.Roxy is seven, terrified of fireworks, at the first pop she's quivering, shaking, and searching for a tiny place to squeeze herself into. The next day she's still nervy and reactive.My daughter suggested this year i try these. I was doubtful, but anything is worth trying, she gets so scared and I hate seeing it. ( the dog, not my daughter!!)Given lots of fireworks were being done last night to beat lockdown restrictions i gave her and Cleo ( one year old rescue I got in march this year) a tablet at 5. Cleo doesn't appear to bother about them but tends to follow Roxy's lead, so I thought she'd have one too. They both took them as treats, so they must taste ok, and happily crunched them down.The first fireworks started about six, ideally the tablets should be taken two hours before start and I'd thought seven would be earliest. They went on and off for most of the evening, and where Roxy would usually spend the time searching for refuge, really unhappy and uncomfortable, she just took her usual evening place under my bed ( soon as i stop reading, sometimes a bit before, she's on the bed for the night, but likes to get under bed earlier) She wasn't totally unbothered, but instead of the panicky reaction it was definately muted, she wasn't so scared, wasn't quivering and shaking, though still appeared a bit uncomfortable. She was happy to go out for wee before bed as ususal about ten ish, even though the scent of fireworks was in the air and I'd normally have to encourage her. I had music on, a playlist she's familiar with so it wasn't total silence then loud bangs.She's become so reactive to noise just car exhansts or anything like that sets her off now. Maybe these on firework likely occasions will help get her back to normal reactions. I was really really surprised, i didn't expect much from them TBH but would recommend anyone with a scared dog give them a try. They may not work for all, but its not much to pay in the hope that it may help.

This was excellent. My dog hyperventilates, shakes and is inconsolable when it comes to hearing even the distant sound of a firework bang!The vets said that conditional training to keep her calm was the only solution, but after 5 years of this, we had lost all hope.For NYE this year, we wanted to try a calming tablet and I cannot explain how incredible these tablets were!! She’s 10.5kg and we gave her one tablet at 6.30pm. The biggest firework displays were of course around midnight (with many in the lead up too) and she was calm throughout! We were genuinely in a state of shock! It was so good seeing her calm and not in the heartbreaking state she usually gets in.We cut up the tablet in halfand popped it in with her normal dinner- she didn’t even notice it and ate it all!Absolutely appreciate that all dogs are different but these tablets absolutely worked for our dog. Cannot thank you enough Adaptil!!

Highly recommend this product, I have tried many different products over the years and this one is working for my dog .My dog is absolutely terrified of fireworks she cries and Barks and shakes and pants heavily. I get scared incase It will cause something bad like a heart attack or seizure.She is so distraught she hides under furniture even tried to get under my kitchen cupboards only a few days ago when the fireworks was very light.I have plugins and sprays even relaxation chew sticks alongside these I have give her these tablets over the past 3 days. She is much more relaxed now it's a couple of barks not much at all and hides on the sofa but quickly relaxes and goes to sleep.They don't make her drowsy straight away she is relaxed enough to want to play for a few hours but sleeps All Through the Night even when the fireworks are going off which is a miracle.

My dog is extremely anxious and now unfortunately has congestive heart failure so in an attempt to keep him as calm as possible during bonfire period I bought the diffuser and the tablets to use together (the tablets are perfectly fine to use if your dog is on Vetmedin medication) and I have been so happy with the result. Our neighbours are now starting renovations to their home so there is a lot of banging and I am using the tablets to aid my dog through that too. Of course with anything the results are not perfect, but for my dog who used to violently shake and try to hide in the smallest spaces at the sound of a firework or bangs and crashes,this has been wonderful - don't get me wrong he still gets anxious and is on high alert at the noises, but he does not exhibit the extreme stress as he did before.

My dog is normally sick (a lot) when she is in the car after about 20 minutes. We gave the tablets 2hrs before starting our 5 hour trip and held our breath. After 45 minutes into our journey there was a small amount of sick ( spoonful) and we thought we was going to be in for the journey from hell. However this was not the case. She settled down and slept , when we stopped she was full of life (not groggy as we was expecting) and then back in the car she settled down and went back to sleep. On our return trip she was so much more relaxed and no sick at all. I would definitely recommend giving these tablets a go as they have worked for us and now we can start looking forward to family holidaysfurther afield.

I have a 10kg Terrier and a 55kg Dobermann, both terrified of fireworks.I have tried collars, sprays and plugins before without success. I decided to try these based on the reviews.When fireworks are being let off the terrier shakes uncontrolably whilst the Dobermann starts smashing at everything with his massive paws.I gave 1 tablet to the terrier and 3 to the Dobermann (as instructions) A couple of hours later they were calm and peaceful despite the Fireworks.The Dobermanns wore off after a couple of hours so next time I upped his dose to 4 tablets and that did the trick.I can recommend these tablets and from now on I shall always have some in the house ready.

I bought these as our Lhasa Apso had started to get stressed whilst in the car (constant panting and trembling) and we were worried about her heart rate. Gave her half a tablet and the difference was amazing - she settled down much quicker and showed no sign of her previous conditions. It's something we will definitely continue to use and recommend based on our experience. Recently completed a 5 hour journey with her without any issues. Best thing is that it doesnt make her drowsy/groggy so she is good to go once we get to the other end too. Oh and she gobbled the tablet up as if it was treat so no need to force feed her or try to hide it in something more tasty.

My 10 month old Beagle can't travel in a car for more than 15-20 minutes without being sick sadly. As soon as he gets in the car he starts to drool before we even get going.I gave him one tablet 2 hours before we set off on a 90 minute car journey. He started acting a bit spaced out after an hour but there was a lot going on with adults, children and dogs milling around and packing for holiday. Once in the car he didn't really settle down and go to sleep but he only whined a little the whole journey and we had no drooling or vomiting.Absolute winner for me and him and I hope that these will help him get accustomed to travelling in the future.

My pointer is a basket case who has diazepam like it’s going out of fashion during firework season and thunder season. He’s sensitive and neurotic and can make life hard when you need to sleep and the thunder gods are petrifying him at all hours. He kicked off with panting, trembling and digging into the carpet this afternoon whilst I was working. It was early so I thought I’d try the adaptil pills. To my surprise he took a couple from my hand and then went straight to sleep. He’s been brilliant all evening and if he hears a firework recovers very fast. I haven’t seen him this chilled after fireworks in weeks. Fantastic stuff.

I was extremely sceptical about this product. But decided to try these on my dog as she is frightened of fireworks.We still had the usual panic at the loud bangs. But what was different was how calm she became after the noise had stopped.Rather than frantic pacing for hours after she went to bed and slept. Whether this was a one off I don’t know, but for now I’m grateful that I took a chance and tried these. Bare in mind a useful comment left in another review, that not everything works for every dog. I’ve tried thunder jackets, diffuser , dens , safe spaces nothing has worked before this.

Giving these tablets to my jack Russel bitch who has a terrible time with loud noises, she is so bad you would think she is about to have a heart attack the amount she gets wound up. The tablets haven't stoped all of the anxiety but it certainly has calmed her down plus she settles down quite quickly once the noise has stopped, before the tablets she would be shacking and panting for several hours. She's been on the tablets for several days now and there doesn't seem to be any side effects. We have had medication from the vets a they have left her dazed and dissorientated.

My dog is normally car sick by the time we've got off the street which is upsetting for both parties. We did a 130 mile journey and had to stop 8 times to clear up sick... I was recommended these so thought anything was worth a try. I gave my dog 2 tabs 1-2 hours before we set off again. The first 130 mile journey she wasn't sick until we had travelled 127 miles (traffic slowed us down) and on the way home she wasn't sick at all. Highly recommend these. My dog just slept the whole way home and wasn't distressed at all. 5 stars from me!! Will buy again!!

These have been a godsend for my dogs. One has anxiety, the other is laid back but reacts when Mr Anxious gets upset, so both take these. Great flavour, all I have to say is "tablet time" and they're sitting waiting.Took effect within about 30 minutes and lasted a couple of hours, was an absolute game changer during firework season and have continued to use while neighbours are incredibly noisy. Safe to use long term so I will be keeping a supply at all times now :)Have a much less anxious wee dog now, who is back to himself :)

My husky is very frightened of fireworks but I have found these tablets to be the most effective at alleviating her anxiety and helping her to rest easy when fireworks are going off. I've tried other makes but they haven't been effective like these. I can't recall whether they come in different size tablets according to the size of the dog, but I've just given her a dose of one tablet. They are very large, but don't appear to have a taste that she dislikes [I wrap them in food and she takes them ok ;) ].

Cannot believe how calm our black labrador is after taking these pills ..fireworks are already going off and this usually means two weeks of torture for our household . Last year i actually thought she was going to die of a heart attack as she was so distressed ...heart breaking to watch ....this is her 4 th day taking these pills and she is so laid back it is hard to believe its the same dog. Tablets start to work after about 15 mins so i have ordered more to keep handy for thunder storms etc .
