it is one of the best quality Lightning cables I have used so far and seems to be a genuine five star cable that is built to last. As well as this version there are other cables on the same Amazon product page with reviews for all of them grouped together – mine is the Lightning to USB-C Cable, 4ft/1.2m, White. At around thirty pounds currently from Amazon this is certainly not the cheapest Lightning cable available but you do get what you pay for with this top brand. The cable gets five stars for design and build quality – but it is quite a bit more expensive than even Apple's own cable so the price may not suit everyone.

The Belkin Duratek Plus Lightning USB Charging Cable is a good quality 'black braided' mobile phone charger that is compatible with various Apple products including iPads, iPods and iPhones. The length of the cable is about three metres which is long enough for my husband to be able to sit in his armchair using his iPhone 7 as it is being charged (although he does have a plug socket at arms length of his chair). This cable appears to be very strong and comes with an impressive 5 year guarantee. At one end of the cable is the USB connector and the other end of the cable has the lightning cable. These look extremely well made and strongly attached. The lightning connector is of the slim design and this makes it suitable for charging your iPhone through the slot in an iPhone case.We have so far used this cable to charge an iPhone 6 and 7, an iPad Pro and an iPod. Charging is fairly quick and it takes on average about two hours, however this can change significantly depending on the quality of your USB charging plug.Having a house full of teenagers we are forever losing our charging cables (it seems as though they must be being eaten by something as they disappear on a regular basis). This cable has already been grabbed by one of our sons and he has been using it to charge his iPhone 8 most evenings. This cable charges very quickly and our son has to be careful as this cable is very likely to be 'magically' moved from our eldest son's room to his younger brother's room at any moment.

I think I've used Belkin products since I first made a move towards 'Apple' products, which'd probably date back to my first iPod (yes, remember those?) Anyway, it's a name that I trust and this little product certainly doesn't disappoint. For anyone that's had a 'Genuine Lightening Cable' for any length of time will know, they tend to break just where the cable meets the end / socket. Belkin tries to avoid this, rather neatly, with a combination of a longer, tapered, 'tail' to their sockets and the (rather nice) aramid reinforced cable covering.Short of crush or kinks, it should last well, as there's some physical resistance to it getting 'pinched'.There's a neat little leather storage strap as well, which keeps everything tucked away nicely, and saves from thing getting tangles up, should you keep it in a drawer, pocket or bottom of a bag.Depending on your point of view / needs, the cable length is perhaps the only questionable thing as, at 3 meters (a little over 6' in old money) it's quite long.To be fair though, I've immediately found it to be a bonus, as I can get this to run from my desk, across the surface and down the back to the USB socket, with plenty of cable to spare. All of which can then be kept in check with the leather strap. The extra cable length does make it a little bulkier, and heavier, but the benefits might well outweigh any disadvantages (unless you want to keep it tucked in a jeans pocket, in which case it's a bit awkward).

The Belkin Duratek series of cables are a thing of beauty. They ooze quality, from the moment you see the box, to the sneak peak when you open the flap and look through the plastic cut out and then hold the cable itself. This particular cable features a very retro looking brown genuine leather strap that keeps the cable tidy when not in use. It looks really smart and is an ideal companion for a traditional leather briefcase or leather iPhone caseBelkin have put a lot of effort into creating a “bulletproof” cable, so what better material to use than Aramid, also known as Kevlar, to reinforce the delicate wiring within the cable, a material used in bullet proof vests since the 1970s.Anyone who has children will know that cables for their portable devices tend to develop wrinkles at the junction between the cable and its end connection. This cable has been engineered with strain relief at this junction whilst the connectors themselves are laser welded. The cable comes with a 5 year warranty so should outlast most of the Apple devices that use Lightning connectors. In practice, the cable works perfectly and is a pleasure to use and keep in my briefcase. I have used Belkin cables for many years and have always found them to be more durable than Apple original cables. They are more expensive but the quality is worth it.

I spend so much on USB C Cables my children and grandchildren are forever losing them , or they just aren't good enough and die within a few weeks .When I saw this available to review for Vine I jumped at the chance .It arrived in an amazon Branded cardboard envelope via Hermes . The delivery driver was very pleasant .On opening it up the first thing to notice is that it is made by Belkin , not a brand I have purchased much from in the past , although I am aware if their name .The packaging states that the USB C Cable measures 4 ft or 1.2 metersIt comes with a 5 year warranty and is compatible with a number of Apple products .This is also a great idea as my children/grandchildren have a multitude of Apple branded products .The cable itself isn't made from the usual plastic , it is corded /Braided which I'm hoping means that the inside electronics last a lot longer and that it doesn't stop working because it's been bent into the wrong position .Please note I am writing this review on my impressions of the products suitability for my families needs .It does seem very expensive at £30 but with the included warranty it could end up being a lot cheaper than constantly replacing cables . On this basis I am happy to recommend .

Let’s be honest most charger cables don’t last long before fraying or exposing wires due to the manhandling and the lack of a handle to remove the cord means the join between the lightning bit and the wire gets stressed every time you remove after charging. This is an excellent way to deal with that annoying unraveling situation with a knitted/braided texture over the internal wires giving it both tensile strength and durability. Yes it’s expensive but you will go through loads of cheaper (and not necessarily approved) cords before you wear this one out.I also like the little leather strap for keeping it tidy when out and about or travelling or when you don’t want wires trailing everywhere. You also get another 30cm/foot of length compared to the standard 90cm/3ft cable which can make all the difference if you have an older home where electricians seemed to think one plug socket will do for an entire room! This is worth the money for the value and longevity you get but is a bit of a gasp for a charger cord- then again considering how dependent we are unless lucky enough to have a wireless charging model!

I’m sure like me, you have had numerous lightening cables that have let you down. Repeated strain, damaged outer sleeve, worn contacts etc. The high usage of these cables suggests a potentially limited lifespan. This Belkin cable addresses these problems by using high quality, durable materials which they advertise as 10x stronger than standard. When you feel the premium cable used on this product, it is easy to believe this claim. The connections follow the durable feel, using slightly larger flex resistant strain relief, which are easier to handle and feel solid. The cable length at 3 mtr is also useful where plug sockets are sometimes awkwardly placed in hotel rooms or office desks. This can be be left coiled and neatly held together with the integral leather strap when the extra length is not required though.I have no doubt this cable will outlast my current phone, and several years after - assuming apple stick with the lightening connector! It’s a little pricey for the initial purchase, but for the longevity likely to be seen, I would say it’s a far better purchase than the equivalent OEM cable.

If you've been putting up with short lightning charging cables for years, at home and at the desk, and had felt frustrated with it, this cable could be the answer. It's a massive 3 metres – the longest lightning cable I've seen, and actually longer than the USB-C cable which charges my MacBook. It's great to not have to rely on my MacBook being open to charge my phone, where no I can snake the cable from the USB plug on the floor, around my desk and up onto the surface easily.Out of the packaging it unfurls easily, and the "leather" pop button strap is a nice idea, because 3 metres of cable rolled up is quite thick. The cable itself is thick too – at 5 mm – with the weave of the material looking like it'll last years, not to mention the extended plastic ends, which means there will be no snapping of the cable at those ends, which you see a lot with Apple's own cables and especially the cheap alternatives.Apple's cables quality have taken a dip in recent years, and they break easily. Belkin have the better cables now, and this in particular is a great one.

Just what you expect from Belkin is outstanding quality. Even though their products seem pricey in the long run I find them good value for the quality of materials and how long their products last.I have bought numerous iPad/iPhone cables, even the originals that come with your iPhones etc do not last as shown in the picture. The end is splitting and so is the wire. I have had a few where the ends break off. The little ends are hard to grab and pull out on some occasions, but the end on this Belkin one is much bigger and better to get hold of and the quality shows in touch and look. The wire is three times thicker and stronger and will last years. The length is 10ft which is great if nowhere need a plug or USB socket and want to recharge,it can be wrapped back up and tied with the leather strap and press stud to keep the extra length neat and tidy when not needed. Also comes in black and other lengths. It charges up iPad/iPhone really quickly, seemed faster than the original cable.

This is what sold me on trying this charger:1. Fast Charge feature on your iPhone 8 or later—charging up to 50% in 30 minutes when paired with an 18W or higher USB-C power adaptor. **”2. Strengthened inside and out, DuraTek cables last 10x longer than standard cables*. Laser-welded connectors resist breakage while Aramid fibres and a tightly woven jacket come together for a supremely-durable cable. When it arrived, I could see it was quality and that the cable is thick and woven. It looks like it will live up to its promise of lasting many years – which will make a nice change to the standard charge cables that always fray near the charging port of your iPhone. It looks sleek and elegant and the handy clasp keeps the long cord all nice and tidy.Ideal to use at work and home.As for the price – I think it justifies the quality and considering I have paid similar for an official iPhone charger, will be well worth it if it lasts longer!

The humble lightning usb cable - a cable you turn to when your iPhone/ipad is gloriously low on power. i think you will only appreciate this cable when you really need it. On a recent hospital trip I had to use this cable with a power bank as we could not get access to a plug. The cable was able to survive being thrown around the bottom of my bag whilst being passed around various members of the family who needed a charge. I still think it's expensive but it is a one time purchase - it won't need replacing as it's appears much more solid than previous lightning cables that i've had. so if you do find a reliable power bank to pair the cable with then you have your emergency power supply available.Poor quality cables are not good value if they are cheap but need replacing constantly - it's a false economy. In short - you want a problem sorting then get this rugged hard working (bit expensive mind) cable.
