This is exactly what I'd hoped for - after spending a good 10 minutes just enjoying the incredible aroma whilst swilling it around my glass, it did not disappoint in the taste department. Very smooth and surprisingly subtle considering the 53.5% volume (but this does hit you shortly afterwards) . This is my new favourite sipping bourbon, I thought I'd hit the mark previously with the amazing Eagle Rare but this is a step up. Do not under any circumstances mix with anything, just enjoy it neat and savour the full flavour. It's not cheap but trust me, you will notice the difference - if your budget won't stretch so far then try Eagle Rare and put this on your Christmas list.

Probably not one that would be on my regular drinking list but well worth a punt in the right price bracket of £40-45 inc postage. Certainly one to be sipped and is often referred to as a possible cognac replacement after a meal. Smooth, rich flavours but it's 53.5% intensity could be a bit much for unseasoned bourbon (or cognac) drinkers. Quite similar to Elijah Craig as one reviewer has already mentioned.

One of only 2 bottles I've polished off before some of the earlier bought in the cupboard. A deliciously smooth drink with plenty of sweet notes. I really enjoyed it with a single cube of ice allowing the flavours to change it as I drank. Simply marvelous
