I purchased this tracker for our cat. before doing so I spent many hours looking for the best product on the market. In fact, the market is not very rich in products. I wanted the most reliable, smallest size and longest possible battery. As usual, we need to make compromises. In this case not too many:Reliability: Very satisfactory, really. Globally we can always find our cat following this tracker's info. Of course we would like the position to be perfect. It is not perfect. Sometimes, it places our cat inside the neighbour's house or swimming in the pool. But to be honest these are in reality a difference of a couple of meters compared to life. And these couple of meters are definitely not a problem. We always know in which direction to search and have always, with no exception so far (3 months of usage), found our cat. There is one thing to take into account: if the cat and the phone are too close to each other, the GPS position can get it all wrong. This couple of meters again! But who cares? It is because your cat is so close that the tracker does not know if you stand on left or right of the cat.Size: This is my only issue with this tracker: it is far too big for my liking. They say it is the smallest in the world. It might be the case but I think the world did not try very hard. The cat itself does not care much but we have put it on a harness to avoid having a big collar. So the tracker is on her back. But honestly, this tracker is unnecessarily big. After all it contains only a e-sim card, a battery and a small loudspeaker. All of this could fit inside a tracker a fourth of the size. Maybe it would be a little more expensive due to the prices of components but not really much I believe. Anyway, as it is now, I find it bulky and not particularly pleasant to look at. The only thing you see on your cat is the tracker, especially in white as it is. So, in the end I am only half satisfied with the size and would replace it any time for something more 2020s like. On the other hand, I must admit that the cat does not care much. She goes with it and is used to it.Battery: I think the battery is supposed to last a few days. I am not sure. What I can say is that we charge it at night and there is no difficulty whatsoever to use it during the whole day. The battery does its job very well. We kept the updating to every minute. It is possible to do longer to save on battery. But one minute is working just fine. One can do faster as well. We did not try. I would not be worry to leave the cat out all night.Phone app: We use the iPhone version of the app. I must say that this app is well thought. Easy to use without being simplistic. It has all the functions we can hope for and probably a few more. Interface is easy to understand and does not require reading the manual. We have shared the app with all the phones of the family and we can all track our cat. I don't wish to do an app review. Just know that the app is doing all you want and more. By the way, the setup was dead easy following the Weenect instructions online. Piece of cake! Conclusion:Would I buy it again? Yes.Would I buy it to a friend? Yes.Could it be improved? Yes: the size! I can't like the size.Is the cat bothered by the tracker? No.Should I take a star off because of the size? No. I will not. After all Weenect never pretended to make it smaller and there are plenty of images available to know before buying. Price is not too high either. On top of that, as surprising as it sounds, I even got a phone call from Weenect to check if I was satisfied. How many brands out there are caring to ask? I'm just waiting for the next smaller (but I mean "very smaller") next version.

I did a lot of research before buying a tracker for my cat. I ended up trying three different ones (Weenect, Tabcat, Tailit). Of the GPS trackers, this ends up being a clear winner for me. For starters - it works and is easy to charge, easy to setup. It comes with a magnetic charging cradle which is neat and tidy. It is one of the lightest GPS trackers available (although be aware - although they tell you it weighs 25g or so, the silicone case that comes with it to hold it onto your cat's collar weighs another 11g - so really it is between 35-40g total - but my cat is not too large - less than 4kg - and she doesn't seem to mind it). Features wise, it is packed with good things: it can ring,it can vibrate, it is water proof. Battery life is *very good*. They say 2-3 days but because it goes into standby mode whenever you cat is dozing and not moving, and because you can set how often it updates when your cat is moving, it will go up to 5 days between charges. The standby mode when not moving is perfect for when your cat loses her collar (and she will) - the device will remain trackable for a good long time! But - where this device REALLY shines is in the software that Weenect provide with it. Of course, like any other GPS tracker you pay Weenect a monthly fee to cover the SIM card contract and the use of their servers and software - but in Weenect's case it is totally worth it. Both their Website and the iPhone App (and I assume the Android app is very similar) are *outstanding*. They beat any other GPS tracker service website I looked at into dust. The software is easy to use, quick to log in to, and has a plethora of features including history over past 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 hours, hotspot view, easy-to-configure geo-fencing, very intuitive interface, and you can interact with the device in real time - updating how often it sends you locations, make it ring or vibrate - request a fresh GPS position, and even send a voice call to the device (10 minutes of this per month included in the fee). I cannot stress enough how good the software is. The other devices I looked at, some of them may have bene as good technically and in terms of weight - but none of them came close on the software side and it is of course this that you will be interacting with, - not the device itself. Finally - quite neatly, the device has a button it which when pressed will alert you to your phone and email immediately, and allow you to call and speak to the device (like a mobile phone!). So if your cat gets injured or lost someone can who finds it can press this button and be put in touch with you immediately. So - I waffled on. But - in summary - a well-designed lightweight device with good battery life, works very reliably (I've been using it for a month now), and EXCELLENT software interface both on traditional PC/laptop via a web browser and also on your handheld device. Oh - and they have good support too.

I bought this a few months ago and would not be without it now.The day before my cat had been locked into a very seldom used neighbour's garage for about 6 hours before I found her. That night all I kept thinking was how lucky I had been that she had been locked in so close to home that I found her pretty easily. As she is a bit of a wanderer, it could have been much, much worse. There were several products for cat GPS but my problem is that Sansa is only 3 pounds soaking wet - other products were for larger cats. Had images in my head of her being so weighed down in front that her back legs would be sticking up in air. Ordered the Weenect that night and Sansa was on house arrest the next day until it arrived.Yes, there is a bit of weight to it but I was relieved to see all four paws were on the ground! About 10 minutes after she left on her first post Weenect outing I realised I hadn't turned the darn thing on but figured even I/Sansa couldn't be that unlucky to be locked in 2 days in a row. Fortunately I have never made the same mistake again. (Watch me go and do it tomorrow now I have typed that.)I track her on the computer and my phone easily. It is true that the GPS is not 100% accurate - but Weenect tells you the accuracy < or > in yards in the same place you check battery life. Did have an issue one day when GPS said Sansa was in the house - I searched and on my second whiz round the house I finally spotted her on the outside living room window ledge. As for battery life, I charge it every evening when she comes in and make sure it is 100% before she goes out in the morning. During the summer she was out 10 to 12 hours surveying her kingdom and the lowest the battery got was 52%.What I didn't anticipate was how funny it would discovering where she goes on her travels. She was spending about an hour a day at a house further up the road - someone I don't know. Even before GPS I knew Sansa would go to my friends places each day for a quick visit. Just happened to pass the house when a woman was out in her garden so I thought I would be nosey and ask. Turned out that during lockdown they had gotten a Yorkie pup and Sansa and the pup made friends through their conservatory windows. She showed me a picture on her phone of Sansa and Bertie trying to lick each other through the glass.I am so glad that I found the Weenect and I would hate to be without it!

I've had a Weenect 2 cat tracker for just over a year and I think its great. I have a bit of a wanderer type of cat but I like to have her home every evening. This tracker helps me find her and gives me great piece of mind. It is fairly accurate down to about a few metres and a few seconds. My cat is pretty nosey and if she sees an open door or window she will enter it. I have found her cowering under someone's bed before despite the house owner insisting she wasn't in their house. The size of the tracker doesn't bother her. But she has lost it a few times when her collar has come off. I've been able to locate it by walking to its last known location then "Ringing" the tracker and listening for its exact location. It's usually stuck in a bush somewhere. However, the last time it became lost, I was unable to trace the tracker due to being unable to get to the approximate location where it was lost. The battery died and couldn't "call" it so I lost the tracker and I couldn't make a visual on it either.I bought another recently and was able to transfer the remainder of my 2 year Sim Subscription over to the new tracker very easily. The Weenect Customer Support were excellent and responded to my emails very promtly. I cannot fault them. The plastic sheave that holds the tracker onto the collar wears out over time (maybe 6 months) and requires renewing. Again customer service were brilliant when it didn't arrive and sent another promptly.I advise anyone who does buy this tracker to ensure they have a good quality collar. The battery lasts anywhere between 24hrs and 96hrs (4 days) depending on how you request updates from it. I generally have it on 5-10 minute updates during the day then request 30 second updates when I want her in. I still have about 80% battery remaining at the end of the day even after a year of having the device. I am very happy with the device and it gives me great piece of mind. I don't have any problems in recommending Weenect Cat Trackers

Really happy with these trackers. One of my cats went missing 4 weeks ago and hasn’t been seen since which has been totally heartbreaking. I have since bought this tracker for my other cats and am very happy with it. It is a bit bulky for a cat but none of them seem to mind and they get on with their roaming no problem. I have tested it and have always been able to locate them when they’re out and about. While the GPS is unlikely to work if they get trapped inside a building you would be able to see their last known location so you’d still be able to isolate the building they’re in. It’s also really reassuring to be able to see what their usual routes are and mine all stay away from the road.Make sure you get a quick release collar to thread the tracker on to. You can get the Weenect insurance for if it gets lost but you are likely to always be able to find it anyway. If you have a cat that doesn’t usually wear a collar I would get them used to that first. I initially bought a radio tracker as it’s smaller and although gets similar star ratings as this one I thought it was useless. I know other reviewers of this one have had issues with the GPS accuracy but I’ve not experienced that at all and Weenect have great tutorials to make sure you get the best out of it. The battery life is fine - I take the tracker off the cats when they come in at night and then charge it every other day. You do have to pay a subscription as well but if you are attached to your cats I’m sure you’d gladly pay that to get them back if they got lost/injured and you couldn’t find them. The app functionality is great and also great for if you have multiple pets. I did loads of research and this one consistently came out as top and in my experience rightly so.

We purchased this after getting a new young cat who on his first time out disappeared for in excess of 24 hours. Not being used to this with our older cat who returns on an almost hourly basis we decided to look for a GPS tracker. I compared many online reviews and ultimately decided on the Weenect product. It was by far the smallest, lightest we could find. Delivery was quick and the setup instructions were easy to follow. The subscription options mean that you can use the product for a couple of months and then cancel or pay for up to two years at a cheaper rate. It took our cat a little while to get used to the device but he now wears it without any issue. He can use the cat flap, eat and carry out his normal activities without any problem. The app is easy to install and intuitive to use the live track feature is great. I have found the tracking to be extremely accurate and have been able to find the cat whilst out and about. If he was stuck somewhere and you couldn't see him then the sounder is a great feature to make the device beep. The only downside is the silicon sleeve our cat initially managed to chew/scratch one corner and tear it. But not to the point were it is unusable. You can also find replacements for them online. The customer service was great very friendly and personable. All in all I believe the Weenect product is great value for money. It has certainly given us peace of mind. I would definitely recommend it and would buy other products from this company.

I am very pleased with the tracker. GPS location is not 100% accurate but it gives you a very good idea of where your cat is. I would say its around 95% accurate. There are times when the location is completely off (cat is only upstairs but location on map is 5 streets away) but this only happens once in a blue moon. The tracker also can't differentiate vertical heights so if your cat is just upstairs, it will show that he's further on the map.The virtual fencing is very helpful as it notifies you when your cat has wandered too far. The ring function is helpful when trying to locate the tracker especially when cat loses the collar which has happened a few times.Size wise,it's a bit big for my liking but doesn't seem to be much of a bother for my cat. It is also not too heavy. The silicone holder holds the tracker securely but in order for it not to move around on a collar, I've had to buy those double layered collars.pBattery does last 3 days but I do charge mine every day as if the cat goes missing, you at least have the tracker on for a longer time. The app is also easy to use and customer support has been very helpful whenever I've contacted them. Replies have been prompt and solutions have been given.I live in Malaysia and would highly recommend this tracker. The tracker is expensive in Ringgit Malaysia and there is also a monthly subscription to be paid which is affordable.Overall, more than satisfied and highly recommended.

Very easy to set up and enjoyed stalking my cat. It was comforting to see that he mostly stays local and it was good to see that he was nearby when he was being cheeky and not coming in. Also enjoyed the artwork Timmy seemed to create with his mad running about. I initially found ringer was useful to pinpoint where he was, but then later realised that the sound of the ringer was distressing him, so stopped using the ringer and vibrate features. Think these would be great training tools, if they do not distress your cat. It needs charged every 1.5-2 days, which I thought was fine and charges overnight. I was really enjoying using the app, and reviewing the previous day's, but in the end I had to remove the tracker.Whilst it was great benefit to me, I noticed when I put it on Timmy's collar, it seemed rather big and instead on the back of his neck, it would slip to under his chin due to the weight. Then one day, I noticed that due to the size and position, Timmy was struggling to clean himself and it was causing him distress. I removed the tracker immediately. This product was such a great concept, but the size was too big for a cat and think how the cat reacts to the ringer and vibrate features may vary from cat to cat.

This is easy to attach to my cat's collar and doesn't seem to bother him too much. I added the subscription for free replacement if lost or stolen as my cat has a tendancy to lose his collars. I'm glad I did, because although on most occasions it has been a good excuse to meet the neighbours as the collar is in their back gardens, on one occasion it was lost in a heavily overgrown woodland area behind the back of our house with brambles etc and the battery ran out before we could find it. This service was as described "no questions asked" and they sent a replacement very quickly and activated it for me. I have found the customer service good also when we had trouble getting it to find the GPS signal. The subscription cost is relatively expesnive but I find the GPS very accurate and this must be of good use for people's cats who go missing. For me it has just been of real interest to see the extent of my cat's territory. I have not used the vibrate and call as it is scary for him and although he could probably be trained to get used to it we don't really have any problems with him coming home. Battery life is ok but I've notuced from the pint you get the first low battery warning it tends to go down very quickly

Users should note that unlike the GPS in your phone, this doesn't use phone signals for better accuracy - that basically means if the tracker is inside a building or in narrow gardens, alleys etc, it will only be accurate to around 'a few gardens' worth. For me, that's fine, as I still get an idea of where the cat goes (when it moves i can sort of smooth out the spikes in the displayed track). Should I ever need to actually go looking for him, you can always sound the (loud) alarm. I'm sure you will always be near enough to the tracker to hear it. With this tracker, you will likely be able to find your lost cat, but you will not be able to prove who's garden it has gone into, if that's your aim.In short, not perfect, but it's great for peace of mind and after some research is probably the best one out there for general 'UK terraced houses neighborhood' use.App is OK, a little clunky. The device itself is small and light, and my fairly medium size/lightweight rescue cat has had no problem with it, seems comfortable to wear. You have to pay upfront for 3 months use. Again, no huge amount for the peace of mind it has given.

This tracker really is fab! I got one because I’ve just moved right near a road and my cat is used to going outside so I wanted to be able to kept him outside but didn’t want him to go near the road. So this tracker is great as I can see where he is when I want to check and I also set boundaries near the road so I get alerted if he goes out of them . I would advise that when you are turning the tracker on and letting it find where it is that they make the blue light flashing brighter as I could barely see it in the sun so therefore wasn’t entirely sure if it had connected until I checked on my phone. I also think it would be useful to have a point that showed where you are on the map and have it move as you go closer to your animal if you are looking for it ,because I went looking for my cat and I could see where he was but was not entirely sure where I was on the map. Would be great if battery life could be a lot longer as well.Overall I think it’s great device if you want to keep your cat or dog off a road or a certain area of land.

Arrived quickly and works well so far. I've only been using it for 3 days. Our cat was moving back to us after been living with my inlaws for 7 years. He doesnt know our new house or neighboorhood, so I was worried he would wander off trying to gind my inlaws house again (they had to move to an apartment and couldnt keep him). So it is really comforting to be able to keep track of him when he goes out. I can see that he is exploring the neighborhood but doesnt go far. If I didnt have the gps I would be constantly worried and would be out looking for him all the time. The only downside is the battery doesnt last very long, maybe 2-3 days, but I am going to make a habit of charging every night. Also the gps is not completely accurate, but good enough for me. I wouldnt use the ting tone or vibration, it is too loud and scary for the cat. But if he was lost, I might use the call feature, so tha he would hear my voice... I dont know. The main function for me is the gps and it is good enough. And it was very easy to set up and start using.

I bought this to put my mind at ease about where my cat was when he goes out as I live near main roads.I had read other reviews and knew it was never going to be 100% accurate all the time which I can understand as it’s probably something to do with the satellites but usually it is spot on.It is neat on the collar, doesn’t look too bulky and my 9 year old cat only started wearing a collar a few months before I bought a Weenect and he doesn’t seem to mind. The ring function is great if I know he’s near but not sure if he’s in a bush or just out of sight. I don’t use the vibrate as it is quite powerful, and sometimes I do call him to tell him to come back sometimes ?I have set my home range so I get alerts if he goes out of it and re enters.I have the tracker set to update the location every 30seconds (the most frequent) and the battery lasts over 16 hours. Obviously this would be longer if the frequency was set lower but my cat comes in at night so I just charge it over night.I’m 100% happy with my purchase

The Weenect 2 is a really good solution for pet tracking. Our cat is small so we were concerned that any tracker would be too big to fit comfortably on a collar for her but this unit is just right for a cat and would be relatively unnoticable on a big dog.The GPS location is accurate to within a metre. Our cat shed her collar once and we recovered the collar no problem from the bush it was caught in. The ability to beep the collar allowed us to train our cat to come home on command over a few weeks with treats when she returns as a reward. You can even call the collar and have a two way conversation with any people nearby if needed! It fully recharges in an hour and the battery lasts for roughly two days. You can set a geofence so you know if your pet has strayed further than you are comfortable with.An excellent product with a well thought out app and reliable performance. Thoroughly recommended!

Easy to use and set-up. Strangely enough, my cat waits for me to put it on every morning (Needs charging at night couple hours to full charge) before she goes out. Not only do I know where she is but she seems to know I know where she is and does not hide any more when its time to come in. It's easy to use, and I find all the functions useful. The charge last's a full day more if you don't use all the tracking capabilities, but then it's for that purpose so it no big deal if you forget to charge it, takes a couple of hours or less, so that's good as well. It does what says it does on the tin. I was worried about the size but does not bother my cat at all. Collar needs to be very elastic so that they can pull free, had to make a minor mod to the holder, so a small hole for a cat tag insertion would be a useful addition. I recommend it if your cat wanders and you want to keep tabs on them.
