An excellent brandy, in my opinion. The price is a bit too high in the UK considering that I bought it from German stores for less than 20 euros.Asbach remains among the few houses of cognac producers that do not hide behind the inventions VS, VSOP, XO, or the one with stars (3, 5, 7, 12). Asbach is declaring the age in years and defining the composition and origin of the liquid it sells.You can try a younger Asbach, Asbach Uralt Weinbrand, Asbach Original 3 Years, and I still think you will be impressed by the product's quality.

I have always been an avid fan of the Asbach Uralt but Asbach have recently messed with it, reduced the Alchohol content from 38% to 36%. To me, it now has a more bitter taste, is certainly not as smooth and in my humble opinion, is sadly, not as enjoyable.As such, I thought I would try this 8 year old version and I have to say, it is DIVINE! Smooth, Warming and a Pleasure to drink...... in moderation, of course.Please Asbach, if you read this, Do Not Mess with this 8 year old version!

When the cork split on the bottle, I notified the company, just in case there was a quality issue.Their customer services could not have been better. They insisted on sending not one, but three new corks to my home address.Asides the cork issue, this is a top quality product.

Buy this every year for elderly gentleman's birthday, I am in Edinburgh but I get it sent right to him in Inverness via amazon delivery at no extra cost, he says he has couple drams at bedtime, says it warms the cockles of his heart! so I know I'm doing something right!

I have had this drink from the Christmas market at Rhudisiem the drink is very pleasant compared to other brandies my husband love this drink he was not allowed to drink spirits to much but my friends husband loves it so when he will love it when I give it to him again

Started drinking this when in Germany in the army in the 80s came back to England and couldn't buy it in shops then decided to try online and purchased a bottle for a birthday present, tasted it and it is really good, full of flavour and well worth the cost.

This is my favorite Brandy having spent 10 years in Germany in the Army this was the spirit to drink. I love the original 3 year old but this 8 yr old is more rounded and mellow with a deep lingering taste. Excellent drunk neat after a good meal.

Really great brandy which we use as our base for the Big Buck which is a wonderful cocktail that had got is through lockdown (so far). The big buck is one part lemon, 2 parts Cointreau, 4 parts brandy topped with ice and ginger beer.

Got it for my dad for his Christmas present, he absolutely loved it. He is an ex army man and said that this was his favourite drink whilst he was stationed in Germany so it was worth the price plus it arrived on time.

Bought to see how it compared with the more expensive 15 year old version which I was given last year as a present. In short its a very passable substitute and I wasn't disappointed.

Bought for my wife. She really likes Asbach. Unfortunately I won't be able to buy any more from Amazon because I don't have photo I.D to prove I am over 18 (I'm 63).

Ordered for someone who used to live in Berlin and very particular about their Asbach. She said this was very, very nice & better than other bottles bought in the UK
