Whether he is calmer I’m not sure. The 30ml Beaphar Cat Comfort Calming Spray does smell strongly ‘chemical’ to start with, but does settle down to a much softer more pleasant scent. I tried it on a towel I've used to dry my cat from the rain, he sniffed at it with some interest then ate his food next to it before casually wandering off for a sleep. He hasn’t got a vet appointment currently but does get very upset when a neighbouring cat visits our driveway. He’s almost 14 and has problems with his joints but with meds can still run around when he feels like pulling on the bottom step carpet as he goes into his ‘crazy cat mode’ (you know ears back large round eyes)

We normally use a bigger branded product as a cat calming spray, so were intrigued as to whether a cheaper, lesser-known brand would work as well.This Beaphar calming spray is a lot smaller in size than our usual brand. This makes it convenient for travel, however it's clearly not going to last as long or cover as wide an area.The box suggests spraying on cat flaps. We've done this and, in fairness, haven't noticed a significant amount of difference over the usual brand. Both our cats have been quite anxious of the cat flap recently, however they are using it OK at the moment, so perhaps it does help a little?Only time will tell whether this will also act as an anti-spraying aid.

Our cat scratches our stairs a lot. He particularly likes 3 out of 12 steps for some reason.At first the spray has a strong smell of alcohol, but it goes away writhing a few minutes.When I sprayed the pheromones on the stairs he appeared scared and dissorientated.But I can confirm he did not try to scratch the stairs recently.I have also sprayed it on a cat flap as he seems to take a long time to go out recently. Constantly observing the flap before using it, but that seemed to have opposite than desired effect.He won't use a cat flap at all now. He is just waiting for me to open the door for him.I guess the pheromones have different effect on each cat,

I think that this has been really helpful with our cat's trips to the vets, but it's hard to know. We picked up our cat from a rescue centre last month and we used this spray on the blanket in the cat carrier before we picked him up. He meowed a bit when he first got in, but he was quite calm - he was just a little vocal, but that is much better than if he had been struggling and scrabbling around. After about 10 mins in the carrier, he settled and only made a few noises for the rest of the journey. The first trip to the vets with him was very similar - calming after about 10 mins in the carrier with the blanket.The spray itself is very pungent when you first spray it - smelling of strong spirit/alcohol and I'm not a fan of that,

Our cat has had to visit the vet a few times lately and the journey there is accompanied by his wailing and the journey home sees him drooling profusely. After an even more stressful journey a few days ago, I wanted to see whether anything would help calm him. I've tried another spray before and it made no difference, so I was sceptical.This was another thing altogether.I sprayed his little blanket before we left and there was no meowing on the way there and he was great with the vet nurse too. When we got home, there was no drool in sight. It's amazing.Whether it's the same for all cats I don't know, but it worked like magic for him. Thank you Beaphar x

Really useful to spray in pet carriers (do this 15 mins before needed) if your cat is going to the vets or on a tripIf your cat is effect by stress this spray can be very usefulI also spray a little around there beds during bonfire nightIt also state that it can help prevent marking or unwanted spraying (but can't give my view on this as my cats don't do this).Comes in handy pocket size spray bottle 30mlSpray lasts for about 5hrsWould recommend

Easy to use cat calming pheromone spray that can be used fir a variety of ways to calm the cat.Can be used in the home to soothe and settle behaviour and avoid antisocial spraying or clawing or anxiety from new surroundings , fireworks , or from travel and to soothe fur vets trips. Sadly it seems an individual thing and doesn’t work for all cats but luckily ours is ok with it !

One of our cats got extremely panicky at his last routine check up; the vet noted how his heart was racing. Thanks to the Beophar Cat Comfort spray in his carrier before we left,he did seem a bit calmer this time, although he was still a bit agitated. So,it seemed to worked fairly well, and it works out about the same price as other sprays,although it's a smaller size than most.

Having been stunned with the effect the ? spray had on our little Miss Hysterical, we decided to use the same spray for the hunter. Although my ? is perfect when travelling, she is used to her carrier, but she keeps on going into some crazy run arounds for no particular reason. We just spray it in the air to calm her down and it seems to work. So....worth a try.

It helps reduce unwanted behaviour. Ideal for use all year round, and suitable for everyday stresses and events such as fireworks, vet appointments,,, Ideal to use at home or when travelling, just spray inside of an empty cat carrier 15 minutes before the journey will help your cat feel less anxious.DO NOT SPRAY DIRECTLY on a cat.Great buy, highly recommended

Beaphar CatComfort Calming Spray is a simple and effective solution to reducing problem behaviour in cats, such as inappropriate scratching and urination, or general feelings of anxiety. I tried it on my cars when I took them to veterinary and works perfect! My cats have been really nice and calm.Is a great value for money and I will definitely recommend it!

Delivered in an Amazon branded cardboard envelope .I got this for a friend who has a rescue Maine Coon Cat . She's really happy with it , she's sprayed it on the furniture to stop him from scratching and so far so good .

I spray cat carrier when going to vets it does help to calm her because I've used it since she was kitten my cat likes to come out of carrier when travelling isn't afraid

No dislikes. Received it day after I ordered it. Well impressed thought that was only one bottle until I opened it was 3 bottles.

Smaller than expected, has a strange smell but I think it works to calm her, doesn’t prevent screaming
