I have an elderly cat who now needs tablets daily. He’s very loving but has never allowed us to mess with him. At the vets he has an ‘uncooperative’ flag on his record and is given anaesthetic for investigations that most cats would readily accept. So, when I was told that we would be giving him tablets twice a day for life, I was very worried about how we’d cope. I bought a Buster pill popper and it was ok. But he found it a bit of a shock and was, to say the least, less than happy. One of his pills is split into 6 and it didn’t cope well with something so small. As this wasn’t just a week of tablets, I knew I’d have to find another option to keep us and Max sane.I saw easypill on Amazon and thought it was worth a try. First thing I noticed was that it’s so easy to roll the pills inside. I wish I’d trained my cats when they were kittens to take food from my hand. As I didn’t, he won’t eat it off my hand and he didn’t want to eat it off the floor - I wasn’t surprised he won’t touch dreamies either! So I was only half disappointed that he didn’t just lap it up. He has to be restrained but the towel wrapping method was stressful to us all. By accident we found something that worked for us. We keep him on the floor sitting as normal and use the towel as a ‘bib’. He feels his feet are down and he doesn’t feel held. He doesn’t get stressed. He then allows me to open his mouth and he accepts the easypill without the fuss we had before. And it must be cat tasty because he doesn’t spit it out. That had been a big stress with other methods, often I thought he’d taken the pill but actually it was on the floor ! I do get about 10 uses from each stick, but only since I discovered putting the open pack in a very small airtight container. That keeps it moist and pliable and wastes nothing. Worth the money to remove the dread of pill time. Hope that helps, I know how stressful it is trying to give uncooperative cats a tablet.

My cat is a rescue and even the vet struggles to get a tablet into her. So when she was recently prescribed tablets for the rest of her life my heart sunk. She needs to have 2 tablets a day. Without this Easy Pill product i honestly don't know how i'd manage it. When i received the product I gave her a little taste before i tried her with it wrapped around the tablet, she loved it and asked for more! Using the product to wrap the tablet is so easy, and my cat just thinks its a treat so it must taste good. You just break a bit off, squash and flatten it between your fingers and then wrap the tablet, it's so easy to use. Depending on the size of the tablet, you'll probably get between 8 and 10 helpings out of each little packet (each bag contains 4 individual little packets) It's a little bit of trial and error with how much to use at the start. I use as little as possible so it just covers the tablet.I offer my cat 1 of her normal treats first then give her the wrapped tablet. I have to use this method because i have more than 1 cat and the youngest doesnt miss a thing, she always joins in with 'treat' time. The product is chicken flavoured so it may not be to every cats taste. I have 3 cats, 2 love it but 1 isnt interested at all, he also doesnt really like cooked chicken or chicken treats. However if your cat does enjoy chicken definitely give this product a go, it's a lot easier and less stressful for the cat and human!

Cat won't take tablets without a real struggle - and even then she's likely to spit them out. Attempting to hide them in food, pieces of chicken or fish has not worked either.Using the putty has been really easy though - as suggested, we tried a few times with just the putty which she seems to love the taste of. Had to experiment with the timing as, if she thought it was her treats (which she crunches), she ended up trying to chew the putty and spending ages getting it off from around her teeth. Then we avoided Treat-times and just gave it to her in her food bowl so, as long as we get the size right, she just wolfs it down. After 3 or 4 days of getting her used to the putty we tried the first pill which she didn't seem to notice at all - so far we've had 5 successful attempts at giving her the pills and she's very content. We've found that trying not to handle the putty too much is better - if it gets too warm in your fingers it goes very soft and she struggles a bit more when it's soft - just make sure it's fully wrapped around the pill and that has worked very well.So far, we're VERY happy with how well it's working - fingers crossed we can get through the next 3 weeks...

Oh wow, I am so, so pleased to have discovered this product. My 21 year old cat has been on two thyroid tablets a day for 6 years, and two painkillers a day for her arthritis for 1 year. I've never been able to force a pill into her, so I've been grinding them up in milk or food for the last 6 years, but over the last two years she has become increasingly fussy, to the point where I was following her around with a saucer half the day while trying to keep my other cats from pinching it - good thing I work from home! And if she refused a dose, her appetite would get worse and she'd sometimes be sick - a vicious circle, and her health started to suffer. Then I discovered this stuff - and problem solved! My cat is looking healthier already, she hasn't been sick since I bought it, and she's never even tried to spit a pill out! This product has made an incredible difference to my cat's life, and to my life! I don't know how they make it taste so great, but my cat nearly bites my hand off for it, downs it immediately with no fuss and lots of purrs, and then asks for more! Wow, and thank you!

My cat had been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and needed a pill twice a day, but was managing to avoid the pills in her food no matter how well we thought we hid them. Cheese didn’t work, nor did Dreamies. Forcing it down her throat worked, but I got pierced by her teeth every time. Using a pill popper worked but I got pierced by her claws every time. We were getting desperate! Then we tried Easypill Cat Putty. We followed the instructions and gave it to her as treats a few time first, which went down well. And then the big event - with a pill. She gobbled it down, even crunching the pill. It was a miracle! After that it was so easy. She eagerly waited for her treat before each meal, and enjoyed crunching her tablet. With the tablets down her, her health improved and we got our old cat back again, before she could go for her treatment. So that’s why I entitled the review “Lifesaver”.I can’t recommend this product enough. It may be expensive but it is worth every penny. And you get better every day at using less by rolling the pill better in less product.

My cat was always a bit of a nightmare when it came to giving her tablets. Hiding tablets in food never worked, and she'd put up one hell of a fight if you tried to administer them directly into her mouth. This became a major problem when she got older and suddenly needed daily medication.I was sceptical that Easypill would be any more successful than hiding tablets in food but for the sake of what it costs it was worth a try. I still can't believe how well it works. As long as I make sure that the whole of the tablet is completely covered by it, she wolfs it down. In fact she now actually gets excited when it comes to having her tablet because she just thinks she's getting a treat rather than being tricked into taking drugs.Whoever invented this, I owe you a debt of gratitude. Gone are the days where I had to don a bomb-disposal suit every time I needed to give my cat her medicine, and now rather than being left traumatised as I alligator wrestle her to the floor, she thinks I'm brilliant for giving her "treats".Read full review...

I’ve owned cats all of my life. My last cat, Millie (she died last week) simply hated taking pills. I have a PhD in trying to get pills into her for over 14 years but nothing worked. I’d find them spit out, they would drool out of her mouth you name it she did it. The vets would try to persuade me to give her liquids but that was even worse. Poor Millie got nose cancer in June, and the vet told me that she would need a couple of pills each day in addition to the chemo treatment. The vets knew Millie wouldn’t take her pills, and a new vet said, have you tried easy pill. I thought, oh yes, more money down the pan. But I went ahead and bought them anyway. It arrived, I followed the instructions and my word,Millie ate the pill which was wrapped in the easy pill paste. 14 years of upset and trauma (for both of us) and all I needed was Easypill. the cancer couldn’t be cured and she died last week. I just wish I had found this years ago, Millie loved the taste and she just ate the pills without any problem!

He hates the blue pill. It tastes nasty and the coating comes off, meaning it sticks to my fingers no matter how far down his throat it goes, it stays stuck to me. Poor little guy was becoming traumatised. This stuff lasts ages per block, makes the blue pill easier to swallow and gulp down leaving no nasty after-taste. He now queues up at tablet time waiting the treat afterwards. Wow!Its such a simple solution to a problem all cat owners experience at some point, and if like me you have to give tablets twice a day, it makes life so much easier for everyone. No more struggling or wriggling. No more chasing him round the house and fishing him out from under the coffee table. He's more relaxed ingeneral about the whole tablet thing and just opens his mouth (for a millisecond - he's still a cat after all), in goes this stuff, down his gullet it goes and his face is straight in his food bowl for his tea or he's begging for a treat. My cat is 15yrs old if anyone is wondering.

My poor old boy at 14 has various problems and at one stage for several months had 3 tablets in the morning, 1 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening. Before we knew about this stuff, which our vet recommended, our relationship had deteriorated as he was so upset about being medicated so many times a day. By this I mean he never purred, was always suspicious and never wanted to sit on the sofa with us for cuddles. This pill putty has absolutely changed our lives. Now he comes to wake me up in the morning telling me it's time for his treats! Have been using this for months now and only on one day, when he seemed to be having an off day, did he not want to take his medicine.I keep all his meds in a plastic lunchbox and when he hears the lid being opened he is immediately by my side making excited noises. He's purring again, enjoying a fuss and now comes for snuggles on the sofa. He's a much happier boy now. Bravo to the creator of this wonder.

Using the easypill cat putty and seeing how easily our two cats took their pills was simply, amazing. We've tried hiding the pills in pate and whilst that worked for a while, our cats have since become suspicious of this.So for a while we've resorted to having to put the cats into a blanket, have one person hold them still whilst the other person tries to force the pill into their mouth and persuade them to swallow it.It's a pain that many owners are sure to recognise. We'd heard about the cat putty from a friend and decided to give it a go.You tear off a bit of the putty, push the pill inside and then fold it over to encase the pill. When we held out a hand with the putty ball,we expected our cats to sniff at it suspiciously ... but no, they almost took our fingers off scoffing the ball and not once did they chew and think, "Hang on there's a pill in here!"It's amazing, pill time has been transformed, thank goodness!

Excellent product. My cat has been on steroids for 6 weeks. The first three days of trying to give the cat a pill were distressing for me and the cat. My vet gave me a sample of easypill to try and the cat eagerly accepted his medicine. I purchased a pack and the success has continued. I give two pieces, one to get him interested (easy!) and then one with the pill inside. Unfortunately after being on the steroids for so long he has come to expect his daily treat - don't know what he'll do when his course of steroids come to an end ! The tablets he is taking are fairly small so I am not sure if a larger tablet would be as acceptable It would probably mean having to give a larger size piece of putty and it is rather expensive. In future I intend to always use this product shoulld my cat require any medication. As mentioned previously, the only drawback is the price.Read full review...

I've just used one of these to give worming tablets to two cats. I bought both the pills and two individual Easypills from the vet. My cats have never taken pills so easily! You get quite a lot in each packet, one was more than enough. After wrapping a little around a pill, I gave one of the cats some 'dummy' treats - just a little of the Easypill with no pill inside - then sneaked in the bit with the pill hidden. She just ate it as though it was another treat. I repeated this trick with my other cat. Job done! There was still lots left from the one packet, so I just broke this up and gave it to them. It would harden in storage. If you're giving pills daily, this would no longer be a fun treat,so it might be wise to vary it with another type of pill disguise. I often just crush in food. But for occasional pills, these are great.

I normally only write negative reviews of poor products, because I'm a negative person. This product, however, is well worth a positive review and with it, your consideration. Easypill is one of those products where you think...wow, so simple, how didn't I think of that, I'd be a millionaire.I had given up on trying to give my cat her medicine for her heart because it was causing her more harm than good trying to get her to swallow it. The first time I wrapped the pill in this stuff she just couldn't get it down her quick enough. It has worked every day since with no fuss. It is a little on the expensive side but I have also found you need less than the recommended amount to cover a pill fully.Buy it if you want to reduce the stress in yours and most important your cat's life.

It is very difficult to administer medication to my cat. He knows if it mixed in his food, and duly leaves it...he spits it out if you try and shoot a pill into his mouth...and he fights like mad if you crush and syringe ( also- one of his pills does not crush at all ).This product is brilliant! It is so easy to break a piece off, press a pill into it, and wrap it around to enclose the medication completely. Moss loves the taste and swallows it happily, pill and all. I am so relieved! I would point out that I had tried a different brand before that didn’t work at all....so was sceptical that this would. I cannot rate it highly enough. The only thing is that it is a bit expensive, but definitely worth it to prevent the stress and anxiety for both of us!
