My partner and I recently decided to rehome a rescue cat at a local cat rescue centre, and ended up bringing a beautiful four year old tabby boy called Ted back home with us to stay. We decided to rescue him in particular because, while we could've went for one of the more confident, purring, friendly mogs in the centre, he looked so sad, stressed and terrified that we just couldn't have left him there. Ted was a stray that had been caught in Penicuik and he appeared to be a very gentle soul.We weren't too sure how well he was going to adapt to living in our house, but it became apparent the moment we opened the cat carrier and let him out - as he shot out of the carrier like a greased otterand disappeared below my bedroom wardrobe - that he was a very stressed and timid cat.The word 'timid', in fact, is perhaps not very appropriate, for Ted was far beyond that. He was absolutely terrified of us, which would imply that he has been abused by someone at some point in his life, so my partner and I decided to investigate ways to try and get him to relax a bit. We initially bought the Feliway plug-in diffusers, which made him relax a little, but it wasn't until we bought one of these sprays that we saw the biggest change in him.Prior to using the spray, it was absolutely impossible to get close to him. Even when putting bowls of food out for him, he ran away or vanished beneath the wardrobe. We sprayed some of this stuff in the area just in front of the wardrobe where he normally lurks and the rug close to it and we began to see him start to relax. It was subtle at first, but there was definitely an improvement. We've had him almost six weeks now, and the changes in him are very evident now. He's hiding beneath the wardrobe less often and is spending a lot of time sprawling around on the area we sprayed and the hallway. We've still not been able to touch him (that's going to take some time), but we can occasionally get surprisingly close to him. For the past couple of nights, I've even been able to play with him using one of those 'mouse on a string' toys, so he's slowly but surely starting to trust us. We spray a few puffs of this stuff on the same areas every morning and we're very. very impressed by how effective it has been.Would definitely recommend!

My cat has terminal kidney disease and gets very agitated and anxious. He is now house bound having been free all his life and is ex feral so doesn't take kindly to incarceration which is necessary due to his health. I was at my wits end but remembered that spray and plugins I had bought earlier in the year for my mum's cat who came to live with us. I reordered. The plugins are doing there stuff I suppose but the spray has made an enormous difference to my sick cats temperament and he is much calmer. I use a lot of it and it's sprayed on his blanket he sits on on the window sill. The first bottle arrived cracked and leaking and I rang customer services and a replacement was sent and that arrived safe and in one piece today (4 days).I think the packaging could be a little better as it was packaged like a book and the package is actually three bottles so there should be better padding. It is too thick for a letter box anyway.

We moved house last week and it came as a great shock to our 8 year old normally placid cat. She had to stay in the bathroom during the day for 4 days while men moved furniture in and out and made noise and smells. She had to tolerate 2 hours in the car which she hates and now she cannot go out for few weeks in case she tries to go back to the old house. By the time I arrived after 48 hours she was distressed. Within 12 hours of me obtaining Feliway and spraying it around the house at her level she had settled down and is so placid now she has not yet made any attempt to leave the house. In a couple more weeks we plan to encourage her to go out and will be using the Feliway around the immediate outdoor areas. We are delighted with the change in her as she explores the house and finds special places to bask in the sun. Too much of a coincidence not to be due to this product which we highly recommend.

Feliway is one of those iconic products that is recommended throughout the country, both by vets and by cat owners. It is useful for making cats feel less stressed in a variety of different situations. We have a multi-cat household so have the diffuser on subscribe and save. However, the spray was recommended to me as a useful way of calming down stress hotspots, such as near food bowls. I’ve been using this for a month now and I can honestly say it seems to have calmed down the stress problems we were having in the house. The only problem is that it is so expensive. It comes in a small little bottle which, if you have several stress areas in your house, doesn’t last very long at all. So yes,I would definitely recommend it for stressed cats (after making sure with a vet that the problem isn’t physical first), but it’s a shame that it’s so expensive.

It seems to work on random places of interest. So for example when the cat is walking around the house looking for a soft spot to pee in because he can't be bothered to use the litterbox - if you sprayed your sofa he will stay away from it.It won't however stop him from playing in the area. So for example if your cat loves to destroy your shoes this spray won't stop him from tearing the place apart. Obviously your experience may vary.Pros: works for pee/poop issues, lowers cat's interest of the areaCons: won't stop destructive play, expensive, sometimes hard to use on a surface if your cat doesn't want to leave the area (it's toxic so can't spray near the cat)Overall it's a good product butoverpriced and overhyped.

I was very skeptical about this product as i had tried the Feliway Diffuser with no discernable effect. my six year old neutered male cat is extremely anxious and as more and more neighbourhood cats come into his garden he has started spraying in every room in the house. I heard from one of my neighbours that the spray was more effective and indeed it is! He is noticeably much calmer and in the week i have been using it we have only seen him spray indoors once. Our problem is the cost of spraying as we have a very large house and probably why one diffuser was no use. I will be ordering more of this spray and would certainly recommend it based on my experience.

I've always had good success when using Feliway. The spray is very useful for keeping a cat calm for a vet visit. I give a short spray to the carrier in each corner, and also the top. (My pet carrier is the fabric type, so may absorb better than the rigid plastic type.) I'll always provide a blanket to the bottom,so a short spray on that too. It does tend to catch in my throat, so I put the carrier in a spare room and hold my breath when applying! This is done about an hour before putting puss inside as it's effective for four to five hours. Apart from a bit of agitation on the way, once there she's as quiet as a mouse, and on the way back no problems either.

Took almost no time to make a massive difference to our two cats. We had a pair of sisters, one of which was run over. Remaining one was very miserable so we bought her a new sister. Naturally this was always going to be tricky getting the two to get on, it wasn't going well after a week of very slowly getting them used to each other, so bought this stuff and a few of the plugin jobbies and within 2 days the cat and the kitten were sleeping in the room, a week later sharing a basket. We ran out about six weeks in and I worried that we'd need more but actually they just get on now after such a good initial period and we haven't needed anymore.

I have only given it 4 stars as only used it for one day but it does seem to have worked, I have a very nervous Sphynx cat that runs for the back of the sofa the minute some one other than my husband and me enter the room and even with us unless she is in her bed she can be quite spiky. Spayed her bedding and the general air got up this morning to being greeted at the door from her and was able to pick her up for a cuddle. It does seem to have taken the "edge" off her nerves and that is just day one. If putting in a carrier I would say dont spray then put icat in, spray at least 10-15 minutes first to allow it to get in the air

My cats have suffered with idiopathic cystitis for a couple of years now and I have started to use this Feliway spray and the diffuser too. It made a big difference. The spray combats the cats feeling of anxiety immediately and the diffuser helps to keep them feeling settled after the cystitis has gone. Spray the Feliway wherever the cats have urinated (after you've cleaned it up), and the cat won't want to spray there. If they spray in that area on a regular basis, you may need to repeat the Feliway on a regular basis for a few days. Great product and highly recommended to people whose cats suffer cystitis.

My cat is terrified of fireworks and, unfortunately, where I live it is a constant problem during the winter months so I decided to try Feliway. On Halloween night I sprayed some Feliway on his bedding - which is now under the shelter of the coffee table - and when the fireworks were banging and whizzing outside he was relaxed. Normally he slinks about or hides under the bed and simply can't relax but this time - and for the first time - he slept through the whole thing, just opening his eyes occasionally when it was especially loud. I'd recommend it. I'm so relieved for him.

Purchased for when I take my lovely cat to the vet as he becomes a bit stressed en route. I spray the solution in the cat carrier about 20 minutes before the journey. He seemed only slightly anxious at the start but definitely appeared more relaxed just a short while afterwards. In the vet's waiting area he actually laid down in his carrier and wasn't bothered at all - I give lots of reassurance and stroking. I will use Feliway again for any future journeys we have to make (hopefully not too many) and would recommend - especially over using any drugs to relax your cat.

Bought this to stop my cat from scratching the furniture. Sprayed it as indicated and, to my surprise, it appears to work. There is a lot less scratching and the cat appears more relaxed. There was no marking or stains on the wooden furniture or carpet. One thing I did notice was that it is best to spray the area and then leave the room to let any the spray settle as I found that it got into my throat and made me cough if I stayed in the room straight after spraying - this may not happen with everyone.Bought the 60ml as it worked out to be better value for money.

I bought both the spray and the diffuser. The products arrived on time and were as stated in the description. My two cats seem to think that they are in the domain of another cat, and they are not dominant anymore, so they have stopped fighting, eating houseplants, climbing curtains, its a miracle! I turned the diffuser off for a while just to check and sure enough the bad behaviour started again. I have used the spray on specific items, like the curtains and base of the plants, doorways, and the diffuser is in another room, together they have worked well.

This is the product I was looking for. My cat is very active and she wants attention also during the night, now I'm using it while teaching my cat to sleep alone and be quiet all night long. It works perfectly, the crying when we left her alone and the door scratching stopped when we sprayed Feliway in the room and near the door. In a week she was already trained to this new rule. Now and then she scratches during the night but with just one spray she becomes calmer and let us sleep. The product is pricy but really helps. Very recommended!
