Melt in your mouth rum. Wow. I was love with the 12 year old Appleton, but this rum is on another level. I decided to pay the price for this one as i wanted to see what the fuss is about. Upon getting it the presentation of the box i was very surpise by. I poured into my cup, dropped one cube of ice, let it sit for about two mintues. Took a sip and i was blown away at the taste. I had coke ready to mix it in but that would be criminal with this rum. Its sweet, taste warm & is smooth. Definitely a sipping rum and one to drink on special occasions and definitely only share if you have to. Lol. After about 6 glasses i realized i had drunk much and had to hid the bottle.

An excellent 21 year old sipping rum. Possibly the best available at this price with a quality expected from more expensive rums. This beautiful coppery brown rum is exceptionally presented and comes in a lovely corked bottle. Would make a wonderful gift for someone special - or just buy it for yourself - either way you wont regret it. Molasses, vanilla and orange marmalade, plus spicy toffee, marzipan and hints of tobacco - and so smooth with almost no burn. Highly recommended, especially at the lower price of £85.00. If you want a cheaper 'younger' version of this then go for the Appleton Estate 12 Year Old Rare Blend Gold Rum at £33.00 (sometimes at £28.00).

WOW. What a rum. I bought this as a retirement present for myself and was not disappointed. I usually drink the Appleton twelve year old but this is far superior.It has a flavour and smoothness which in all my forty five years of drinking rum has not been beaten.This is the jewel in the Wray and Nephew company crown. I know that it is expensive but once you have tried it you will not be disappointed.I know that this sounds mean but I also bought a bottle of Bacardi Gold just in case any visitors wanted a tot of rum.

Myself and favoured people have been drinking Appleton Estate 12-year aged for some time having found a supplier before amazon had it available.Hang the cost- let's try the 21 year old. Put simply this product is stunning. It is on a par with similar age whiskies and brandies. Whether you prefer the other two spirits or not, I recommend you try this as an amazing experience.

There are some very good rums on the market, the Appleton 12yr old and and mount gay xo are amongst my favourites. Having had my eye on this I was brought it for my 40th and all I can say is WOW! What a Rum! By a county mile the best spirit I've ever tasted. So smooth with lovely after notes. Beautiful, one ice cube! You'd be crazy to mix this with anything.

Brought for my Grandfather as a Christmas present and he loved it. The authenticity is real and the product came with authenticity papers which where beautifully and traditionally designed.He did share some with the rest of the family and it tasted great.

What a fantastic tasting rum. Bought as a 60th birthday present and absolutely no disrespect to the other rums tasted on the day, this is far smoother and superior. Good enough to drink without a mixer but enjoy as you see fit. Highly recommended.

Well if you want to play rum one upmanship it's hard to get better than this. the only practical downside is you really should buy 2 bottles so you have one for putting by and one to drink.

Bought as a treat to sip neat or have as a rum Old Fashioned. You really can't go wrong with a Jamaican rum, and this is no exception. Beware of cheap and sugar-laden imitations!

Bought this as a present for my farther and we had a glass at his house and I have to say wow what a rum there is a hint of tobacco on this it is wonderful
