Do you have a cat or a dog that when it breathes near you your not sure to fall flat on your face or just hold your breath until you turn blue and the little stinker has walked away. ? Well this is the stuff you need. I sticks some on my finger then rub it around the dog or cats teeth and gums once a day for 3 days. This stuff is brilliant it helps with them pungent stinks that comes from there mouths and it helps with cleaning there gums and teeth. You can use a small brush and brush there teeth and gums. This helps with plaque and all those bits that got stuck that causes all those vile pongs. After 3 days use the smells have gone the plaque is at a reasonable amount to cope with or in some cases it's all gone if you have been keeping up on there dental health.Cats seem to be the worse for plaque and smells its totally disgusting and it's not very nice when they are trying to love you up and drooling on your face disgusting. We have found this to be the best out of the range of these type of teeth cleaners. Plus all the animals seem to like the taste I think this is meaty flavour if you dont want to stick your finger in there mouths then with the cats you can put a 2cm line of ot onto the top of there front paws as they will lick it off and do the same job as you putting it into there mouths the dogs I have never had a problems as they seem to like having there teeth brushed so they are really easy .

I always hesitated in buying dog tooth gel as I thought it would be one of those gimmicky products that just don't work; I was very, very wrong. My dog is 11 years old and I never really concerned myself in taking care of her teeth as of until three years ago. I brushed her teeth daily and saw very minimal results. In addition to this, her breath was awful. She hated getting her teeth brushed and it was a bad experience for us both. I went to the pet shop, saw this product, and just decided it was like five pounds, so why not? From day one, this product eliminates bad breath for 24 hours. On top of that, after like a week's use, I could use my nails and scrape all the hardened plaque off her teeth (very satisfying). In fact, I am still pretty amazed how this product works. This 100g tube lasted me a solid month, with daily use. Definitely a must have item for every dog owner.P.S. I'd also recommend feeding your dog some good quality dog food as this also aids having healthy teeth. I personally saw even more benefits to my dog's oral health after switching to a better quality food.

We have a 14 year old Jack Russell who is such a sweet heart but has the worst breath!!Looking at different dog toothpastes I didn't fancy the toothbrush part as our dog has got such a good pair of teeth on her I would hate to be accidentally nipped. OUCH!!This tooth gel has been a god-send and is just so easy to use. It comes in a small rectangle shaped box and the actual tooth gel comes in a average toothpaste type tube. When first using just un-screw the lid and peel of the plastic and back on goes the lid. It comes with an attachable tube which helps using the gel.As I said before its just so easy. I just find her teeth and squeeze out a line of gel on the gums and that is basically it.The gel comes out thick and clear; it is also meat flavour which my dog seems to love. Oh and don't worry if you miss a part of the gums as the dog naturally uses its tongue to spread the gel as it licks its mouth. The only reason I haven't given it five stars as I have yet to determine if it helps her teeth and stops her stinky breathe. However so far so good!!

A necessity for maintaining healthy plaque free teeth. I used the original liver toothpaste on my old 15 year old border collies teeth for many years and it helped significantly with plaque build up.Repurchased the toothpaste for my younger BC pup and also bought this gel version with the nozzle for specific molar targeting to keep my pups new adult teeth squeaky clean. First and foremost the correct diet is essential for doggy dental health, avoiding starchy carbs and baked treats. Prevention is always better than cure. I used to give my pup baked treats and quickly switched to dehydrated treats having noticed a small build up of plaque on the upper back molars. This gel toothpaste has almost completely removed it.It's very convenient for direct application leaving the enzymes in the gel to do their thing. At least 4 times a week I also brush his teeth with the same brands toothbrush. He loves the taste which is a bonus.

My cats love the taste (every time I get out the tube all 3 of them crowd around me). It doesn't smell of anything to me but it obviously appeals to them. The only other topical dental health product I tried on them was a vet prescribed mouthwash that stank of harmful chemicals and they hated it. The vet said if I didn't use it twice daily for the rest of their lives they would ultimately have to have their teeth pulled! I would say compared to that it does as good a job and they like it. I also use a natural supplement I put in their food called PlagueOff and the 2 together have done wonders for their gums - they've gone from bleeding and red to just dark pink in 2 months. It's certainly done more than the mouthwash I was using. I can tell that they aren't feeling pain from their gums anymore and they are eating proper portions now.

I tend to alternate between using Beaphar gel and Beaphar toothpaste, and have been brushing my dogs teeth daily from about 12 weeks of age. He is now just over 2 years old and has dazzling white teeth, which the Vet always comments on. He loves the taste of it and because he is used to having his teeth cleaned I have no problems using it. I apply the toothpaste or the gel using either a soft toothbrush or a finger brush, and gently brush his teeth, using the same action as I would to brush my own. The gel does state that you can apply it directly to the teeth and the action of the dog licking the gel will clean the teeth. I can't comment on that as I always use a brush.I also couldn't say that the gel is better than the paste or vice versa. What I can say is that I wish my teeth were as white as his. Definitely recommend Beaphar.

My dog hates people touching her mouth so this 'No Brush' toothpaste makes it a million times easier to keep her teeth clean than it would have been if I'd still been trying to brush her teeth with a dog toothbrush on a daily basis. She has a history of genetic tooth problems that have cost me an absolute fortune in vets fees! (Lots of dog insurance companies, don't cover dental problems) So finding a solution that doesn't involve battling to try to brush her teeth on a daily basis is an absolute Godsend! This toothpaste probably won't totally prevent tooth problems on its own, but it defiantly really helps and I'd recommend it as part of anyone's attempts to prevent canine tooth decay.

After being told by the vet my kitten was showing signs of gingivitis, she recommended I start brushing his teeth. After trying the finger-tip brushes, I found this a much more efficient way of cleaning his teeth. The gel is liver flavoured, so it's not a chore for my cat to have his teeth cleaned. Just squirt it in his mouth and follow the tooth line (each side), and he will happily lick any excess (which helps clean teeth you miss).I use this alongside an anti-plaque food additive, and have noticed a significant improvement in my cat's breath and tooth colouring. Have yet to go back to the vet for a checkup, but hopefully this will do the trick longterm.

The dogs love the flavour and sit waiting for me to apply it. It is easy to apply, I use my finger and apply a 'blob' to gums each side, from back to front.I've noticed an improvement in my small dogs breath smell after using for a few days, and some improvement on some teeth (not all).I started using the gel as the small dog was reluctant to have his teeth brushed (with paste) and teeth were starting to stain plus tartar build up. Gum health also looks better. The other dogs teeth (which were only slightly discoloured) are significantly better.II use once a day, but will try twice for smaller dog until significant improvement.

My cat Simba had pain from his teeth and our vet recommended I get a toothpaste and brush for my cats. With this toothpaste I actually don’t need to have a brush it’s basically put a line over the teeth with the gel, then the gel and your cat will do the rest. I learnt the hard way though with this. Please do not use a rubber toothbrush to spread the gel round the cats teeth use the plastic tub that comes with it. It will save you from bite marks on your figures lol I just now need to get the rest of my 4 cats used to getting the gel and then no more bad teeth. Get your cats teeth sparkly clean and strong again.

my dogs tend to get some built-up on the canines and the lower molars. I use this gel once or twice a month for a three-day period. I do not use a tooth-brush, I just squeeze gel on my finger and rub it over their gums. I use a bit more so that the gel 'sticks around' a bit longer to do its magic. After each 3-day use the built-up is much reduced. The gel works better than other gels and pastes I have tried. my dogs like the flavor. The only thing I do not find optimal (and why I only give it a 4 star, not 5 star) is the consistency as I feel that it would be more effective if it was a bit more solid & sticky.

My cat has allowed me into her mouth to apply this gel onto a badly plaque/tartar build up. She is 15 years and I got her 3 years ago. I tried a number of products as I could not afford to have it descaled by a vet as it is quite expensive. Anyway, she seems to like the liver flavour and I applied it with a cotton bud as it is at the back of her mouth. It doesn't seem to bother her, however, the smell is just awful. So I now have faith that this will work 100%Reading all the reviews from other pet owners was so uplifting that we all found a product that's so helpful & works

Really great product, does exactly what is says on the tin! Saw an improvement in tooth whiteness and cleanliness in around a week after once/twice daily use and improved breath after around 3 days. We are using it in conjunction with a product you add to food. Have been using both for around 6 weeks and have seen a vast improvement. Recommended.Only downside is the price (too expensive) and that for the price it does not come bundled with a small toothbrush/fingerbrush. I know it is gel, but a fingerbrush really helps to apply it properly!

I have two dogs .one has always suffered from plaque brushing his teeth was possible but such a faff .the vet told mne he was going to need a professional clean and the vet dislikes reccomending this .i switched to the beaphar gel and the results are dramatic after two weeks many of his teeth are completely white .the better news is it is so much easier to administer to the other dog who detests having her teeth cleaned and who at 12 was now developing plaque . Same dog food different dogs some dogs just do develop plaque more easily

well after a couple of initial applications. He still turns up when I rattle the product box with the same keen anticipation as when I rattle his treat box and, believe me, if he doesn't like something he won't entertain it for one moment. Purchased 100g size and it has lasted a good few weeks though it's difficult to judge how much remains. The applicator is problematic and the fluid nature of the gel means you can't easily apply by hand. Would be better if the gel was of a firmer consistency and the tube improved.
